  • I successfully applied to the University of Bristol in both 2019-20 and 2020-21, but I found there wasn’t much advice on YT about what makes a successful application. So today’s video is all about the application and admissions process - from the general approach, and what qualities they’re looking for in a candidate, to the process specific departments take - I’ve got it all covered!! I hope this gives you a clear guide on how to go about beginning your application to the University of Bristol & I’m wishing you all the best of luck!!

    I am email about being on hold twice for Economics and Politics and I’m very worried about being rejected as it is my first choice uni….is there any chance people on hold get accepted ?

    I applied to KCL, QMUL, Bristol, Sheffield and Warwick for Physics with Astrophysics. I got offers from all of them, and I believe that it was mostly dependant on my 12th grade predicted marks. My 10th-grade marks were below 80% (where most people easily score above 90%), however, my twelfth-grade marks (predicted) were 94%. I also made my SOP pretty diverse but also focused a lot on my course of choice. I got an A*AA offer from Warwick and Bristol, which were the two uni's I wanted to go to, and now I'm a student at Warwick. I'm from India so I don't know how different these policies are for us if they are different. But yes, I think it's easily based on your predicted grades more than your SOP. Very informative video btw :))

      Hello! I have a question that, did they take your 12th marksheet again or did they actually accept you based on the predicted marks and the SOP?

    • @RitvikivtiR
      @RitvikivtiR Před 2 lety +1

      @@sinnerskies646 they gave me a conditional offer based on my predicted grades, and then I had to send the grades I scored after my results. And then they gave me an unconditional offer.

      @@RitvikivtiR thanks alot for replying. And can you explain the offer a bit?

      @@sinnerskies646 so, on their websites, they have their entry requirements listed already. My course had an A*AA in A Level terms but they've given translations to other exams, like mine. I had to get a 90% in Maths and Physics, and 90% Overall, that was the offer given to me. But usually for non-science courses, the offers aren't too high. The uni is gonna give you a similar, if not the exact same condition on your offer. Some colleges have lower conditional offers and some have very high. For eg- Durham, for the same course, has a requirement of A*A*A*, which is crazy lol. I hope this helped

    Hi! I'm Argentinian and I'm trying to understand the aplying process in the university of bristol for an international student. I noticed they keep attention to a lot of things i don't know that even existed. Here is free, national, and public, so I'm very lost, if anyone wants to help me with this i would really, really, REALLY, appreciated. I want a better future for me than what I can do here, so thank you in advanced.

      Unfortunately I can’t really advise on that, as it is a completely different discipline to what I applied for. I am also studying towards a bachelors degree right now, so I am yet to experience the application process for masters programmes, and therefore don’t want to misadvise you! All I can suggest is to go to your desired course’s webpage and read through their stated entry requirements and admission info, etc.
      Apologies I can’t be of more help, but best of luck with everything!
