Shelly-Ann IS 14 years older than Sha'carri. That's a fact. When she won her first gold medal, Sha'carri was 8 years old. Now Shelly-Ann is doing a darn good job keeping up with this new crop of sprinters. Major props to her!

Im truly proud of her. She lost her mother at such a young age, the whole world was against her INCLUDING her own damn teammates, they critized and ridicule her(except for the jamaican sprint queens since they just mind their own business) and she decided to settle down and started to train hard and it payed off. Congrats shaccari and i believe you can break the WR. Shelly could do it IF she was a bit younger and shericka can too but the biggest chance is this young woman right her. Love you girl. She wasnt being sarcastic when mentioning that she grew up watching Shelly-Ann compete, its just a fact that shes at least 14 years Sha'Carri's senior and she wasnt throwing shade of any sort, she was actually giving Shelly-Ann her props and flowers by saying shes still competing and showing up at every podium. LOVED how she corrected the reporter with the pronunciation of her name and she was polite and firm in correcting him. A person tries to diminish you by pronouncing your name incorrectly . Basically she was saying: you may not like me but my NAME will be said with respect and CORRECTLY.
