The Best Green Chile Pork Stew (Chile Verde)

- This is some incredible Chile Verde just like my mom used to make it. Some folks don't like tomatoes in it but this is how mom did it and it's awesome. So sit back relax and enjoy. Thanks for watching.

3lbs blade in pork chops or pork butt
1 16oz jar of Hatch 505 green Chile's (link below)
1 pint chicken stock
1 med onion chopped
4 cloves finely chopped garlic
1 large can green tomato (fire roasted)
4 med potatoes cubed
Salt and Pepper to taste

Green Chili Stew with Pork is my absolute favorite (never heard it as Chili Verde, at least where I got it)... I know this is gonna sound weird... but there was a "buffet" type restaurant around that my family would go to when my daddy wanted to do something special and go out to eat (we didn't eat out often), so we went there... That was the best stew and I got it every single time and it was made with those same ingredients as you're using (the 'maters, 'taters etc...), ... over the years, it seems the quality of the food went down, but it never went down on that stew... I don't see any more of those around here anymore so don't even know if they're still in business, but the memories of those very special meals together with my family growing up remain in my heart forever! This looks so good Mr Mike... I definitely added it to my favorites and gonna try it..
