Yo true
Love how you don't limit the videos to nba only
It's great to see other situations and how different players with different builds react to stuff we'd normally see a regular nba player relying only on athleticism
1000%! NBA isn’t applicable for many people tbh
@@ByAnyMeansBasketball i feel like international film studies translate the best for most people, since thats the ideal playstyle for most coaches that arent at a pro or even college level
nba still better
@LeLegoat 15 years ago maybe, today's game is cheeks
@@jasonpierce2024its not cheeks its just become lazy and people just rely on build power and athleticism
Will you be doing a series like this for every position (after finishing the point guard series)?
This is helpful as a guard but I also want to know my personnel’s tendencies and what they’re expected to do, as I believe that would take my IQ to the next level. 🙏
Agreed.
Hes likely to be doing this a series for every position
We gotta stay tuned
this is the gem we’ve all been waiting for
I've been really struggling with my court vision and its my main weakness. Your video really helped. Thanks!
Bro just saved my career😃
thanks, a lot I need this video because I'm switching from center to point guard for high school next year. I'm 6 foot 1 and people at my junior high see me as a big man
Been waiting on this.
Wow. Dude your content is SO helpful! Thank you for breaking down some of these patterns
Absolutely!! Glad it helps
@@ByAnyMeansBasketballCan you please do other positions after this? Sg, Sf, Pf, and center. Then again a pf could be a point foward. sf could be a wing or a lock.
Really dropping gems, incredibly good stuff !!
Thank you bro!!
I need to learn how to spot hockey assists more, I can make quick home run reads pretty consistently but often times I stall out advantages because they aren't completely open on the first beat.
I cannot wait for this knowledge that I am about to recieve
Can't wait for part 2
needed this
His videos are so helpful
You have got to be one of the best coach
Thanks for the video 🔥
Best channel on CZcams
Thanks for the tips
Watched this video when it dropped . Recently had a terrible game as PG and immediately came to rewatch. The first the thing Cole said was my biggest mistake
7:15 Great play
Can you make training or a workout surrounding this kind of stuff surrounding because I am indecisive sometimes of what to do sometimes
Love how you showd arturs zagars from latvia. Hes a true pg
He’s amazing!
00:01 Basketball IQ is crucial for players, especially point guards.
01:34 Factors to consider for transition play
03:03 Pace is not just about speed, but also about composure and timing.
04:27 Understanding each situation is key to high basketball IQ.
05:58 Reading the defender coming off ball screens is crucial
07:32 Shift mindset to value hockey assists and creating advantages.
09:03 Expanding passing options and attacking strategies across the court.
10:48 Understanding your teammates' strengths and weaknesses is crucial for a point guard.
Not sure Teodosic is a great example for basketball IQ. His passing skills are undeniable and his reads have indeed gotten better in the latter part of his career, but for a great period of time he was notorious for not understanding momentum and pace, and also making hot-headed decisions in crucial moments.
2012 Euroleague final is the prime example, CSKA were +13 at the end of Q3 and Olympiacos managed to snatch it at the buzzer, Teodosic making ill-advised choices all the way (3 AST/5 TOs).
2013 Euroleague semi final, he goes 1/9 from the field, 1 AST in 29 minutes.
2015 Euroleague semi final, again they squander a late +9 lead to Olympiacos, Teodosic goes 2/9 FG, 6 TOs.
He has routinely been the PG you don't want to have run your team.
Can you break down Pat bevs defense I need a 12 minute video
Man, warms my heart to see Crvena Zvezda being literally a half of the video 😂😂😂
🙌🙌🙌🙌love it
what would you say is the most important skill to work on as a 15 yr old pg looking to play overseas?

nice
I need to play for an actual team🤦🏾♂️ I play a lot of pickup 4s and it’s nothing but teammates sitting on the 3 pt line👎🏽as a shooter, that’s literally throwing off my rhythm
nah fr 😂 nobody cutting it’s got to the point where someone sets me a screen and doesn’t even cut to the basket
Low skill but ur best chance is honestly finding a church with a basketball court and playing with those guys. Church hoopers play basketball and not just pick up street ball
YESS
I had a hard time understanding the terminology used... Any tips on that?
like what specific word?
@@chadalferez Words like 'kickout' or 'cut'... etc.
I know what these words mean now, but there are plenty of other basketball terms that went over my head because you see I'm still kinda new to the basketball world
how do i study this and apply it to my game?
Try new things while u play. Only way to do is to do it
Do pg stuffs, in picked up game.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
thank the heavens above me for making me click on thid video

If you noticed any nba point guard, they are known for (play calling). These russian nba players are quick. A nba point guard plays are: (pick & roll), (screen), (fake move), and (control). An example of an nba control, is similar to an nfl quarterback (slide/dive/spike) in game. The control move is used in the nba, like going out of bounds and losing control of the ball. A nba point guard makes plays! reply
