They don’t want the villain to kill people so they can bring him back as a hero in a sequel with no moral complications.

That's not entirely true. Deckard Shaw was locked up for a while for the things he did in Furious 7 and Cypher was in that black site until she escaped with Letty's help. Besides, not all the villains become heroes. Cypher, Verone, and Braga are likely still bad guys and there's no way Dante will get redemption either. Plus, Aimes was pretending to be a good guy and is actually bad. I should also mention that Deckard revealed in Hobbs And Shaw that he had to kill Owen because he was too far gone, despite helping with Dom get his son back in Fast 8.
@@ChrisTheAspergerGuy They literally had to bring Han back from the dead just so people would be okay with Shaw being a good guy now. Just saying.
@@Windupchronic That wasn't the reason. They brought Han back long before the Shaw brothers showed up. Everything surrounding Tokyo Drift was a retcon. Besides, did anyone truly believe Han was dead?
@@ChrisTheAspergerGuy They brought Han back after he died by setting FF4-6 _before_ the events of Tokyo Drift. They didn't bring his character back from the dead; they just set the films prior to his death. There's a difference.
Tokyo Drift in the timeline happens _after_ F6. The timeline of the films is 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10. Han is only alive in 4-6 because they occur _before_ his death.
Deckard Shaw shows up as the baddie in F7 _after_ he kills Han in Tokyo Drift, the film otherwise known as the extremely long feature length post credit scene to F6.
Han wasn't truly brought back from the dead within the timeline until F9.

"But it's entertaining who cares" If we keep up with this mentality, all the mainstream media will keep following the same trend of no plot or logic and we'll see the degradation in the production quality while majority of the casual audience keep filling their pockets

Agree 100%. We are letting mediocrity (or straight-up idiocy) slide too easily. Marvel and Star Wars fans are both really guilty of this. If they voted with their wallets early on and said no to the nonsense the studios churned out, both franchises wouldn't be in the mess they are in now.
I can make my peace with the haphazard handling of physics (sort of) but what annoyed me most was the briefing with the holographic computer screens showing a history of the Torretto clan through the years. They used footage from the previous films. How the hell was there a camera floating above the middle of a river as Dom and Brian went over a cliff in a car in a desert in the middle of nowhere. I have never in my life yelled out in a theatre. ‘OH COME ON’ Not ashamed I did it. Not ashamed at all.
It always bugs me in films when they look at any kind of surveillance footage etc that's just film footage that there is no way a camera in-world could have recorded.
The God's Eye sees all.
When i was a kid people were killed all the time in animated tv shows. Speed Racer, Marine Boy, Johnny Quest ect.
Nobody died in order to make Dom look more heroic.
1. It hurts me to my bones that the "Tight!" catchphrase never gets love. It's my favorite. I even love it more than Super easy, Barely an Inconvenience
2. Han always looks high, so maybe that was the point of the hallucination scene
3. I appreciated the twist with Ritchson's character, showing that Dom was so cocky he thought he'd convert that guy like he converted Shaw and Hobbs. He better not switch sides in 11!

The Fast and Furious movies are cartoons and somehow more unrealistic than any comic book movie.

now about people dying part.
these days i kinda have conscious of people dying in movies like when bomb got off and there was literally a devastating effect ( no one cared, no conseques). later, the leads of the film kills bunch of agency guys. those were kinda soldiers doing their duties, following orders. if villian did it, its okay, we undertand there no moral compass there but leads of the film are doing it as easy without any guilt. Earlier, I didn't used to care to noticed these things maybe, now, on every kill i felt well that guy must have a family and the good guys killed him. these new consciousness was heavy for some reasons, dkw. 😅
There's a certain level of "switch your brain off and just enjoy the show" movies that I can get behind. F&F and Transformers were always two franchises that I just could not turn my brain off enough to enjoy.
I can kinda agree with you on that for certain Marvel movies and the Star Wars prequel trilogy. But when it comes to movies like F&F it gets to be just downright insulting to anyone with a functioning brain cell.

The most unrealistic scene here is the last one with the dam... If a Portuguese dam blew up in this year's draught you'd probably get two or three drops of water from it. Also our national guard didn't show up with their pursuit cars for some extra fun, but at least the production did pay for everyone's tolls when they were filming so I guess that makes up for unrealism.

