      I think its probably easier to read it in Chris Paul’s eyesight.. from this side angle you cant really tell how far some guys are. Like that first play it looks like Embiid was sagging off to play the lob but i cant see how far back he is

    Glad you did one on CP3 his IQ is out of this world, especially for someone his height
    Edit: I mentioned height because obviously when your taller it's easier for you to look over defenders and see more of the court and pull off more passes. But for him to be as small as he is but still able to do the stuff that he does is way more impressive than someone like Jokic ( though hes crazy). Height alone doesnt affect IQ but how he can use it in games does, (sorry I had to explain myself lol)

    Got 2 wrong. First one was the lob play at the beginning. Thought CP had space there to pull up but the lob was definitely the right read. The second play I got wrong (sorta) was the split play against the Magic. My end goal was to get the ball to the guy in the right corner cutting towards the basket. But I was thinking that if Gallo slips, CP could thread a pass there (although Gallo is more of a pop guy). From there Gallo would attack the paint and that would be a 2 on 1 situation against Vucevic.

  • @TopRedditStoryPage

    I think when we can see the whole floor layed out and everyone at the same time it's exponentially harder, this helps because making decisions on the fly in a game in 1st person is hard to learn from, and stuff like this helps to put it into perspective for people to learn from. Learn from the mistakes of others not just your own.

  • @eclasseclass
    @eclasseclass Před 2 lety

    I think the common factor/ principle in each of these situations is that Chris Paul would do a move so that he (and the ball) would move to the direction that is opposite to the direction of his defenders momentum, making it impossible for them to recover.
    In the first one, I initially thought it would be correct to stop and pop that mid range. But Simmons and Embiid, albeit standing, might just have enough length & athleticism to pressure the jumper. With the above principle in mind, since it would be harder for both Simmons and Embiid to turn around and contest the cutter, a lob would be a good choice.
    For the situation at 4:16, Ingles does not have the speed to recover after the bump, allowing Chris to just get to his hotspot. Passing to the corner would just give time for #8 to contest the 3 as he was ready for it. Instead, pulling up in front of Capela would give Paul all the space he needed.
