Very nice and smooth evening flight! She really looks great in this red! And she is so smooth with the lower headspeed! Congrats to the beautiful place to fly! Looks so peaceful! Lots of trees and other obsticles but that teaches you very precise flying. No other choice!

I noticed that your heli lifted straight up and appeared to have no translating movement to the left. Do these flybarless systems eliminate translating tendency? Thank you. (Really like that Porsche btw)
hey thanks for the compliments on that old 996! I did what I could to spruce it up a little! Thats pilot input. I don't even notice it until im taking off or landing nose in. Now, if you use a flight controller with stability or gps positioning, they will compensate, you can tell by the swash being angled before take off if that mode is active. Thanks!
hey! I like the 420 better. I really can't tell you why for sure, but I tend to go to the 580 size if I wanna fly bigger than the 420, but I fly the 420 the most. I would consider the 420 competition as a great in between. good luck, they are all great choices!!
great question, especially as I am in the process of learning the v bar and am not a hardcore pilot. The v bar is heavier and the switches are a bit closer together and the gimbals have less tension and are super smooth. definitely high quality. my dx6e has better gimbals than my NX8, but both of those have that "old pair of shoes" feel. Im having to get a little used to the different feel. As far as the flight controllers, I love the feel of the Spektrum 6250 but man, setup and tuning is more complicated. I fight the PID settings on some helicopters especially the tail. The V bar is ridiculously easy in this regards. I compare it to the time I switched from PC to MAC, it was different and foreign to me, but I kept having these "oooooohhh wow" moments as I learned the system. I can definitely see why so many pilots use it. hope this helps! keep it in the air!!
@@mykel1969 Just built my raw 500. Same radio setup with VBar EVO. My flight style is similar to yours.. slower and smooth 3D. I did install the 25T pulley. I'll try those head speeds. thanks much

My goal is to fly in the style of Alan Szabo Jr. I started posting on here to have something to look back on and motivate me to push on. Good luck and thanks!!

So at lower head speed you want to run more pitch, I run 15 degrees at lower head speeds and 13.5 on the rest of my head speeds.

What headspeed was that flight? Do run the optional 25T tail pulley (for lower headspeed) or the standard one?
1850, and ya it needs that pulley l but I haven't gotten it yet but will. 1850,2200,2600 is what im running.
