    One of the big reasons why this movie sucks, is that Patty basically fired most of the team who made the first movie good, like the screenwriter and Zach Snyder's stunt and effects team. She had complete creative control over this film and it shows. Sad because Wonder Woman deserves better than this.

I mean if you had just been posessed by a guy, saved the world, been remote-raped and done all that stuff with a woman i'd imagine you'd have more of a reaction than "Oh hey, nice weather huh?" so i kinda doubt he was awake during that time. Which doesn't make this any more okay. I mean drugging someone and raping them while they're unconscious still doesn't make it ok and that's basically the same thing this movie did.

I get that they wanted to use the guy he posses as the new love interest and that was how they would introduce him but it could have been that they ended up knowing each other between movies. Then just push that he's showing an interest in her but she keeps longing for Steve. Then when she has to renounce her wish, have Steve say something about moving on and it opens the window for the new romance.

    The one thing I will always dislike about this film is how badly they botched Cheetah in this I mean I’m not a huge dc fan but Cheetah is one of my absolute favorite DC villains I mean Barbara Minerva is a stone cold greedy and successful archeologist who (before Wonder Woman) always achieved what she set out to do so after she obtains the goddess of the hunts power and learns of Wonder Woman she sets out to best her soon to be nemesis to gain even more power losing her humanity and becoming a canabalisitic violent and remorseless warrior with each failure. Here she’s just a fan girl who wants to be in Diana’s shoes…

    It was set in the nineteen eighties because there weren’t any other meta humans. Thus it would explain why Batman and Superman didn’t show up to help, Also I truly thought the loss was going to be the guy Trevor inhabited. I thought they were going to wrestle with the morality of inhabiting this guy, versus their desire to be together. Also when his son made wishes they didn’t come true. I thought when the boy wished for his father’s greatness they would wrestle with the idea that they would have to kill this little kid. There were so many interesting places this could have gone. Finally Diana and Barbara had great chemistry as friends. I thought they could have had a great resolution with them becoming friends, alleviating Diana;s loneliness, and Barbara’s insecurity. Then going forward into the next movies, that is when the jealousy can come in and she can become Cheetah somehow, With her being an archeologist, the African incarnation would have been easy. It would also allow Kristen Wiig to de`age.

      At least that moment had some thought put into it and had a beautiful context. It was executed laughably bad, but credit where credit is due.
      It makes absolutely no sense however why Steve Trevor couldn't just be blipped back into existence. You know, without possessing another Human being and basically assisting Wonder Woman in a rape.

    - There is no oil in Egypt. [Edit: I was wrong here. Egypt does have oil]
    - Propellor plane pilots can't fly computer controlled jets
    - Radar does not rely on the visible light spectrum
    - Fighter jets do not carry enough fuel to complete a transatlantic flight.
    - Wonder Woman does not have the power to turn things invisible.
    In other words..
    She took a pilot who can't fly this plane, to a plane that can't make the trip, using a power she doesn't have, to effect a radar hack that can't possibly work, to a destination that can't be correct.
    This is already one of the craziest scenes ever put to film. But the set up makes it even more batshit:
    - Airport security in 1984 was basically non-existent. It would have been a lot easier to get onto a passenger plane without a passport than to sneak into a military base and board a fighter jet.
    - The man Steve is possessing likely does have a passport and was almost certainly carrying ID with his home address on him when he got possessed.

How did he have enough fuel to get there without air to air refueling or touching down and refueling at another airfield? Only the later models of the panavia tornado had automatic sweepwing technology. How did Steve even know how to operate the manual sweep wing that was probably in this model?

    If Patty wasn't so determined that Wonder Woman's movies would be cut off from the rest of the DCEU, then it would have been possible to make a plot (which takes place post Justice League), where the world needs information that only Steve Trevor had, so Flash travels to the past, rescues him just as the plane crashes and brings him to the future.

    • @OsSas3
      @OsSas3 Před 3 lety

      That's also dumb. Flash travelling through time shouldnt be used as much due to butterfly effect implications. They better save that for Flashpoint only. Also, why can't we have a WW only focus movie? The problem was setting the movie at a time before Justice League so it contradicts itself from BvS where she was away from the world of men.

    • @toottoot75
      @toottoot75 Před 3 lety

      It wouldn’t create a butterfly effect because the plane still explodes and everyone in the past thinks that Steve is dead, he disappears from the past and brought to the future, so everyone thinks he dies in the explosion anyways.
