Daniel's videos are so informative and well scripted and you can tell he knows what he is doing. Honestly enjoy very video and I always seem to go back to "A day in the life" because that was the first video I watched of you and I immediately hit subscribe and turned mybpost notifications on. GOD bless you and hope you come to Namibia one day
From his pieces
You get fun
Education
Passion
And well balanced information
Very important Video much appreciated for your valuable time
That's where I started watching ashville too! Big thumbs up
This was actually a masterclass. At college or university each model might be a lecture or even a module on it's own ... but Daniel has summarised it splendidly.
For Free!
@@stringerbell547 Not for free ... we had to spend time to watch it and time is a commodity, BUT it is totally worth it and we are walking away with profit in hand - and Daniel is walking away with our admiration and respect.
All this advice and he still went bankrupt
@@michaelleaperGreyhound Can you explain?
@@michaelleaperGreyhound I take it you are not only not a fan. You are a keyboard warrior. Who hates when anyone due to hard work and determination can be successful!
A business lesson in asset finance. The information, though summarised, had depth and was delivered masterfully right through to the final case studies. Limited by knowledge of speciality and jurisdiction in the examples, the principles are universal. Well done, Team Asheville! Next video, marketing, advertising, networking, and sales, please? Thank you for the insights!
Gotta love when a ashville video comes out unexpectedly nice treat for a Monday night before going back to work tomorrow
Daniel your content is amazing, it's not even about ashville or construction, it's the information about running a business, even if you inspire one person to start their own company it's a win, the content is golden and created by someone that has done it and still learning.
As an Independent Contractor for Seamless/GrubHub in New York This has been an indispensable Information as I am actually looking into getting a Automobile just for doing Deliveries rather than use my personal car Thank You
Very useful info. My business has grown much too slow over the last 30 years, because I always went for outright ownership of equipment, instead of financing to keep my overhead low. Lessons Learned.
Cheers Daniel, I’ve just started as an agricultural contractor, I’ve tended to buy my kit on a 3-5 yr finance agreement, and so far, seems to be working well
Thanks for your videos, it inspires and encourages me to grow my business
When the notification comes up, you jump on it.....always good content.
Brilliant video, I set up as a owner operator 6 months ago and decided to buy a used 6x2 unit outright last month. It can be scary thinking about big repair bills, but having the low overheads generally makes up for that. Keep on smashing it Ashville 😎🤙
A brilliant, down to earth approach to what can be a daunting subject for many. Keep it up Daniel!
This video is what I needed when I started my plant-hire company sometime ago, what a great video! Well done Daniel for this one!
Excellent video. Very educational, thanks Ashville team. Happy new years.
You are like a teacher in small business ownership. Love the channel.
Owning all equipment. Renting premises. Optimizing all the work, while saving money for new investments and then buying the most needed item. Struggling with building departments, business structure. Making automatizations. Working on it. Watching these videos for relax and finding usefull information. Pease from Latvia. 🇱🇻
Watched Asheville when it started, absolute first video and a good number afterwards; my perception of business changed and as an HGV driver. The guy gives germs no other person does.
Have a prosperous New Year Asheville and all the best Daniel...
Big love from Sheffield...
Great video. Love knowing the workings of your business. ✊🏾
This is very useful. Thank you Daniel
Huge fan of weekly but these business videos are Brilliant really entertaining and informative as someone how is building up a business this sort of insight is priceless cheers Ashville
I don’t do good in a classroom setting but damn I can sit here listen and learn from him all day long
Excellent class, thank you.
Thanks Daniel. Informative, categorised and considered. Priceless advice for new business owners, especially in the construction sector that dont have previous business experience or guidance to go off. Theres a big difference between work experience and business insight. Appriciation from a working man starting at the bottom👍
Thank you. Excellent video!! Very interesting point of view.
We use all 4 methods in our business in the US. If I do lease I usually buy the the bit of kit outright at the end of lease. On finance I always pay off early.
