I scooped it up for $10 or $12 from a local Value Village several years ago and bought it mainly because of the cool design which reminded me of an astronaut's helmet or of the Gort robot as seen in 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' (1951). :)

No not really I used to have a Goodmans C520 5.5 inch colour multi standard portable TV set. Used many years for reception of long distance television in EU and beyond. This used to have tuners that covered VHF/UHF bands and composite video input multi standard pal/SECAM.
Wait you need the Panasonic kitchen model from the mid 80’s. Similar to your black model but with the handle on top towards the front and a folding support on the bottom at the front to give it an angle. I forgot the model number but it was cool. Had a silver colored housing. 9” or 10” I think.

I love Retro electronic stuff as well, from AV through tov audio Hi Fi equipment. its an interest that I gained back in the year 2000. and Back in 2020, I celebrated the 20th year, of having this cool interest as well. I read that color portable TVs are very rare. So far I haven't been able to find it.

Very interesting channel! Maybe you can in dept explain some TVs or VCRs Audio devices etc. (walk through the menue, set up the timer).
Remember with CRTs to not sit too close. The emitted photons from the tube can be damaging to the retinas. I agree, neat collection. ❤
