not really dude, quantum computers are really a different kind of technology, you cant but this into a desktop pc ^^ this is just not possible at all

more like the 50s if were talking in linear scaling. if 50qbits = 50 bits that is an astronomically tiny amount of data. 64mb = 64 million bytes. I don't think bits are even bytes.
History is repeating ... In 50s, IBM was making big mainframe housed in a big room. 60 years later, IBM is now making another revolutionary quantum computer housed in a big room again. 60 years from now, we will have this technology in our daily life. I love to see it myself but .... am I still alive ? lol
And there will be another technology the size of a room :)
Since quantum computers require sub-kelvin temperatures it might never be made small. But a phone in our pocket can rent quantum computer resources in the cloud. Problem solved.

I felt like, at a certain point, it resembled the sounds all the machines make when someone is on life support. Perhaps there is "someone" on life support there, in a way.

Reminds me of my fairly recent MRI scans with sounds similar to that of a helium pump.
IBM ought to hire a world-renowned composer to transform these sounds into an avant-garde musical work of art. It's high time that scientific achievements like this be honored in music. Perhaps Quantum Computing will find applications in musical composition someday. Can you imagine a new "quantum" musical instrument making sounds yet unheard?