This is an MBA Entrepreneurship or MSc Business & Management topic in action with real life examples. Excellent content as always Daniel. I learn more engaging topics in your short & succinct videos than I did at University.
Enjoyed this Daniel, more please!
Fantastic and informative video Daniel, I wish you and your business a Happy New Year.
Thanks for a great video ! Really helpful for someone like myself with a small business dealing with vehicles looking to expand 🙌🏾🙏🏾
Great insight. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Brilliant and insightful video...
This is absolute gold. Thanks
Wow Daniel's got the knowledge! That right there is the kind of advice people pay good money for!!! Happy New Year Ashville 👍🙂👍
Good straight up explaining thanks 👌
So interesting Daniel mentions all the figures!
Well done great video 👏👏👏
Happy new year mate and great video keep them coming.
Excellent presentation and guidance Danial. Looking forward to you sharing your knowledge and experience in 2023. 🏴🇺🇸
Very informative video, big up from Jamaica
Very insightful and informative content 👌 👏 👍
Hi Daniel
It was good that you mentioned that it can work if an owner driver buys an older vehicle because they will look after it. It’s when you let inexperienced drivers loose on older vehicles that the problems start. Very informative video.
I’m an owner driver in Bristol with a tipper. Putting drivers on older lorries big mistake and finishes people up. Stick with one and save up until you can afford to do something else 👍🏼
Very insightful video that mate… it’s explained a lot in a short period of time… in easy terms…. Cheers
Thanks Daniel, great advice
Thanks for advice as someone who has haulage business i have learned more
Can you make a video explaining each Ashville division/branch and what they do ? For example breaking down what Ashville aggregates does on a daily basis. Also can you do a video on aspiring construction entrepreneurs how to start their own company or ways you can get your foot in the door. Love from NYC Happy New Years Daniel !!!
its an amazing idea to help others but wouldn't he just be creating competition for his own business in both of your examples? in the UK of course
Sounds like that could become an Ashville Training course
Ashvile concrete will do concrete
Really good video very interesting having the numbers £ with personal experience 👌🏽👍🏽👍🏽
That shouldn't have been interesting but I think that was the best Ashville video I had watched. Well done guys 👍
Again, Very brave and a great help to people trying to run their own businesses. Thank you, Daniel. You really are going from strength to strength. I am so happy to see new videos out midweek just keeps me going till weekly every Sunday. For your next video could you suggest what course or training would you recommend that helped you in all aspects of your company? What did you start off with, I think you said web design. However, you quite clearly have a very good understanding of the financial side of things too. Get work by the video team also. See you Sunday.
Nice balanced appraisal of the options.
Daniel you have done a great review, in the old days lease or rent was not in the frame. For company cars the difference between buy or leasing from experience the end result is financial the same.
Businessmen sharing honest opinons, faliures and successes is very rare these days. We're lucky to have Daniel.
The visual breakdown makes it easy to understand and the outline can be used in other areas with minor adjustments. I might borrow your outline for a presentation I'm doing on Thursday and in return, I will reference the channel. Hope you don't mind. Thank you, good Sir.
This has been a really useful video for thinking about my own business. If you get chance to do more of these type videos, or start a course, I would be interested.
Thank you for that video!
Daniel I watch u every episode your videos bring me enjoyment was you ever tested as a kid for ADHD as I have it myself and believe you have it yourself keep up the hard work and amazing videos
Brilliant video 👍🏻👍🏻
Another video ideea, I would like to see a video of your biggest mistakes, or near-misses, I belive would be interesting, I'm 28 now and I'm struggling sometimes with my bussines, but hearing the story with your first tipper when you didn't know anything about licences and stuff like this lol, mate that moment was very helpful for me that time, seeing someone else making silly mistakes but sti didn't give up and learn from them. Thanks Daniel
This is on the list! 😎
this is a business masterclass!!
