I honestly think both brothers would of done what was best. Jere would've let belly and Conrad be happy. And Conrad knew he still needed time to heal that's why he never told belly how he felt. I also think the books give better clarification of conrad’s actions in this episode

@@JoiLouiseReacts the second book is told through belly and jere perspective and we don't get conrads until book 3. But we do see what he is thinking during the motel scene.

I couldn’t agree more. I really wish that for Connie in the future. He’s carrying so much and it’s not good for him or those around him. But, I think either way, Jer and Belly are GOLDEN and so good for each other.
Great reaction. Being Team Jeremiah I love how mature Jeremiah was during this season especially the last 2 episodes. Also, Gavind admitted in an interview that Jeremiah was awake during the motel scene which is probably the reason why he also left and the reason why he thought Belly was picking Conrad again over him but what did he do he stopped Belly to try and make her feel better because he cares about her that much.
I personally believe Belly made her decision at the end of episode 4 when they instinctually grabbed each other's hands and locked eyes on the ride whoch Taylor called out right away.
Omg! That scene gave me chills. It’s was the rawest and most romantic moment between Jeremiah and Belly. He’s so open and transparent but also wants the VERY best for her. Even if it isn’t with him. A guy like that is hard to come by. And on the flip side his love isn’t just romantic. He’s got great love for his brother too. 😫🥰🫶🏽
I agree that Belly made her decision after the Tower of Terror. I believe what she told Jeremiah outside the garage that she was trying to get over her pass and move on in the present at the same time. She was trying to figure out what happened with Conrad not trying to get back with him. Of course the scenes were also there to create drama.
LOVED THIS REACTION!! #teamjeremiah My question is though why was Steven acting as if he and Jere were best friends at the end there before the volleyball game when he knows he's basically been speaking ill of him concerning his relationship with Belly. Idk he was kind of acting like a snake. And him wanting Conrad and Belly back together after he saw the state that Belly was in after the breakup was insane, I mean he was the one who comforted her at the prom when he saw her crying and he still rooted for him. I can't even begin to comprehend that "Jeremiah doesn't challenge Belly; not in the way that Conrad does and Jeremiah's easier" comment. The only thing Conrad challenges is Belly's patience and sanity. 🤣As far as I'm concerned, Jere was the one who challenged her positively and pushed her towards growing. He was the only one who encouraged her to get back into volleyball when she felt like a failure (besides Taylor). Anyways, I never liked Conrad in the books (which he was worse in) and I don't like him in the show even if they've "softened" his character to make him more palatable for today's audience. Jeremiah is the one and only. My gosh that kiss!! The way he couldn't even look at her because if he did he would fold and she had to turn his face towards her. 😵💫He could not resist her anymore. He restrained himself for the entire season and now it was finally his and Belly's time. Gavin Casalegno is an excellent actor. It's like I could feel Jeremiah's love for Belly through the screen. Facial expressions and body language was on point. Lol I could talk about this show for miles but I've rambled on enough
Ugh! All of these things!!! Steven still has so much more growing to do. I hope we get to see more of it in season 3. Jeremiah is the ONLY choice in my book. He’s PASSIONATE, selfless and adores Belly. I wish he was her first because Connie didn’t deserve it. At all! Jer speaks life into her and pushes her forward. Connie was like a rollercoaster. Moments of happiness and valleys of sadness.
I think Steven being Team Conrad was all about Steven. He thought that if Conrad and Belly got back together that made what he did to Taylor okay. Once he started liking Taylor romantically he had a lot of guilt over the way he had treated her.
But they were totally separate things and it was really stupid of him to support Conrad especially knowing that Conrad was having mental health issues and wasn't getting help for it.
The problem for Jeremiah is that everyone except for belly only looks at the surface of him and sees the fun guy and no one really looks at who he really is deep down especially Conrad. Conrad undermines him at every turn acting like he's a child and can't take anything seriously and only Conrad can fix things.
Totally agree that chemistry is insane between Jeremiah and Belly. They are both great actors.
Unfortunately I don't see any romantic chemistry between Belly and Conrad. Maybe an actor choice on Chris's part or director's choice. I would think Chris's part. Cuz Chris does really well in other aspects of the show like being a total dick in making you really really not like Conrad.
Those two kisses are possibly the best kisses on screen ever.
I'm halfway through book three and I really don't like Belly or Conrad. I like Jeremiah okay in the books but since we're getting a lot of negativity about him from Belly it's kind of hard to tell because I think most of her negativity about him is just because he's not Conrad.
In the show I absolutely LOVE Jeremiah and I love Belly. Can't stand Conrad. I totally love team Jellyfish and think it's so stupid that they are not going to be endgame. Besides the fact that I want them to be it sends a terrible message for young girls for her to end up with Conrad.
Besides friends to lovers is a lot more believable and rootworthy than a school girl crush when she was 10 years old on a boy who turned out to be a dick when he grew up.

