I fix electronics as a hobby. Fixed before VCRs, Audiocasettes players, receivers,etc.Now I fix newer stuff. But you are very cute

I watched videos of other authors on CZcams. Some people record modern films on tape. It's cool. But it is difficult :)

I think you are super cute. 8 don't think is hard to record modern movies on VHS. I have a JVC dvd/vcr that records programs both on blank DVDs or blank VHS tapes. I still take apart in pieces and can put them back together TV's old and and new, receivers, tape decks, VCRs, DVD players, radios, walkmans,etc . Few days ago I took apart a Hisense 43" HDTV. I whish I could show you the boards. I also used long ago to fix tube crt TV's, like you show in some videos. I can assemble electronics but there's no jobs like that in US

There were digital VCD's back in the 2000's which would send the digital video out through firewire, which could be captured and the deck could be controlled by a PC or Mac, or other firewire device. DVHS was the technology which included bluray quality video on tape! Apple had a firewire SDK which exposed this on the mac side, but they stopped supporting this.

my work we had series of old tvs from the 60s thru 80s they took everything out of them and put smart tvs in them

As a non-beginner i do not use a VCR to USB converter anymore. I use a VCR to HDMI converter than straight to HDMI to USB converter, because it gives you a way sharpper image and a 720p or 1080p de-interlaced (a progressive transformation signal) at the same time😱 and no driver needed either. But for a 1080p signal will work better with a USB 3.0 port for sure. Off-course you will never have a real HD image but just like i said, it will give you a way sharper image because the VCR to USB converter will gives you not higher than 576p/480p and some will gives you only 576i/480i. i - means interlace (old) signal and p for Progressive signal (more sharper image)

Hi, If your monitor had speakers you could get an adaptor for your VCP to just plug it into the monitor using a different port on the back of it. And use its volume control.
lol i just did this for my mom and all her old home made vhs tapes. vcr and a converter to the pc so freaking easy after i figured out how to use obs

If you connect a VCR to a PC, you can digitize a VHS tape. My computer is really cool, but the graphics card is a little outdated (GTX 1060). Thank you for your comment.

Good, just change the power plugs, because I noticed that the ones you are using are not compatible with the plugs of those devices and thus do not have a ground. And that can be dangerous for you. If you don't know what I'm talking about, talk to an electrician near you to explain what you need to buy. Otherwise, what you are doing is very authentic, and just continue with your hobby. Old things never die. 😊
