Period education is like so so important. So many people remain ignorant and hence they call periods dirty. It should be a part of the school education along with sex education.

@@chocolate_bunny2297 it is important. Sex education is what prevents teen pregnancies and a general air of thinking that it's 'dirty'. It is just a part of life (for most). It might be uncomfortable, I agree, but we need to move past that. It exists. Deal with it. It shouldn't be such a topic of taboo.

I bought a menstrual cup over two years ago and I finally got the courage to start using it two months ago! BEST DECISION IVE EVER MADE! I have really sensitive skin and pads and tampons have always irritated my skin down there and I would be so aware of my period because I felt so dirty throughout it. With the cup everything feels so clean and fresh down there! And I’m no longer ruining my panties with tampon leaks or pad adhesive. Honestly a life changing decision (and it’s much better for the environment!)

@@meghanami7264 this is a month late but virginity is a social construct. Using this won't "lose" your virginity because losing your virginity is literally just your hymen ripping. The hymen is just a thin stretchy bit around the vagina, sometimes it doesn't even rip or break since different people have different hymens.
Edit: Hymens can also rip by just doing splits, yes the type of splits you see cheerleaders and athletes do.

I’m 20 years old. When I started using the menstrual cup as virgin, my hymen didn’t beak but it got stretched. But after third cycle it broke. There is short learning curve.. for me it took about 2 cycles to experiment different folding methods and body positions. I use the punch down fold and now I can take out the menstrual cup and insert it even in public toilets. As a medical student it has been a life saver since I mostly spend my time in hospital and library.
The first three days of my period I empty the cup in morning, afternoon and then before going to bed. From my fourth day... I usually wear it for 10 hours.
After every cycle I wash it well with my vaginal safe soap (natural and odourless) and then boil it for 15 mins.
I also recommended and gifted my mom, her first menstrual cup. And she loves it. My only regret is “WHY DIDN’T I START USING IT EARLIER!!”

To listen to these questions & having read them online over & over again makes me so very sad. If you're a parent, this is EXACTLY why we need sexual education in India !! I mean women don't even know the difference between a vagina & urethra. And to hear women scared of losing their virginity by using a cup goes to show how the society has oppressed women into this kind of thinking. SMH. Great video, very informative 👍🏼

Another important aspect to choose cup is if you play outdoor games or exercise you will need medium to hard cup depending up on how much active you are, or you are doing less activity you will need soft to medium cup. I'm saying this from my personal experience. 1st cup I bought was She cup C and it was hard as well as big in diameter and I felt pressure on my bladder while wearing it as well as I couldn't pee, now I'm using Diva cup size 0 it's soft as well as noticeably small in diameter. Hi there, we hope you have the best experience with menstrual cups and they work as fabulously for you as they did for us.
Compared with single-use products, a cup is more eco-friendly, doesn’t have to be changed as frequently, and may be less prone to leakage. Menstrual cups also hold more blood and because they collect rather than absorb blood, you're not at risk of getting toxic shock syndrome (TSS), a rare bacterial infection associated with tampon use.
Having said that, every woman's body is different and goes through its own period journey, therefore, they should use the hygiene product they are most comfortable with ❤️
      Sending you love & light

I have PCOS, so my flow is so heavy that some days, I will fill up an ultra tampon in less than an hour. Pads fill up and leak really fast. For almost 10 years, there wasn't a single month where I didn't ruin something to the point where I had to sleep on a towel while wearing a tampon and a pad.
Four years ago, I found out about menstrual cups and bought one ASAP out of desperation. It has been completely life-changing. The first cycle was mostly spent trying to get used to placing and remove it, but after I got used to it, I haven't had a single leak. I can wear it for 5-7 hours on the heaviest days with nothing (which may not seem like long, but that's huge for me). I can never feel it in there. Plus, I've saved a ton of money with how many tampons I would go through.
It's still kind of awkward having to insert/remove it, but it's FAR less gross than walking around with period stains or waking up in a pool of blood. If your flow is light or average, I guess it's more of a choice (and it does feel more hygienic), but when you're as bad as me, it's a necessity. I can't recommend these enough.

As an indian I understand ur situation... Start giving hints about this cup to ur mom.... Share her how it is so beneficial randomly.... Don't say u wanna use it just give her all the knowledge bout it and I'm sure there will be a time she will ask u to use it or maybe if not u will be confident enough to tell her by yourself

Try telling her that commercially available pads contain dioxins that can cause cancer in the long run.

I'm twenty and just started using menstrual cup in my last period and it's the best. It was a bit difficult at the start. Mostly because I've never used tampons and only pads, so it took me a literal hour to figure out where to even put it or how deep to put it in. (IF I even put it right but I just decided a test run and in the end I did put it right.) Taking it out was also a challenge but it was the cleanest I'd felt and I didn't feel as disgusting as I usually did. In fact, I had to set up an alarm because I'm can be an airhead and I was afraid I might forget it or something (I didn't, I was just paranoid), that was how much it did not hinder my day when I'd usually be stubborn about not moving from my bed or seat. It was one of those 'I am glad I was born in the right decade' moments. Thanks so much, videos like this gave me the encouragement to even purchase the thing.

I have tried menstrual cup for the first time during my last periods. It was a bit difficult to insert and felt uncomfortable on first day but later I loved it. I didn't feel it at all and could do activities as if I'm not on periods. 👍🏻

Insertion is easy. But when i try to take it out, the cup is really high up, so i have to push quite a bit and I'm afraid of a prolapse due to that. It pains like heck too, while taking out, even with trying to pinch. I don't want to give up yet, but it's scary