I think when they have kissing scenes together its amazing just like in s1 but sometimes when they just talk it fall flat for me and I wonder if it's the chemistry or the direction

I think knowing how the book series ends gives us an unconscious bias towards rooting for the endgame (Bonrad), but if we ignore that information then we'd see how Jeremiah is the better choice in so many ways. Jere is always there for her, willing to sacrifice his own feelings/happiness for her, consistent, communicates, defends her and is her best friend. Yes, Conrad may love her but that's irrelevant when he constantly hurts her. Friends to lovers is a superior romantic trope and much more realistic than the whole hopeless romantic act which becomes exhausting and toxic. Conrad literally manipulates and gaslights Belly all the time, going back and forth with his feelings and words. Also, a lot of Belly's feelings for Conrad stem from the infatuation of her crush finally liking her back, but feelings fluctuate and end of the day its who brings out the best in you and that's Jere. The last book completely ruined Jeremiah's character so that Bonrad could be endgame and it reinforces a horrible pattern of refusing to let go of your past. Both belly and Conrad led people on first season and was willing to cheat when they almost kissed before Jere stopped it with fireworks. Jere never did that so him "cheating" is so random and outta no where. And if Conrad truly loved Belly he'd let her go and give her the chance to come back on her own. He always makes things so messy chasing her. Tired of people making excuses for his behavior as if it wasn't Jeremiah's mom too. People say Jere is the easier choice but it's actually a lot harder to put aside feelings/history with someone and choose what's healthy for you. Jere was so mature to ask Conrad about his feelings for Belly yet when Conrad wanted Jere's blessing he only cared about himself and never what Jere wanted. Jere deserves better than all of this tbh.
Well said! Having NEVER read a book from this series, it’s interesting to see how they turn out. I am hoping we get a it or a twist with the show as it appears that Jere is the better option. I hope Belly makes the best choice.
@@JoiLouiseReacts there have been many changes to the series adaptation which hint Jere could be endgame (which I'm hoping on the slightest chance). But also many aspects of the books have been included hinting towards a Bonrad ending too. I think Jenny has done an incredible job creating a true love triangle where both characters are flawed yet humanized enough to have empathy and root for unlike others where there's always a clear winner. Still, for once it would be nice to see the objectively better and healthier choice win. Belly is so chaotic I hope Jenny creates a character arc where she grows from her crush into a grounded reality.

Loved XO. It was the first time I'd actually heard it I somehow missed it when it came out. But Jelly did actually get Jenny Hans favorite Taylor Swift song which is Delicate. My favorite also.

I feel the exact same way. Not sure where it even came from as he seems to have really spent no time around Jeremiah this season. Perhaps he was only going off of the old Jer. Either way, he needed to be silent on the whole thing. 🤷🏾♀️

These last two episodes were great! That car scene in the finale made me so uncomfortable. The things Conrad were saying we so nasty and completely unrelated to why he was angry. Slut shaming Jere and making fun of the college he is going to was not the right way to handle that situation. Jere had the patience of a saint in that scene. I was super impressed by how maturely Jeremiah handled everything. I’m proud of him being the one to tell Belly she needed to talk to Conrad, and being the first one to tell Conrad that he just wants the both of them to be happy, and that he’ll step aside if she chooses him. He’s grown so much! I’m really proud of Belly too. She finally realized how Conrad is, and that it isn’t her job to fix him. Nobody can say after this season, that Belly didn’t choose Jere of her own free will. I’m glad they had her choose Jere even after Conrad admitted his feelings.
I’m not sure what’s going to happen in season 3, but short of completely destroying Belly and Jeremiah’s characters, (which would be extremely disappointing) I don’t see how they could make Belly get back together with Conrad. Regardless, for now I’m just going to enjoy what we have, and I hope we get to see a lot of college cuteness between Belly and Jeremiah. I can’t wait to see them in a relationship! Also, Lola and Gavin’s chemistry is just perfection. Those two kissing scenes were insane! I can’t believe we got XO by Beyoncé! That was iconic.
The chemistry between these two was UNREAL! I’m hoping that we get to see growing pains of the Jellyfish relationship. Let’s have Belly stand on her choice and see this relationship flourish. I hope we see Connie going to therapy and REALLY getting help he needs.

