    For me moong sprout isn’t so complicated. I just soak it (preferably in a wider plate where water reaches to each grain evenly) for about 8-10 hours. Then drain the water. Leave it in the same vessel over night (just cover it with the lid), next day morning sprouts are ready. It just takes 24 hours. By the way don’t throw the water wherein it was soaked. That’s super nutritious. It can be used in dal or you can drink it just like that, it helps in weight loss.

    Washing is important every day to avoid fungus, remember lot of people have got food poison due to the fungus in sprouts

    This is a much longer process than what I do😊I just soak for 10-12 hours with approx 1” of water above the seeds; I drain the water and keep it covered on the kitchen counter in the same bowl. No cloth, nothing. Within another 24-30 hours, long sprouts appear. Then I keep it covered in the fridge and use it up soon. I usually soak methi (fenugreek) seeds to make sprouts like this.

    Instead of putting it into bowl you can also hang it somewhere. This process is much quicker. Hope it helps

    Two points....
    1)Sunlight is actually beneficial in sprout making process as vitamin K gets developed if grains r sprouted in light. 2)Sprout maker is easily available n it's so simple n easy to make sprouts in it.
    Please make note of this n hope you will amend your sunlight information.

    Not only legumes, even ragi, methi etc we do it simply by soaking a day in water and then draining and keeping in same bowl closed with a lid, it sprouts in day,if u need bigger tail keep it for 2 days but wash everyday

    You don't need to do it in such a lengthy process, you can just simply keep it soak in clean shady place without sunlight. Then it will elongate ultimately, since in absence of photosynthesis it grows faster.

    Soak the seeds for an hour ,dry the water and place it in a hot box for 8 to 10 hrs . Sprouts ready. simple process

    Why people are so confused? She is not talking about legumes/pulses, this is for small things like bajra,ragi,methi…..etc.

    I use hot water to soak Just little more hotter than room temperature grain get well soaked within 2-3 hrs .... then transfer it to a Bowl which has more hole then put a wet cloth on it within 3-4 hrs ur good sprouts are ready...(Keep sprinkling water on the cloth after every hour) by this method I make sprouts within 6-7 hrs

    I think many in comment section seem confused because the video didn’t explicitly specify this process isn’t for regular legumes (daal) seeds like moong or chana it’s for non legume variety like alfalfa, methi etc

    I wash and soak seeds in a bowl for 10 hours , then wash again and drain and keep it covered with a lid , it sprouts in 24 hours max but if u need longer tail keep it closed for 1-2 days and wash it every day to avoid fungus, that's easier

      You can soak in the morning until evening and tie in cloth. That way it sprouts overnight. it's easier, faster . We can just wash the sprouts 😊

    I usually eat sprouted methi seeds as it takes away the bitter taste and it's really not this much complicated
    I just let them soak rise for whole day and wash them once tie them up in a cotton cloth and tie that to my window, generally the sprouts grow long with in the night or if they don't I let it in that cloth for the day too and it gets ready to eat

    But if after soaking the seeds wash it,keep a wet cloth touching the seeds and cover them well,keep checking the clothes and wetting them again,then sprouts apper in two days

    Easiest way is to put the soaked seeds in a strainer and leave it inside the oven overnight. It will sprout in the morning

    1st wash and soak it for 8 hours
    Then tie in a cloth and keep inside a bowl and close the lid. Leave it for 36 hours to get long sprouts. No need to wash again and again

      Right if u want just keep sprinkling little water on the cloth every 5 to 6hrs. All this again and again nonsense is not required

    We have been doing this for so many years now but we never washed them for three days. All we used to do was wet the cloth a little bit whenever it was dry but it's the most simple meal one can prepare if they want to eat something healthy.
    Also there was one incident in which a chuha 🐁 ate out sprouts before we could because he figured out that it was ready before we could 😂

    I just soak them overnight and in the morning discard the water and keep the seed in the same bowl. And by another4-5 hrs sprouts are ready. Why to complicate this ? This is so simple

    Not required to tie n all that steps, after well socked in water, drain off and cover the lid.. Keep it in dark area. That's it. In 2 says nice long grains ready.. Using cloth and if we forget in busy working it might end up coming flies..

    People in the comment section might not know this but, yes ypu can get sprouts if you leave longer in water but she is rather talking on how to get long roots without it getting all coiled up and intertwined with thick roots, and the method she used is famous method in some areas of Bharat and this method is really used in Korean households, and I have seen comments on how nutritious the water is , yes it is , and the first water used and be taken and also there is no need to submerge all the grains or rinse every time and waste water rather sprinkling some water till it’s soaked is enogh

    Simple 2steps
    1.take a cloth place mataki in it,hit that mataki 4-5times with stone.
    2.now for one night only u have to store that mataki with full of water bowl....... that's it 😅

    Once you tight with cotton, and kept in bowl, no need to open up and clean every day, instead just sprinkle the water on wrap…then after 3rd day morning you can see big sprout

    Super difficult, super complicated. It may have worked for housewives but not for working population. Also the amount of food generated after 3 days is quite less, taste less, more of a dresser than main course, just not worth it. I hated healthy foods concept just because when i first ate sprouts!
