I've been a Skillet fan since Alien Youth in 01'... I first heard them via the Christian Rock genre back when it was still my religion etc...over 15 years later and I'm still a fan regardless of a change of beliefs because there's something real about their music that surpasses religion. Incredible band. My friend told me a story of getting to go backstage at one of their concerts and in a a quiet area he heard what sounded like prayer going on behind a closed door. When the door finally opened it was Skillet band members living out their faith not by shoving it down people's throats but by going to a quiet place and honoring God. They could easily sacrifice God and be huge rock stars but that isn't important to them. If you are really struggling, cry out to God and listen to "The Last Night" by Skillet and know you are NOT alone.
The drummer, Jen Ledger, just recently released a solo album titled "Ledger" you should try it out, shes very good! I suggest either Warrior or Not Dead Yet!
I listened to this song immediately after the Army recruiters turned down my enlistment. It got me right back into the right mood and soon after I started working with the Navy. Now, I just finished my MEPS exam and prospects are good!

It's about a guy regretting an abortion that he and his lady chose to have, and the baby they never had.
