Car Audio Fabrication - Master Car Audio - Design, Build, Install - Auta a dopravní prostředky
This is one of the highest quality fit and finish builds that I have seen in a very long time. Reminds me of some of the big manufacturers build cars from the 90’s when they did the interiors like show cars.
Damn that is such a beautiful install. This take me back 20+ years when it seemed like there was more of a focus on unique and crafty builds. Now it’s just a focus on loud. 15s, 10k amps, 40 runs of 0gauge wire, ect. It’s fun. I like loud but this stuff is so much more interesting to me
these types of installs were what got me hooked into car audio. so clean and unique having the rear deck be part of the tuning
Sage is such a beast....his fabrication is always on point
Man these are the type of installs I would drool over as a teenager looking thru car audio magazines back in the day. I love'em versus the SPL monster builds. It's been years since I've heard a Mosconi setup. And that was my first time ever hearing of them and I wasn't disappointed either. This car is a real sleeper. A kick a$$ sound system with a 650HP beast under the hood! 🤤🤤 They were smart with using the wagon with this setup.
Yeah, when they told me about the motor is was amazed, car is awesome in every way. Did you enjoy this video format of build review?
@CarAudioFabrication
Yes I did enjoy it. As a matter of fact I was cooking breakfast and fixing my coffee while watching it. LOL! So I had to skip back a couple of times. 😆
I found sounds good stereo CZcams channel for the first time just a couple weeks ago and have been binge-watching.. I really dig the quality and craftsmanship. I'm surprised I never saw their channel before
That is the cleanest stock looking build ever....
That was absolutely beautiful.
That's beautiful, nice show car.
Sage is awesome, doesn't talk much lol but his work speaks for him. Great job Sage
Huge bonus points for being stick shift and 600+ HP! Very impressive.
Great to see Gladen getting some love
BEAUTIFUL install. It must've sounded great, s good that it transformed him into Fernando for a quick moment!!
Hahah the power of video editing. It was very enjoyable to listen to.
Always been a fan of Sage and Sounds Good Stereo, quality work and cool folks.
sage is the man. he did my car back when he was in miami and it was amazing. best install and best sounding car i've ever owned.
the mosconi pro stuff is really nice, work with a lot of it and morel out here on the west coast as a system tuner, this build really seems like something i'd enjoy, something different and well planned vs a crazy box sitting in the back of a vehicle to be loud
He has some amazing taste in that car, down to the inside of the dash
One hell of a build, lot of nice subtle mods on that wagon, and a hell of an install!
clean install!reminds me of iasca sq installs from the early 90's but with more bass.
I can drive directly to gladen mosconi its in my country. About 500km away from me 😊
Greetings from germany
Hey Mark, didn't know you knew Fernando! Another great video, with a great install!
This is a modern classic install pretty cool 😎
I’ve been 👁️ Mosconi…glad to see them sponsor
Super fun video, Mark!
Edit: oh dam, cameo from Fernando
Love those a pillars! We need a tutorial! 😝🙏🏻🙏🏻 the way the tweets integrate with the two different colours 😍😍
Right! That a nice small touch that brings your eye in!
Damn, that is a sexy install!
Bad ass install 💪🏻
Yeah , Mr Mark I agree one of my favorite installers in the country, nice!!!
Yes .. nice system.. I bet it sounds awesome..
Clean install. Sweet.
Sure is!
This gives me nostalgia. I had a 94 honda Accord 2-door.
Been waiting for you to do a build like this!
Just wanted to say thank you so much for your videos. Especially the ones geared to people like me with no knowledge of car audio before stumbling across your channel. I started watching your channel about a week ago to start my own build. With help from your channel, and crutchfields amazing custom service and support, I made my own system in my 24 year old truck. It sounds amazing and I couldn't be happier. Thank you for doing what you do.
Definitely considering turning my entire trunk into a 4th order or 6th order band pass.. The DJ Car needs to BUMP 🔊
wow totally clean and well built
oh i love this
wagon lifeee
fantastic I enjoyed the demo as well always a great build. Thanks for sharing
Funny to see a video of gladen/mosconi right now, as I've just recently started to get a thing for gladen😄 just bought 2x6.5 comp, a 4 channel and a cute little 8" SQX sub. Just need the monoblock and im complete
Very nice. I hope I win the lottery soon.
