Not only was the app military spyware that stole information and hacked into people's phones.. but the app was designed to be harmful to the west while giving China an edge.. it convinced American children to hate their country or their gender. It was basically Chinese digital fentanol for the West. Other countries around the world are banning it for similar reasons.

If we had the right people to do it, they could create an even better social media site here in the US. To be honest we need some healthy competition to TikTok, Twitter (X), and especially instagram and facebook.
Your guest is wrong to state that China bans US apps. The US apps that are not in China are those who decided not to abide the Chinese censorship law. If they abide the Chinese censorship law they are allowed in China. For example, Google was allowed in China until Google volunteered to leave China.
