You are not a good one apparently. He is overtly diplomatic. He is a writer and director. He doesn't have to believe what he says to say it with conviction. And he might have done it for most of his life, so that becomes second nature. During the first half he says never had an issue with nana patekar, 30 mins later says they didn't speak for 2 months over some issue. And this is when his guard is up. When you ll get him in a relaxed safe setting, he probably won't be this politically correct.

The craze of welcome & sing is king was unheard of for any film at that time.i have never seen pre release hype of any film as it was of welcome & sing is king. Apart from Priyadarshan one man had a huge role in Akshay Kumar’s legendary phase in mid 2000’s it was Anees Baazme. He has directed such such cult films but is still so underrated.

Anees Bazmee’s comic setup is excellent. Very few directors have been able to get the situational comedy right. His script hasn’t been great but screenplay is spotless. This goes to show that you don’t necessarily have to a great script to make an entertaining film. His good writing sense and grip on the whole film.