I miss my '96 Accord sedan so much
Man, I love my Mosconi Pro 5/30 amps and 8to12 Aerospace DSP😍 Now I have to see about replacing my RC Mini controllers with the Gladiator, glad they finally made something comparable to the Helix Conductor 😅
Forgot about the DSP 4to6 SP-DIF in my work truck “budget stereo” 😅
So basically with the hatch closed and causing the 2nd chamber to activate, can you feel or here the vented chambers port velocity
Nice clean install.
That S2000 steering wheel tho ;)
SOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!! That is the type of build I was "emulating" when I was 17 when I put 4 JL W0's in the back of my KIA Spectra hatchback!!! My friend and I both had W0's in our cars each running off "1500 watt" amps (I highly doubt they were running at their advertised wattage lol) his was an old Planet audio and mine was an old Orion...but when his car broke down, and since we both spent all our waking hours together, we took his system out of his Acura and we combined them into the Kia lmao....
well I can tell it was fun while it lasted.... about 0.3 seconds LMFAO!!! on the very first bass hit I shattered my hatchback window!!!! So it was an expensive little experiment, but it was fun... After sealing up the hatch with a sheet of plexi-glass and some plastic sheets and a LOT of duct tape it just didn't sound right for "SOME REASON" 🤪
Well after about a week of 'ghetto trunk' I got the glass replaced and we turned everything DOWN... A LOT!!! This way we avoided breaking any more cheapo glass and we didn't fry that little alternator, even with 2 massive caps the car wanted to die with the volume up over half way lol
It was a fun experiment... and I kept it set up in the Kia for about month... mainly because both of us were too lazy to pull it all back out lol..... But it REALLY made me respect the amount of preparation, knowledge, and effort that goes into these professional builds that are made so well that it just LOOKS EASY to do yourself...well..... IT. IS . NOT ! !!!!! lol
Watching you channel brings me back to a lot of memories of building systems for my friends and family and learning on the fly.. I wish I had videos of your expertise, but I don't even think youtube was around in 2000/2001 .. heck phones didn't even have on them like they do now... so I NEVER would have access to your knowledge back then... But I learn SO MUCH from you.. so THANK YOU!!! You make me feel young again lol :)
TBH I really don't remember exactly what the exact model of the subwoofers were... I can't remember.... we both bought 2 of them off of this guys that had 8 of them from his big setup in a van and they all matched....they were for sure 12" with DVC and I THINK we had them wired to run is 1ohm or maybe 0ohm....you could wire 2 of them together in series and I think it made the amp run with half the impedance as advertised and I think thats why I was sable to break the glass because they didn't sound like the same speakers as when had them with just one amp and 2 speakers in each car they sounded SUPER WIMPY and the amp didn't even seem to get warm,,,, so I'm pretty sure we were doing
Clean af
Very detailed... Mark never disappoints.
"BudgetBassHead" Lmao. None of this equipment would breach your interest considering the subs are 300 dollars and the amps are 1200.
Why wouldnt they thats the average price for good stuff@@DarthObscurity
@@DarthObscurity class AB is always a bit pricey. But it does sound amazing. Just reference some home audio stuff and you'll see. And yes my favorite 8 inch subs are around $300. But agreeably not affordable for most people.
The only reason the audio in this vehicle sounds amazing is due to vehicle prep and speaker location, not the actual equipment itself. Modern audio gear amongst all the name brands is excellent these days and with stock vehicles you'll never hear enough difference between the brands to matter. People typically just have a brand preference and that will never really change. But when it comes to really high end gear, unless you prep the vehicle thoroughly, do proper locations and setup and what not, all that expensive gear isn't going to sound any better. You can literally end up spending as much on vehicle prep as you do the gear.
Heck yeah. Long roof life.
Awesome build
Beautiful fab work 👌
Hey Marc, are you "properly" sponsored by Mosconi, or just for this video? Im currently rebuilding my system with Gladen components, and want a Mosconi DSP in the future. Hope to see more Mosconi and Gladen products on this channel 😊
Just a tip, AI generated songs cannot be copyrighted, and for the purposes of demos, sounds like something you'd hear on the radio.
@@ULTAMIT.An AI plaintiff....of course! Paid off via taxes through the humans...😅🤣😂
AI no bueno
C'mon there is nocopyright music on youtube, Vexento for example. It's also good quality.
Hey Fernando sighting!
Been a long time fan of 8’s and hatchbacks. Without a sunroof, the roofs on wagons and hatchbacks is one long piece of sheet metal that benefits from deadening. The level of customization is amazing 👍
love that Mosconi fan setup. how do you get your hands on those parts?
