- We follow the entire journey of a rock from within the earth @aggregateindustries in Glensanda Scotland, to @hs2 in London. We explore each step from extraction, to processing, to transportation over sea, rail and road, including breakdowns on hundreds of millions of pounds worth of plant and machinery.
This is a journey Daniel has wanted to document since a child when he used to look at material on a construction site or between sleepers on train tracks and wondered how it got there. If you have ever wondered the same thing, this one is for you!
Thank you to all who participated and made this possible @aggregatesindustries @GBRF

That’s probably the best stand alone video you have done. Really interesting fantastic video and great diagrams. Daniel as always brilliant in front of camera.
The amazing thing about your videos is the detailed explanations given at every point.. you’re doing a great job Daniel and the Ashville team, love from Nigeria…

The intro, graphics, editing & cinematography on Michael O'Donovans quarry is utterly superb 👌🏽😂
Thanks to Will 😂
I am a veteran ashville fan. Didn't think I'd enjoy this format of ashville so only just watched it. It is up there with the very best engineering shows on any platform internationally. Outstanding effort and commitment Daniel. Hats off.
We thank you, much appreciated! Also have a watch of “WWII Treasure In Underground Bunker Beneath Quarry” when you can 👌
Credit to you and the entire video team. This is serious!
👊
That’s one of the best CZcams videos I’ve ever watched. Brilliant
👊🙏
Thar video was eipc. The graphics where better than what national geographic did for your show. 🙌🏻🙌🏻 well done. Your videos blow me away sometimes. Not many channels spend this much time and effort in their videos. 🔥
What an absolutely amazing video. I rarely comment on videos but Daniel and the Team have outdone themselves here.
The graphics were extremely detailed and easy to understand, Daniel’s storytelling and information is captivating and the topic itself is incredibly interesting.
Bravo 🎉
Bravo🎉
That was a great 14 mins of what happens to a rock it was good to watch keep up the good work and dont get shook
The popularity comes from his humbleness. Keep clapping for Daniel folks he's a natural presenter. BBC would do well to sign him up 🎉🎉🎉
Phuk the peado supporting racist BBC corporation
Love it, Building Impossible With Daniel Ashville the OG version.. Lets go!!
Wow, that’s was amazing video.
Kudos to Mother Nature for supplying the materials in 1st place. 🤙
For those about to rock, we salute you.
Two videos in one week 🥳🥳
Fantastic, informative and interesting video, brilliant graphics and editing, has to be the best video yet.

The fact that Daniel, you can operate any of the machineries on your fleet is astonishing and absolutely incredible! respect!
You're a top presenter. I'm learning a lot from you!
I love these style of standalone videos, so educational and totally kept my attention on a topic I have no clue about 👏
you make everything you do interesting. Love it keep it up Dan👍
TV quality production, great work all at Ashville