Very informative 👍🏾
Masterclass piece 👌
Valuable information 👍
Great explanation big man
Fundamentally this is a very good video!
Got a lot of respect for Ash telling things exactly how they are and not hiding what he pays for machines
They should play these types of videos to kids at school/college
Thanks great advice.great man 👍👏
Great video!
Good valuable information Daniel. Can you make a video on your system for the maintenance of all of the trucks and machines? You have been an inspiration, all of my company trucks are black as well.
He's a must watch. I doubt he even looks at the comments, cause he ain't got time
Interesting video Daniel
Thank you Daniel
God bless you 🙏
This was longgg over due… perfectly explained ❤😊
Very informative video, plus check out your gains... nice🙂
I knew a guy who started an airline from nothing because he understood that aviation runs on leasing. It's just a big spreadsheet. I wish more young people knew that. It would get them to dream big.
Genius , you're a genius bro
Daniel may not have the pretentious vocabulary that many leaders use, but this video shows how well he understands his world. ✌️
Great video. I've certainly learnt something, wasn't aware of deffering the VAT.
We have started to move to leasing and then buying it for £100 end of term rather than hp/finance as you don't need to pay the VAT up front, can be done monthly instead.
Knowing what I know now, ill deffer the VAT and finance on the next one!
You can only defer the VAT for upto 3 months i.e when your next VAT return is due to HMRC. It's purely a cashflow tool but only available when financing via Hire Purchase. If you lease then VAT is added to your monthly repayments for the entirety of the finance agreement.
@@rishipancholi yeah understood. 3 months is perfect, we normally pay a lot more VAT than we claim back so very handy
That sir is a first class video
Great content
Thanks very informative
brilliant video
Thank you Dianal 👌🏾👍🏽
Well done
Nice piece though
Very educative
Danial yr truly an inspiration
I'm still wondering how many hours in a day you get as I only get 24 in mine
Wishing you every success & more in 2023 as you truly deserve it bud
Well done Daniel 👏
Oh wow thanks Daniel I'll send over my info right away.. head ass!
No, pls don’t. That’s a scam.
Perhaps a video on managing your yard down in London and the different factors that go into this? Transport based informative video with Terry?
🤩✌ Happy New Year
love the video, loved the obligatory 'im not a financial adivsor' with the smirk. you know someone would rent 50 lorries then try to blame you 😂
Sound advice 😊
everyday people, if you cannot afford it do not buy it. Always pay for the roof over your head and keep your utilities bills paid.
If you never take risks you’ll never grow in society
If you have the contacts. Do the work
Good for buying a house, no good if you're running an expanding business.
If you follow this advice you will never grow, worst advice ever
@@ISLANDTRUCKER you’ll grow your cash. I followed this advice and have grown just fine I just save for a year and buy what I need with cash. I’ll keep that interest I would of paid because I pay cash
Good info
leasing is expensive however you will have a set monthly outlay which is a business expense with no repairs,no insurance no road tax and a replacement if broke depending on the terms of lease good for one or two person firm
You know, Daniel, i think you are going after That P.E . Money, since there s a big push for infraestructure in The U.S for example.
Well done 👍.
From Portugal 🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹👍
What's p.e. short for?
Private equity!
Look for it!
Great informative video ! Thank you..
Would love to take some of these to Gambia, West Africa, accepting any machines that are due for scrap, tipper skip, digger, loaders…
Big up ashville
Good video Daniel .Great information on the pros and cons of buying machinery .Wishing you a Happy New year .
What an insperation to young hungry people bro ✊
Thank you
If you choose to rent always have robust insurance because the rental company will always look for those imaginary scratches.
As an owner driver January to the end of February it's completely dead and the only way I can get sleep at night is knowing that my truck even though its second hand, at least its paid off and I can afford so there's no one knocking on the door for missed payments.
If you have guaranteed contracts then leasing with full repair and maintenance is always the way to go. But again you're only as safe as the people providing you with the loads.