I think they actually took them from some existing amps. I believe Mosconi has the red ones specially made.
Yes, we sacrificed a few Mosconi amplifiers to make it happen... Warning, it will void your warranty, do not try at home :)
Even his voice has bass!
Wow you met Fernando👍👍👍 dean and fernando 5 star car sterio
awesome
Great build. Disappointed though u couldnt figure out a way to get more demo in. Thats what we all wanna see and hear. I think as a channel of your caliber youve gotta figure out a way to get demo as its a big part of the experience
Why is it so difficult to follow that you are not hearing the system though... you are hearing your phone / computer / headphones? It's irrelevant to play a demo. I do it from time to time, but it always feels so silly.
I agree with CAF, you see peopel doing these long demos and jamming and all you hear is distortion from bass or see stuff moving it is useless, to hear a demo you need to be there on video it is totally pointless+
Yeah, all these people posting videos of big bass system demo's just sound like garbage through CZcams, pointless. Just show the builds and focus on that aspect.
Because he's just trying to sell overpriced jl audio and other b******* Jakob viral post demos every single day cars flexing all to hell 😂
Is this the “I ain’t no dang tow truck” guy ???
You can Barely breathe he said ...lol
You said my name in all caps?! :P
Hi Sage. Hi Mark. I like your headlight retrofit. :)
Saw a van with 16 8in subs in the back at Slamology 2019!~
I had a 92 wagon back in the day with 2 alpine type e 10 inch sub with white faces which I still have the subs. But sold the car. The air space really made the subs hit. Car alarms, pictures falling off walls and pissing off neighborhood. Good times. I didn't have the knowledge for what all that tech is in the trunk of that car.
Then you woke up, right? Cause only in your dreams is that happening, they were only 250 watts each. No way those were setting off any alarms and absolutely not shaking any pictures off a wall. Now, you can still piss off the neighbors, so I'll give you that one.
@marcuslinton310 no they would rattle pictures off walls and setting off alarms. Air space and the way they are faced has alot to do with sound emitting and sound quality. Even in my truck shallow 10 type e rattled pictures of walls.
@@kylevinson7920 LMFAO! Sorry, not happening, but I bet it's fun to pretend, huh. Or maybe you were parked in the garage next to the living room and it shook the pic off that one wall? I could possibly believe that maybe. No F'n way 500 watts worth of 10" subs is going to do jack F'n squat to any alarms or neighbors pictures. Keep on dreaming!
@@marcuslinton310You must be a blast at parties.
now its got me wondering if i can cram a subwoofer up front somewhere to go with the ones in the back lol
Definitely not an easy task! But would be fun for sure
The Fernando cameo tho.....😂
The fernando cameo made my mind explode LOL. Love you and Five Star Car Audio both, yall are the kings of car audio!
I want to hear it😢
Id love four in my truck under the back seat.probably would need to add some more tweeters up front
Is it just me or does Sage sound like he's hopped up on some caffeine? I'm not sure I've ever seen him so animated. 😊
Yea, we might have added a few shots of espresso in his coffee :)
😂😂😂😂. Very cool guy Sage.
Phew... I was afraid some might think I was trolling on him instead of light teasing. I actually have a lot of respect for the guy and the work he does...
Also...
Nando for President!
Where's the 13th sub ? I tried to watch this video with no sound, so I have to ask ! Lol !! 😂
Where the heater core used to be in the front of the car.
In the dash up front
13th is in the dash
13th sub is in the dash
In the dash. It's more of a mid bass for the front stage. Front is kind of a four way that plays to sixty the the subs are sixty down.
Hi Mark, i was wondering, everytime you test a system, you play royality free music. so, can you give us a play list with good bass music that you think is great. or even share your play list ?
anyone else, feel free to tell me a song you like for the bass
Haha funny you ask, just the other day I was thinking I should post some of my Spotify playlists, I definitely have some songs you'll enjoy!
Holy Sonic Bat Shit Batman This guy the GOAT!
2:10 - Does the class A+B amplifier section share the same 12v rail as the class D? Class D is just inherently noisy from all the AC switching and I worry that this amp will pass that noise through to the A+B.
You’ll be fine
Watching a second time made me wonder about the Mosconi Gladiator... is there an indicator to let the user know what the current level is? I had to unplug and toss my ACR-3 level knob because the infinite spin was driving me nuts.
Might not have been obvious in the video but there are indicators of level as you go up and down.