What an absolutely amazing video. I hardly ever comment on CZcams videos but this is a stunning production and it felt like I was watching a million £ production on the Discovery channel. Well done you, your team and your partners. Absolutely stunning!
MOM'S Raised a Brilliant Boy Yeah !
Production & Journey Spot On !
As an health and safety environment professional I appreciate ever bit of this video. Learnt a lot form it.
You and your team should be very proud of yourselves. Nailed it Ashville!
That was totally fascinating, the sheer volume of material that is processed and then finally used is quite mind boggling! Really excellent narration Daniel and fantastic filming by your team, it's no wonder that Ashville is going from strength to strength, you must all be very proud, you should be!
Daniel thank you for always showcasing our industry!
Love the standalone videos the work and effort that goes into them. It’s just unbelievable.
Massive thank you to you, Daniel and the team. 🙏
I just watched a 15 mins video about a rock and it was awesome!! Great video, greetings from Chile!
Man shows serious attention to detail - and I just love it. Well done to all the team who put this highly informative piece together. The presenter who seemed to understand his brief did pretty well too. He'll go far!
Very educational enjoyed every minute of it 👍🏻 I used to work for aggregate industries at Gerrards Cross as a fitter didn’t realise how many times it went round being washed and crushed before it be became type 1😮
I wish Daniel had been my geography teacher, he has made rocks interesting
This Video truly felt epic!
This is the best Ashville video I've ever seen, and I've seen them all :D
The WHAT hole??
😅😅😅
Bro...🤯
Glory hole a lot of them around 😂😂😂😂😂
You take you chance whoever is behind the hole🤣🤣🤣😂
What an insight his has been, just shows you what we take for granted & the journey it takes.
The best standalone video so far. Lets hope the HS2 warriors dont get upset again 🤣
I was just thinking that 🤣🤣. Probably crying over their cider while waiting for their benefits about how Daniel just ignored their petty threats because he is "Serious"💪💪 and Not Shook!
How wonderful! Educational and much more. Thank you Daniel, and to your Ashville teams and associates. As always, your word is your bond. And now to watch it all over again😊❤️
WoW!
It was an absolutely amazing documentary, first class, and very educational, by far definitely the finest video you have ever posted.
Thank you.
This has got to be the greatest video I've seen of ashville yet! Absolutely fantastic.
Daniel is making some big moves in the industry
More of this, please, very interesting
We are always working on bringing you more standalone videos. Thanks for watching 👊
Worthy of a discovery channel series 👍 great stuff Daniel
You nailed this one!
Here from the Tom Scott newsletter! ❤
What a beautifully constructed video! You have an incredible job!
👊
Ashville on a Wednesday is sublime. I'm hoping that when the personal channel starts, that it releases mid-week, that way i never have to go more than a few days without.
Graphics are next level.
Props to the crew. Especially the audio. Spot on.
We will we will ROCK YOU!!! …. We will we will ROCK YOU!!! Fantastic video many thanks to all involved 👍🏻
Absolutely brilliant journey breakdown from point A to B. Thanks Daniel and the team.
It’s amazing what mother nature provides. To think we wouldn’t have homes or roads amongst many other things. Metals, water etc. the way you explain things is so interesting. Continued success to you Daniel and your team.
Awesome video, this should be shown to all construction students/workers so we can understand where aggregates come from.
What a fantastic video it's incredible where these materials come from
Great video again Daniel and the team. Every day is a school day.
THIS is mindblowing.
I just love your enthusiasm.
Love the stand alone videos; better quality than the Nat Geo show tbh.
Simply… wow!
I can’t even begin to fathom the amount of work to have all those graphics. You’ve got to have a least a rudimentary understanding of the crushing process to be able to illustrate it and have those illustrations present the workings in a way that’s understandable, hats off to you guys!Great work, Amazing job video team, I suppose Daniel did ok too 😉
What a video daniel mate. who ever in your team that put that together should be proud of themselves. I could watch your channel everyday if i could
I have to say I was blown away with the commentary and video. One of the best explained videos so far well done brother so proud of you.
That was absolutely brilliant
Brilliant video and very educational too
First class, well done everyone involved.
Proper quality documentary with excellent story telling.
Okay, next video: can we see how your LH60 was designed built and supplied through dealership and ends up unloading aggregate at Ashville. Same for Scania or Volvo.
We've often seen tours of factories but it would be great to see from concept to end use at the personal level of Asheville.
Another great video Daniel and the Ashvile team.
I love a suprise 'Stand alone vid'😊
Fascinating
The cinematographic quality of this video is stunning! And extremely instructive, as always with Ashville! :D
Amazing!
Daniel, you are a Rock Star.
Great Work Daniel!
Daniel & Team. I think you can now say you’ve finally made it at this CZcams malarkey. This video was mentioned in Tom Scott’s weekly newsletter of interesting things!
Great video and better than most of the stuff on TV today where they skip out the interesting details.
A video on your video production may be cool, all the animations ect set your videos apart, very high quality and help to tell a story, top stuff dan and the team.
Omg Daniel.. you have really excelled on this production.. i cant believe the quantity 💯
Quality video once again.. well done Ashville 👏
I don't know why I enjoyed that so much but I did, thanks dan
Been lucky to have visited Glensander. One hell of a quarry but worth the trek to get there.
Dope!!
All these conveyor belts is reminiscent of Let's Game It Out and Josh's abuses of Satisfactory.
Wow perfect video. Waiting for more love it 😀
Enjoyed that, live and learn.
Great mini documentary! We thoroughly enjoyed this in my household.
🙏 Thanks for watching
Fascinating. So much hidden technology and processes that you would never think about.

Absolutely fantastic stand alone video Daniel. As a loyal fan of Ashville weekly the detaii and precision iof the content in this video is perfect, extremely well done Daniel.
You engaged me on a topic I never thought Id ever care about 😂 great video
Amazing to see Glensanda up close. I've looked at it across the bay from Duart and Lismore and top down on Google Maps, but never known what buildings are what or fully what's going on behind the hill. Absolutely brilliant.
This video is amazing
Freddy and the boys had an amazing time in the editor’s room
Watching it for the 3rd time, as always, the script and delivery is fantastic. The details are top notch
Mind blowing thank you.
