Milwaukee's idea of thinking KD can't beat them by himself wasn't bad, the problem was that the Nets already won 2 games before game 5. He didn't have to win a 7 game series by himself, he only had to win 2 games, which he was very capable of doing.
Edit: Because so many people are crying saying 'but he didn't', yes, all I was saying is that he came very close, and they were one little miscalculation away from losing.

You didn’t hear anyone discredit the Raptors championship?
What were you living under a rock in 2019? People were discrediting them significantly more than the Bucks now. You couldn’t even mention Toronto without someone mentioning how it was a fake ring, how the healthy Warriors would have swept them, how they just got lucky in Game 7 against Philly, and the next year without Kawhi absolutely nobody was giving them a chance in the playoffs despite them being the second or third best record in the league and still having 90% of their championship core intact. Even when they were a game away from the conference finals and the Bucks were already eliminated people still weren’t giving them a chance.
This year most of the league has collectively agreed Giannis is a beast and the Bucks are at minimum a top 3 most likely team to win the championship. Yes people were putting asterisks on their title right after it happened but most of that went away by the time the season got under way. The Raptors had to deal with that slander and people not giving them credit more so and for a longer period of time than the Bucks have.

That's what I am saying! Respect to KD for wanting to stay on the floor, but Nash has to put on his big boy pants and make him sit. Nets fans keep saying "if we were healthy.." Man, you had the Slim Reaper, a few healthy former all-stars (Griffin and Jordan), and some decent role players who did well during the regular season when the big were either injured or just not interested in playing. You just need KD to have something left at the end of the game.

Gotta respect the Kobe hype. Nowadays there are some talk shows (*coughs, the odd couple) that try to make jabs at the "inefficiency" or any negative aspect of Kobe's game whenever he's brought up as one of the greats. Seemingly forgetting how relentless and skilled the man was. To this day, I haven't seen a player with better footwork or complete finishing ability as Kobe. I've seen the guy get multiple defenders in the air after faking shot attempts, spin around when the defenders are still up and complete a turnaround layup, dunk or jump shot. It was crazy. JJ is right. You can't guard him successfully. KD is this era of tough to guard player.
