Aesthetically...it seriously sucks! It's ugly white plastic and there's no way of hiding that. If you have an entry with nice door hardware or you just like the look of permanent, quality hardware around your entry, this thing is garishly cheap-looking.

@@diffiehm6490 A lot of us are have English as second language, and even though we sometimes may speak it even better than a native, there is still some pitfalls, like this word! If you have never seen it spelled before there is no way you would guess the right spelling. And its not word I have ever met in school!

I also knew it - but 2 years ago, I would have written it segway too - that is how it sounds, and that's a word I have seen before.

You probably do have the tools to install a recessed box in brick. If you got a 90 degree angle drill, you have a hammer drill too. Mark the box out, drill holes along line - knock out and clue a box in there with some urethane (OSI Quad, etc), use shims to hold it there while the glue dries if you have to.

Linus, 'refuses to have a box on his wall'. Goes ahead and installs a box protruding from the wall....

Having a box that is supposed to be inside the wall and looks like it's not supposed to be sticking out isn't the same as having something that is purposefully there to angle the camera.

hardware with subscriptions, yes. Classic case of not listening to the whole argument then assuming something they say is wrong. Buying something expensive in general is better than having some subscription on top of it.

I think Linus should sticker his front door with the entire collection of security hardware brand stickers he uses for securing his house. Will be no door visible! :D
