Life without internet wasn't worse that with internet. We kids from the 80s and 90s simply didn't know that someday there would be something like Google and CZcams and playing videogames with people from the other side of the planet. And you can't miss what you don't know.

you forgot nintendo with mortal combat. at 5 i trumped a teenager on it because my 6 year old brother taught me the cheat codes. never again did the boys over at that house say that a girl couldnt play those games cause i trumped them all. oh and riding your bikes all over the place without you rmom n dad having to trail behind you to make sure you are safe AND being able to dig a hole in the yard and it be seen as normal...and i agree without not using the word gay as an insult in my generation its not even cool to say that. we would say "dont be a party pooper" or "ok mom/dad" and walk away.

You make it seem like everyone born before 1990s was a Colonial soldier. Before the Internet, you had rotary phones & physical mail, and hell, even telegrams early on. People were less worried with what they missed while sleeping, and were more concerned with what they were going to do that day - ride bikes with friends or hang out at a store.
