    • @microfoneman
      @microfoneman Před 4 lety +18

      I don't doubt their raw talent, but like he said, hooping is the greatest teacher, so a lot of it becomes instinct after doing it a thousand times. Like driving, you don't think through every step now, press the clutch in now, take it out slowly etc. You just know. Pick n rolls are like that. If the defender goes under, make him pay with a shot. If he goes over, keep him in jail and work the mismatch / 2 on 1. Do that a thousand times and you start to not think about it anymore. Then your mind can go to the weak/strong side help defender.
      Cp3 does have a brilliant mind, no doubt, but I think a lot of it is practice.

    And a kid who is average size, the number one player he needs to watch is Chris Paul. I don’t have to be super athletic, I don’t have to be jumping out of the gym or have to be the quickest person on the court. Just Work hard, practice the mid range, get your handles the best you can and learn angles and spacing.

    Relly great that cp3 is really thankful for byron scott lol...cant say the same for jr smith who had limited potential and just needed that extra push...george karl continued that theme and jr has forever been a role player with the potential to be the best player any given night

    cp3 can flourish in that okc type of environment where there is no obvious superstars just a group of guys that will work hard for eachother cp3 can decide and others put up their hand and just get people touches