I remember a time when Hollywood would make films like 'Seven Alone' (a family of kids have to make their way on the Oregon Trail after their parents die along the way), or Dramatic films like 'Coma' (when her friend falls into a coma after a routine surgery, a doctor tries to discover exactly why her friend and many other people have experienced the same thing), or what used to be called EPICS ' Dr. Zhivago' ( Russian history unfolds in the background of a tender and troubled romance) but now, they don't seem to be able to write that well. It's as if a first year creative writing class was given all the jobs in Hollywood. You get people writing fist fight scenes who have never been struck by a fist. You get films where what should be ugly people (Carrie remake) being 'picked on' by their classmates written by people who have never been picked on. As writers know, you can only write what you know.
ACTUALLY people did die in the explosion. The news report said "Casualties were kept to a minimum but the damage was catastrophic." Minimum isn't the same as ZERO.

Clearly though the writers are making so many of the characters basically the same now that pretty much we associate them with both
Jason Momoa waited until 4 movies to come seeking revenge. After Dom and his family have become experienced super spies who gained super strength on top of immortality in the form of rising from the dead whenever they want.

I’ve been waiting for this pitch meeting ever since I saw this car crash of a movie!
Its like listening to a dance tune don't think, just go with it.
Of course it took Dante 10 years to prepare himself for taking on Dom and his gang. They have plot armor protecting them. Have you seen the number of car crashes and other stunts they've been in that would kill normal people, but they get off with just minor cuts and bruises?
I feel like the fast and furious franchise can make a 90min movie of just action and people would just be okay with it

You can explain the 10 years wait easily. Dante needs help from the agency, more specific he needs the God's Eye. And since Mr. Nobody was in charge Dante was waiting. Now with Aimes as the head of the agency he has his help and he has the God's Eye and thats why hes attacking now after over 10 years :)

This series appeals to the lowest level of the IQ scale. The fact so many people continue to watch it, is telling.
It's been a good while since I've seen a film/franchise with such a complete lack of respect for it's audience's time or intelligence...
It's one of the reasons why shows like the Kartrashians tv show, the Jersey Shore and Real Desperate House Wives of Meh continue to exist.

Tell that to Christopher Nolan. He is a fan of fast and furious movies. I haven't seen any Transformer movie after 3rd, Fast and furious after Furious 7 and Marvel movie after Civil War except Infinite War and Endgame. But I know smart people also watch these hollow fun movies. It's not indicators of IQ.
No civilians die in these movies because that would imply that Vin's character had failed a mission.

Jason Momoa carries it!
Yeah! His character and performance was without a doubt the best part of the movie! He steals every scene he is in and whenever he is around, the movie is just a little bit better! Kind of like when Dwayne Johnson stole the show in Fast 5 and Jason Statham stole the show in Furious 7!
Sometimes all you need in these kind of movies is an over the top evil, insane villain that just does whatever he wants and enjoys everything he is doing! Overall his inclusion helped the movie as it rose the stakes and made everything more personal and dire as we are in the endgame now!
The movie also has some great action but not completely ridiculous or out of this world like cars flying in space!
The last part of the movie was really good and the cliffhanger ending made me excited for the next fast movie! Something I wasn't efter the last movie!
It’s definitely not a 7/10, a 7/10 is a good movie and this is not a good movie. How is this a good movie when most of the acting is bad, the writing is horrible and the continuity of these movies is trash. The only “good” aspect is some of the action and cinematography and that’s about it, being genuine it’s a 5/10 so average or 4.5/10 below average but far from a good movie 😆

Jaby will hate me for this but Achara is wayyy too smart compared to him. I've been following this channel for 5 years and Achara really has a good understanding of movies and storytelling in general. Even in bollywood movies, Achara understands a lot of stories purely from the premise but Jaby always questions how and why when he doesn't understand the language.
Achara hit the nail in the head with the PG13 explanation whereas Jaby starts to compare this crap with star wars
No body dies in Fast and the furious except Paul Walker, they will figure out in next few movies how to resurrect him too.

It's because everyone got so upset about Man of Steel and how all these people must have died when Superman was fighting Zod (ignoring the same thing happening in Avengers). Now every movie has to have fights in abandoned train yards or some shit.
I thought this was the last film, then it just ended, then Dwayne Johnson came back. I was confused. All are fun movies for those who don't need to pay too much attention (with what I'm sure is a lot of plot that nobody can focus on), but this film had some of the most jacked Hollywood actors popular right now, only missing Henry Cavill. Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa, John Cena, Alan Ritchson, Jason Statham, and Dwayne Johnson. Tyrese is physically fit, but is more goofball than action star.