I loved and hated Conrad’s car antics. Loved bc he was unhinged and making me laugh. Hated bc it was petty. The slut shaming and school shaming were particularly low. I will give him grace because he was going through it.
We can only give him grace for so long. Mental health and grief are not a reason to hurt anyone let alone the ones closest to you. I really wanted Belly to admit that Jer was the better kisser but she spared Connie’s feeling unlike he did hers. Everyone was grieving Suzannah. Not just Connie. I would have dragged him. I mean, imagine if Taylor was in that car scene. 🤣

Loved it!!! It was worth the wait!! My personal thoughts are that its always been Jeremiah for Belly. Even though it goes against the books. The show characters are very different from the books, more dimentional. There's been a few little signs. S1 in Belly's dream after the pool Kiss, Jeremiah tells her its always been us, how can u not see and then Belly tells Taylor that dreams arent real and real is scary, to which Taylor responds, isnt love supposed to be scary. Then in S2, episode 6, right before Belly pushes Jere in the pool, he saus that dreams take you to your safe place. Conrad was always safe for Belly because she always dreamed of being with him. 🤞crossed Team Jeremiah will be endgame. Even if they dont end up together, I pray we get to see Jeremiah happy and at peace.❤❤❤❤

The number of people - real and fictional - that slut shame Jeremiah for being equal and open opportunity while he was *single*... when he's literally the only character in that bunch who *never* led on or outright cheated on anyone. Quite the weird standard for morality. I mean, Stephen all mad in season 1 that Jeremiah kissed Luke at that party when Conrad spent that same night at Nicole's house. I can't with that.

I love JELLY! They are my favorite. Although Jeremiah is flawed, he is so good to Belly. Conrad has been a rollercoaster. And not the kind you want to get back in line for. I am not sure if he is better in the books, but I really can't see Belly going back to him. I wouldn't. Lol!

Conrad, Belly, and Jere are all responsible for the dynamic the three of them have with each other. Both boys have at different points wanted to pursue a relationship with her while being aware of their brother also having feelings for her. It’s a messy and complicated situation where they are all young and making mistakes. It is ridiculous to place all of the blame on Belly and take away all of the agency both brothers have in this situation.
🤣🤣🤣 I can’t complete disagree with you. Belly definitely added fuel to the fire. Adam is TRASH! Who cheats on their spouse when their going through Chemo? Basura!!!! 🗑️ Aunt Julia tried to explain her rationale to us but it wasn’t based on anything REAL other than how she felt about her Dad. I didn’t understand what that had to do with those boys or even Suzannah. But Laurel knew she had to stroke her ego a bit to save the day and the summer house. Laurel is my hero! 🥰
If I can throw my two cents in, we really should be blaming the parents (minus Suzannah). These kids are CRAZY because of their drama and lack of presence as parents. The underage drinking and back talk was out of control. Connie’s issues stem from his Dad being a jerk and not being there the first time their Mom got sick. Laurel definitely was easy on her kids too. No one got grounded throughout both seasons. I would have been in so much trouble I would have been using owls to communicate with the world. Divorce also negatively impacts kids, Belly struggles with her ideas of love based on how her partners interacted with each other. So I think the parents are to blame. 💁🏾♀️
@@JoiLouiseReacts Yes, I definitely agree with that. To me that absolute worst and most direct cause of this love triangle is Susannah telling Belly all her life she was destined for one of her boys. She can have a hope that it could happen, but Susannah should’ve kept that to herself instead of putting that idea into Belly’s head. I think a lot of Belly’s confusion and going back and forth between Conrad and Jere comes from Susannah convincing her that they are her only two legitimate romantic options. And especially now that she has passed I’m sure Belly feels even more pressure to honor her by ending up with one of them. Also that last scene with Belly and Susannah really annoyed me with her telling Belly to look after Conrad. It is so wrong for her to be giving this 16 year old girl the responsibility to take care of her college age son who just broke her heart. If she is that concerned about Conrad she should ask Laurel to take care of him or try to get him into therapy, but it is so wrong and potentially harmful to essentially make that her dying wish to Belly. That last scene should’ve been about her encouraging Belly to conquer the world and get the most out of life, but instead she is putting the idea in her head that no matter how badly Conrad treats her she must stick by him and take care of him because he needs and loves her. It just seemed incredibly inappropriate and like something that could have permanent consequences for Belly’s psyche.
This is heavy but so true. We can definitely place the blame on Susannah too. I couldn’t agree with you more. That conversation should have gone VERY differently. The Dad should be looking after those boys!!! I can’t stand Adam!
