I always see people hating on Base after Base, but I love it. I see it as the accumilative quiz before taking the test. It's the level that checks if you remember everything you learned in an easier format, before Can't Let Go takes everything and makes it harder. It prepares you for the difficulty spike by giving you a gentle refresher. Plus I really like the music, and being able to beat this one so quickly a long time ago made me feel good, and kept my confidence while struggling with Can't Let Go. I think the level is underrated.

Quick note for base after base and cant let go; I think those levels are for test and memory skill, it’s testing how much you learned from back on track, polargeist, and dry out via the jump pads, jump rings/orbs, and the upside down mechanic all combined in 1 level which is base after base and cant let go.

theory of everything 2 is my favorite robtop level because of how climactic it feels. It flows really well with the song and I like how it sort of introduced break parts (the part around 70%) to later transition and build up into an intense part at the end. the way the level is formatted and how epic the song is makes the level feel very ultimate, and i love it for that

In my opinion polargeist was the best one.
The music, the intensity and the feeling after getting the 3rd coin.
Also it's REALLY fun to replay. My favorite part is the part right before the ship section where it syncs spectacularly with the music.
When I got it 2 coins getting that last coin and losing like 5 time was probably my experience of hell
@@Your.pal.panini It's literally just a few clicks lol
Honestly it's the bare minimum of sync tbh. Stuff like that should have been integrated into EVERY section in EVERY official level. It's honestly reeeeally weird how much music is meant to play a part in GD, only for the sync in the official levels to be so questionable most of the time (imo)
Edit: just checked it, the sync in that part is not that good imo
@@TelPhi_ i know it isn't the best level on planet earth, and it may not sync the best, but it's just incredibly fun to play. It's just the way the music combines with the gameplay, having fun moments when the music spikes, and (at least trying) to have moments where the music goes with the gameplay (again that part in the beginning that i mentioned 11 months ago💀)
The one major problem I had with this is the rating of blast processing because one of the reasons was it didn’t provide a challenge but you have to understand the blast processing is rated the same difficulty as time machine, it’s an introduction level not a challenge like clubstep, clutterfunk, or electrodynamix

Eric completely forgets that Rob takes inspiration from the community, so when initial gameplay of something is "boring", that's because it's the first time it's being used. Also, it has to be easy, as it's introducing a new mechanic.

Not gonna lie, I don't like how Eric judges based on "Easy = Bad"
Sometimes things can be easy, not all players are demon slayers, some just want to do the main levels, so they're not gonna be that good at the game. The main levels will be challenging to newer players, even if most people think they're insanely easy.
We're used to insane gameplay, but new players will still think "Oh my god hitting orbs is so cool" even if it's basic as hell in reality.
I agree to this. I mean all levels don't have to be completely hard and have no place to chill and have fun. I like blast processing and x step because they are not too hard and I had fun beating them. Other levels I beat like hexagon force were just hard and not too much fun.
He literally put back on track as A tier
@@botelladeaguamediollena4885 I meant in the later levels, plus BoT is hard for modern easy level standards
He says blast processing, for example, is lower because of how simple the gameplay is, when imo, it's one of the more fun levels, it looks great, the song absolutely slaps, and it's overall enjoyable. Yeah it's a 1 attempt guarantee just like Electroman, but whatever
Yeah, but the easier levels don't have as much variety, partially because they were released earlier. Also, the easier levels don't have tons of gameplay mechanics harder levels can afford to have. Ir's just that for him, he knows that easier levels are not the limit.

Idk about everyone else but I love Time Machine. The song and gameplay are just so fun for me and the difficulty was so refreshing to me considering how easy the ones before feel.
Geometrical dominator is a really good level for the visuals, it is the first level I was stunned by how it looked. Pretty good song and has some fun moments.
I agree. In my opinion, the best part of geometrical dominator has got to be the dark room where the platforms flash and randomly appear. Most people say it requires memorisation but there's actually stars that guide you through the dark room. They appear at the next jump for a milisecond. Overall, the dark room and whole of geometrical dominator should be S tier 100℅. The looks, obstacle movements and banger music is just too good. It may require some fast reaction though.
@@Agitato658 The stars appear so late that they give no time to react lol wdym? There's a reason why everybody says it requires memorisation.
It's a good idea, but RobTop had NO reason to make them appear so damn late. It renders them USELESS as a mechanic to help you proceed in that part without memorizing anything. They're basically just decorative at that point.
I agree with Deadlocked waves being the hardest part. Part of the reason why i didn't like it or any other Deadlocked demons. The 1st wave always eats most of my atts up and then i have to go through the beginning which is boring
i developed a click pattern for the first wave which made it very consistent and easy and it made the level a lot more enjoyable
When 2.0 came out I was strictly a mobile player at the time and I can confirm that 90% of my attempts ended at the first wave section because of how hard it is to spam on a phone
@@gdhayze5793 it’s actually not that hard, it’s kinda the same method as pc