Indicators + the intensity of the light changes. Really cool to use
Cool. I might have to look into it on my next build.
Any place to learn about how to design these large 4th order bandpass setups i see everyone using... is it just shallow massive surface area ports? I have a build where i want to do a full b pillar back massive sub system, but cant wrap my head around the 4th order box design with multi drivers etc.
All of the people that do well designing 4th order and 6th order enclosures all seem to learn firsthand through trial and error and experience. It doesn't seem to be the kind of thing you can learn in a book. You can still learn the theory from a book, though.
@@JasonWW2000 This is correct... Trial and error and follow basic principles.
.16 litres for front sub, is that because it only has to play up to 60hz?
Looking for a recommendation for subwoofer amplifier my setup is more SQ/SQL subs are 4 10" Sony mobile ES total end ohms is 4 ohms Sony head unit to AudioControl epicenter to AudioControl dm8-10 and I'm stuck on witch amp (1.) the AudioControl lc-1.1500? or (2.) JL Audio rd1500/1?? I'm stuck so any input would be great.. thanks
You can't go wrong with either. You would probably be a little happier with the jl 1500
Audiocontrol lc-1.1500
Six hundred and fifty horsepower turboed wagon…
I have a question. Is it okay to charge or jump start a car battery that has speaker amplifiers attached?
I've jump started a car from the positive and negative leads on my amplifier
Heck yeah, with some proper know how. Make sure everything , amp/s, stereo, screens, lights,…etc… is turned off and or disconnected to get a proper jump and avoid any mishaps
All my friends loved having me around for jump starting them because I had 4 Batts in my trunk and had two power inputs from the battery bank going straight to my amp
10:39 its a what!
the 4 channel amps with more power on the front is not a new thing. JL audio did this years ago with the 450/4... slash series.... did not take off... hopefully this company will have better luck...
Never said it was new. But it is unique. You don't see it often.
@@CarAudioFabrication yes... I never said you referred it as new... I was just stating that it has been around... but not a popular choice for installs ..hence why JL killed the 450/4
Low and loud lol , I wanna death match this car at 15hz for two minutes. If I win give me some mosconi goodies
It's not going to do crazy numbers, but it will play 25hz to 20K with audio perfection at high volumes. Sound Quality that is loud... That was the goal.
Mark I may have missed it but how long did that build take him?
I didn't ask on camera. I think the response was "awhile". A lot of times with these big demo builds the hours kind of get lost as it's not built for a client. But maybe they can chime in if they see this comment.
It's a tough answer, because this car has been through several revisions over the past 10 years. Starting from scratch, about 400 hours into the stereo system/fabrication.
@SoundsGoodStereo thanks for chiming in!
@@SoundsGoodStereo I installed back in the day (late 90’s/early 2000’s) and I love the attention to detail guys like you and Mark put into it! I’d have loved to have had the technology and tools you guys have back then! Keep on killin it!!🙌🏻👍🏻
What was the knob that he has?
It's a prototype Mosconi dsp knob. Not yet released
What's powering the system?
A small nuclear reactor :P
QUESTION: is my math correct, I have three 10TW3-8 (JL Audio DVC 8 ohm) if I wire them black to black, red to red in a line, and put the positive end off the amp down on one end, and the neg. coming off the amp down on the other end does that give me 1.5 total ohm?
Hey mate, you would wire to positive for starters, then from the negative to the next positive of your woofer and end with the last negative wired back to the negative of the amp, which would create a 2ohm setup.
Been running a/b on mids and highs , to me it's a difference sound.
What do you mean?
@@JasonWW2000 class a/b amplifier..to me deeper and richer sounding
@@roadlife9312The deeper and richer sound your hearing is due to something else, not the topology of the amplifier.
It could be explained as simply as you've never listened to a high-end class D amplifier. I think you're making an incorrect assumption.
Been in and around all kinds of system...it's my opinion and I'm sticking with it
@@roadlife9312I'm not challenging your opinion, I'm just trying to explain that you're making an assumption as to WHY you think it's better.
Be honest with us, you really don't know why one amplifier sounds better than another. Is it the reserve capacity, the noise floor, the dynamic range, the damping factor, etc... Maybe it's just the brand?
People make up all kinds of reasons to explain things they don't know.
When you say the reason it sounds better is because it's class A/B, it really doesn't make sense.
If you were to compare the lowest quality class A/B amp from a flea market to one of Alpine's top of the line class D amps, are you still sure that the class A/B is going to sound better?
