I was correct in the first one so I stopped watching. I'm as good as Chris paul, this has been my ted talk.
I want to like this comment, but it's currently at 69 likes...so...
Hey I'm in the same boat as you! I think im gonna do the same
This made me laugh 😂😂😂
😂😂
Lool
i got basically all of them right, but we see the entire floor when chris paul only has his eyesight
Also we get a paused image of the floor while Chris Paul has to decide straight away
I think its probably easier to read it in Chris Paul’s eyesight.. from this side angle you cant really tell how far some guys are. Like that first play it looks like Embiid was sagging off to play the lob but i cant see how far back he is
@@kobe5704501932 true true, we can see different things based on angles and since cp3 is really used to these situations he can notice little things quickly and make the play
@@kobe5704501932 for embiid I think it’s more about his eyes than his position. Had he been focusing on the cutter he would’ve switched with Simmons somehow and stop the play from happening, but it was kind of Simmons fault tho
@@kobe5704501932 but Chris Paul has to make decisions on the spot at the same time, you do have a point though
Make more vids like this there so fun and everyone’s IQ gets better
facts
U should make more vids like that. Helps so much and is just fun to watch.

!!!!
agreed
FACTS
If you’ve heard of coach Daniel, he started doing this kind of video and has a few on Luka, Dame Lámelo ball and people like that
I don’t feel like there’s a “right” or “wrong” answer to these most of the time. Sometimes there’s more than one viable option
most of these have the "most viable option" in my opinion though
4:10 here i personally would have passed it. why? i ain‘t a good mid range shooter and 3 points are more than 2. But in this case, with CP3, it‘s the right answer to take the jumpshot
@@dreni9009 exactly my point. Honestly I still think as good a mid range shooter as CP3 is, the pass is the better play. His shot is good, but the extra pass may be better
@@steggyweggy Chris Paul is an elite mid range shooter. So WHO are you passing it to for a 3 point shot?
It would be sick if videos like this could be made from the player's point of view so you could see what they see.
Glad you did one on CP3 his IQ is out of this world, especially for someone his height
Edit: I mentioned height because obviously when your taller it's easier for you to look over defenders and see more of the court and pull off more passes. But for him to be as small as he is but still able to do the stuff that he does is way more impressive than someone like Jokic ( though hes crazy). Height alone doesnt affect IQ but how he can use it in games does, (sorry I had to explain myself lol)
That doesn’t make sense. If he’s shorter shouldn’t he have a much higher basketball IQ than if he was taller??
@@isakmaaan0326 I think he is saying its very important for him like it’s very important for a tall person to have a post game
Albert Einstein was 5'2 he was smarter than any NBA player
Basketball IQ has absolutely zero relevance or correlation to height.... don't understand what you meant there🤷🏾♂️
@@isakmaaan0326 height has zero correlation with knowing the game tf are y’all saying
These videos right here are so helpful. Don't stop my man.