I love how I’m buffing a rob top level (hexagon force) while watching this
Electrodynamix > clutterfunk
There’s a reason I beat one first instead of the other even though the one I beat first is way harder
one of the things that i think makes the robtop levels good is that for the most part, someone new playing through them in order (apart from the demons) has a very visible linear progression of skill with each level they beat, because they introduce the concepts decently. good video!
going from jumper to time machine is a big jump, xstep to clutterfunk is a big jump then the 2 levels after clutterfunk are easy, and then electroman adventures to electrodynamix is ridiculous. i completed fingerdash before cant let go

The Deadlocked slander in this video/comments is wild.
It's so satisfying when you start stringing the tougher sections together and the gameplay in between them is easy enough to where you can get to the hard parts often but still fast enough to where it's engaging throughout the entire level.
10/10 chef's kiss
That's what I'm saying I personally think deadlocked is the best RobTop demon even tho I struggled with it for the longest time it was fun getting better at the stage over the years and finally getting past that first wave section. Electrodynamix is S for me. The first ship and ufo are fun. Even though the middle is boring, it gives a good break which is helpful before you go into some of the hardest but funnest ship sections out of the RobTop levels.
The ship sections are so easy. Only the last one is kinda hard. There's like 5 levels with harder ship parts
@@fluffykitty7480 The only RopTop levels with harder ship sections are the demons imo. You could maybe make an argument for the dual ship at the end of hexagon force but even that is easy if you focus on one of the ships. The third ship part is way tighter than the final ship part.
@@Doctor.Trolling I think Clutterfunk, Clubstep, ToE 2, Deadlocked and maybe even Time Machine have harder ship parts. The Ship parts in Electrodynamix were hard to sight read at first but because they were fast and you were a mini ship, I caught on pretty fast...even as a mobile player back then.
@@Doctor.Trolling and the third ship part is basically just Hold and release like 2x. It also syncs to the music pretty well, which made it even easier.
@@fluffykitty7480 It’s still much tighter than both the second and fourth ships. The fourth ship is easy because there spots that don’t even have spikes so you can just slide on them. I remember when I was younger can’t let go gave me the first true challenge and I will forever give it more respect than base after base bcuz of that.
"Why not say base after base is a copy of clg?
All of them were released simultaneously and cant let go is a better version of base after base"

He said that there’s no fake jump orbs in Plorgaist but it is actually one fake in the level at the start😂
The fact that he beat deadlocked in 1 attempt but failed Hexagon force is hilarious
I feel like Eric needs to rate v2 versions of robtop levels as well, quite a few of them are great
I think polargeist is actually meant to be used to lure new players into a false sense of security, being so easy that many new players will think that the next level will be easy, which it isnt
The next level is easy tho, no way u struggle on dry out
@@LukeGGWP I did my first time playing so I guess I’m just a slow learner
Polargeist was really difficult for me at the beginning
I think base after base is there as way for new players to feel like they're good at it
The music in cant let go wants to make me rip my ears of and make them bleed 69 gallons of blood and never get new ears again.
The last dual in hexagon force is so good in my opinion, its what taught me to keep control of the ship. Cuz if you hold or let go for just a little to long ur ded
Finally someone respects can't let go, it was the first level with more trippy places, orbs that you cannot hit and everything in the level just goes quite fast and the song is really good either
May be good, but I don't like the way robtop moved the blocks and spikes.
wasn’t there a part in polargeist where you can’t hit an orb?
Edit: there indeed is
@@slyveonnumeros bro they don’t make the levels for you
@@Garage_Distinct_Clips you don't fell agony about the stuff on the air? The last jump were the blocks are DEFINITELY not connected. Just look. Well, that last jump I think it's fixed on the life version, but the original...

I really like Xstep, the music and music sync is pretty good and I love how it introduces real fakes as in fake walls and also introduces a super important game mechanic, blue jump pads and orbs, The best part in the level is the part after the 2nd ship with all the fake floors and fake pads and just it’s trippy gameplay for the first time is so good