If it were really that simple, then all amplifiers would be Class A/B, don't you think?
I wonder what his charging system is made up of
Charging system itself doesn't have to be anything exotic but a 2nd battery and capacitors should be sufficient to support the system when it's turned up to 11.
@@F1aficionado Depends on what amp(s), and how much power your running. Plenty systems out there that need more than two batteries.
HO Alternator from Brand X and two XS Power Lithium Titan 8 batteries. Of course all the copper wiring, etc
@@SoundsGoodStereo 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽.
@@g4werkzgenesisparts556 Also, we added an XS Power power supply in the car, so at shows it is plugged into an extension cord. Very rare would it be playing at idle for long periods of time. So this capacity works for this purpose.
he has a nice system...BUT HE'S STILL OUTSIDE. HA HA HA HA
Why did they tune it to 45hz if they wanted it to play from 60hz?
Front sub/front stage is 60Hz+ and the back bakers dozen is for 60Hz and below.
@@JoshM7 yes and in a 4th order bandpass the tuning freq works as a lowpass filter.
@@extrakimF Yup. But realize the cone area difference and even accounting for the rolloff it'll blend together fine.
I only see 12
pay atttention to the beginning of the video theirs one in the center of the dash
I like this set up but these apps just aren't accessible to the average guy. I just looked one up and it's$2500 bucks! No thank you. Nice set up though.
They are not cheap, but they can do things that other amplifiers cannot... It's all a part of the build, just like 3,000hp cars... Some items can be cheap and others are mega money to keep the performance up. When building a stereo system, it's all about balance and utilizing the $$$ where it will deliver the best performance. Not spend $2500 on a amp to $99 speakers. Balance it out.
Everything doesn't need to be for everyone. And that's OK. I sure wish I could have a Ferrari. But I can't afford that. Doesn't mean I'm going to yell at a dude for driving one or bringing one to a car show. I can appreciate things that are cool, even if I can't personally afford them.
I only count 12...🤔
Watch the video :)
Didn't watch the video, did you?
Moist
It doesn't look like a 4th order. A big open side does not make a ported enclosure.
When it's calculated and you're lucky with the system design, it is.
@@SoundsGoodStereo No, it's not.
@@bassahaulicLol at arguing with Sage of all people...
@@bassahaulic sounds more like a tuned console then a fourth order

ts tuned to 48hz bruh low n loud says Kicker 😂😂😂😂
@@Kicker700Why would you just assume that the builder, designer and tuner of the vehicle would be wrong and you, who have never even seen the vehicle in person, is automatically correct?
Were you able to calculate the subwoofer enclosure dimensions when the hatch is closed? Were you able to run impedance sweeps and calculate the tuning?
4th order when hatch is closed for the 12 subs, details were in the vid. Pretty cool
The vehicle is acting as a 4th order. It's explained in the video
Things that is not: A 4th Order Bandpass.
How is it not a 4th order.... Sealed chamber, calculated vented chamber, reinforced....
That's what im saying even if there was a tuning from that "port" opening it would be so high that it wouldn't be of any use.
@@DonLester-12v the "port" area is so large there is no useful tuning on that. sure the idea can be done but they haven't done it here no way that has a helmholtz of 45hz.
Deleting comments and not responding to the tough ones. You might as well post a video, "I don't actually do youtube for the views."
The amps he 'features' here are 1200 dollars.
Most are $1200 and the 4channel for the front midrange/tweeters is $2500
Didn't delete anything. Your comments are in my review filter due to your swearing.
What a waste using 8's! Could have done 4x12 instead, would have been way better.
Cone area… 12 x 8-inch provides more than four 12-inch 👍🏼👍🏼
@@DonLester-12v Cone area isn't the issue, it's the fact 8's will never sound as good as 12's when it comes to bass. This build was going for some goofy awe factor for having 12 8's, to each their own but it still looks ridiculous also. Heck, even 8 10's would have been better.
Not enough airspace for 8 10-inch subs. You’re assuming the size of the woofer has anything to do with the way it “sounds” or it’s limited to a type of music. This has the cone area of almost 4 15-inch subwoofers with only 6 cuft of airspace.
I'm guessing this is an sq build as opposed to spl, 8's are better for controlled bass, sure they wont go as low as 12's but they are usually much better controlled.
@@LukeTheJoker With this much displacement, it will play down to 25hz with authority.
Someone cant multiply. 3 rows of 4 =13? try 12