Love these videos! Please keep doing these!!!!
6/7 CP3 is one of my favorite players of all time because of his IQ
Same. 6/7 couldn't get the transition 4secs play right. That was really an unexpected lob to Noel.
@@remzonfelix me too
Video is freaking insane man I love it MORE VIDS LIKE THIS PLEASE !
Great Video! Look forward to more!
Love these questions. Not hard to answer right at all but still increases game sence
Subbed...such a great concept for a video. Please make more!
Finals stressing me out but this channel came in clutch >:)
This is so good I got all of them right but please do more of those
Need some more of these!
The concept is cool but in reality a lot of it isn’t so much what he should do but what he does and an answer can only really be said depending on his teammates move.
Great video! I got one wrong, and I loved how you explained all the options.
Just wondering, was this inspired from Coach Daniel's channel? He's got great basketball content, and also has these similar "Can you read the game like ____" videos.
subbed off this video alone. great job!
these are the best videos please do these often
Great video. Totally think you should make more like it. Got only one wrong, but still awesome especially because CP3 is my favorite player
Goated vid you earned another subscriber
7/7 I honestly didn't predict getting the open response prediction so accurate! Helps a Bunch Thanks mane!
Love this video, I think this can help so many people improve their basketball IQ
Bro i really appreciate this video you should make more like that
These read vids are really good👍🏻
Let’s go, Coach! I got 5/7, and I plan on learning from the decisions that Chris Paul made. Please continue these videos, they are awesome and teach a lot. (Maybe Steve Nash next??)
YES
6/7
Definitely have more coming!
@@VisionDrivenBasketball Let’s go!!! Can’t wait for them!
That’s awesome bro please please make more of these
We need another and this actually challenged me ngl but then again this gonna help me and it’s my first year playing basketball
hey man, great video, where did you take those clips, where you can see the games?
thanks!! more of this please
This video was good man.For all pg's this is what seperates Chris Paul and gives him the ability to make best decisions. If you r a pg u know how important this is
this was rlly good to watch considering imma PG and went thru every scenario choosing the best option then choose the second best. In-Game your not going to be able to just sit there and think so this vid gave a good idea how to read the game.
This is one of your best videos!
Great content!!💯🔥🐐
great vid had to subscribe!
2:18 When you accidentally pressed steal instead of block
Great video, definitely made my IQ much better. Make more like this
This was dope!
I am a huge basketball fan. Your channel looks great
Love these
Had to subscribe after that video!
LOVE THE VIDEO IDEA
Great video. Please more of that.
This is a brilliant YT video 🔥🔥🔥
Got 2 wrong. First one was the lob play at the beginning. Thought CP had space there to pull up but the lob was definitely the right read. The second play I got wrong (sorta) was the split play against the Magic. My end goal was to get the ball to the guy in the right corner cutting towards the basket. But I was thinking that if Gallo slips, CP could thread a pass there (although Gallo is more of a pop guy). From there Gallo would attack the paint and that would be a 2 on 1 situation against Vucevic.
Great video!!
Great video!
Nice vid again coach ethan 🥵🔥
I got those all right!!! Lol really cool video. Chris Paul is definitely one of the best points of all time
Love this!
Such a good video idea
I actually got them all right lol so glad he's on my team this year
This vid helped me a lot, but can you do one with Luca magic!
6/7 awesome video dude
Do more of these please
I love these vids
Coach can you do another one of these but with Shai-Gilgeous Alexander please and good video btw
This is great
6.5/7. On question 5, I picked to dot the corner and since you said it's not a bad option, I'm taking the half a point. Great video for us basketball purist.
Only reason I didn’t pick that pass is because I saw who was shooting and said “Yeah, he’s that open for a reason.” 😂
Aye I got em all! Fun video man
Should make more videos like this one bro
This is amazing basketball art
Pretty cool video. One love fam
Got all of them right. Lots of these are just based on feel of the game and how you manipulate the defender to do what you want. Once you play enough you get the hang of it.
Point God for a reason!
5/7- love the video idea
Fire video
I got one wrong (it was rockets vs jazz where CP3 opted for the jumper instead of passing to the open wing shooter). I felt like both the open shooter and the jumper were viable options but they made the basket which is what matters. It's also worth noting that though I got a lot right those reads are for sure mush harder to make in game.
I think when we can see the whole floor layed out and everyone at the same time it's exponentially harder, this helps because making decisions on the fly in a game in 1st person is hard to learn from, and stuff like this helps to put it into perspective for people to learn from. Learn from the mistakes of others not just your own.
Good point!
Great video
Got everything just not the orlando one
Great video
i got 1,5,7 i thought i was a good basketball player before this but i have relized that my reads arent always right and could use some improvement. Thanks Fire vid idea
This really does a lot for basketball iq thanks for this video
Got them all but the one with the defender behind him , it’s fun being a natural pg and seeing what they see 😬🙂
Amazing vídeo Bro and btw on that last possession couldnt cp3 just attack the rim through his left side and attract both his defender and the defender of his teammate Which would get an open look in the corner?
He's already doing his move when you pause it and ask lol
This helped me appreciate Chris Paul so much more 😀
We need another one but with Kyrie Irving ! Please !
kyrie got zero passing IQ
We definitely need A kyrie video
@@angrycloudofdogfood7128 it’s not about passing it’s about his IQ and thinking when he’s doing all those dribble moves to get to the basket or pull up.
@@angrycloudofdogfood7128 got 200 scoring IQ doe

MOREEEEE!!!!
Keep doing thesseeee
Great video, one of curry off ball movement would be great
I got 6 out of 7. Great Video💯🔥
Yes
Thanks For the video i enjoyed it! Just one suggestion- for the first time you show the play, show it in real time for us to get a better feel for what's happening on the court rather than showing it in slow motion. Thank you!
I think the common factor/ principle in each of these situations is that Chris Paul would do a move so that he (and the ball) would move to the direction that is opposite to the direction of his defenders momentum, making it impossible for them to recover.
In the first one, I initially thought it would be correct to stop and pop that mid range. But Simmons and Embiid, albeit standing, might just have enough length & athleticism to pressure the jumper. With the above principle in mind, since it would be harder for both Simmons and Embiid to turn around and contest the cutter, a lob would be a good choice.
For the situation at 4:16, Ingles does not have the speed to recover after the bump, allowing Chris to just get to his hotspot. Passing to the corner would just give time for #8 to contest the 3 as he was ready for it. Instead, pulling up in front of Capela would give Paul all the space he needed.
