#nintendo #nintendoswitch2 #switch2 - Hry
I’m going with Mario Kart, Metroid, Star Fox and Xenoblade.
For me its gotta be:
$5 on Super Mario - We're due for another 3D Mario and it makes the perfect launch title!
$4 on Metroid - Whether its Metroid Prime 4 (I still believe that's a Switch 1 title) or even a new 2D Metroid title by MercurySteam I would love to see my favorite franchise represented at launch.
$4 on Donkey Kong - Most likely a 3D platformer, given Retro's preoccupation, I just really want to see more Donkey Kong out there and develop a 3D platformer identity separate from Mario.
$1 on Punch-Out!! - My favorite Wii game, we need more of this puzzle-action classic, especially now that Next Level is a 1st Party Dev for Nintendo and off the success of Luigi's Mansion 3.
$1 on Rhythm Heaven - Rhythm games needs representation and Rhythm Heaven is such a unique take on the genre that has long been missed.
My dream lineup:
$5 Super Mario
$4 Animal Crossing
$3 Star Fox
$2 Yoshi
$1 Rhythm Heaven
$4 DK - 3D Donkey Kong
$4 DK - 2D Donkey Kong
$4 DK - Diddy Kong Racing
$3 Starfox - New action adventure type game
Perfection
$4 DK-3D open world DK
$5-Mario Kart 9
$2-3D Yoshi
$4-Animal crossing
DK at launch in May 2025, Animal crossing in August, Mario Kart 9 in November, Yoshi in March 2026
All I want for a launch game is an HD port/remake/sequel to Kid Icarus Uprising, and maybe a new Fire Emblem game with the storytelling of Three Houses and the art style of Engage🤩
Pokémon Legends Z-A could be a cross-gen Switch 2 launch year game alongside Switch 1. So that's a possible one which would fufill the RPG category.
$5 - 3D Mario
$4 - 2D Donkey Kong
$3 - Kirby
$2 - Mario Party
$1 - Pilotwings
My Line up switch 2 you are you spending
$5. Super smash bros mario kart
4$ Metroid and WarioWare
$3 starfox and Luigi mansion
$2. Donkey Kong.
1$ punch out and animal crossing Pikmin
$10 splatoon and zelda
Legend of Zelda, Xenoblade Chronicles, Metroid, Luigi's Mansion.
3D Open World Mario!
SMRPG 2 !
$5 Super Smash bros.
$4 Donkey Kong
$3 Luigi's Mansion
$2 Mario Party
$1 Warioware
$5 3D Mario
$4 Metroid Prime 4 (honorable mentions to DK)
$3 Star Fox
$2 F-Zero
$1 Rhythm Heaven
The other franchises can wait for year 2 (specifically Smash, Mario Kart, Mario Sluggers). If Kid Icarus was at the $3 tier or lower, I would have picked it over my other choices.
4:27 elden ring zelda, i luv it!❤
Tbh, they only need Mario Kart 9. That’s it. Instant success. Splatoon 4 in summer, Metroid Prime 4 as the holiday title.
Smash, Mario, & Zelda.. easy choice!
$4 DK
$3 Luigi’s Mansion
$3 Star Fox
$2 Pikmin
$2 F-Zero
$1 Rhythm Heaven
A new DK country along with Star Fox (like Kit said, redone ground up) could be a really strong launch and holiday season pairing. Two games that aren’t the usual Mario or Zelda on the new system could give a fresh feel to differentiate Switch 2 from OG Switch.
Rhythm Heaven within the first month or two of launch, maybe even a party style RH could be fun.
Then Pikmin in late spring/early summer, I’m just a sucker for Pikmin. Lol
F-Zero in the summer could be another fresh start for an old IP that could even fill that racing game role.
Luigi’s Mansion in October, obviously.
I’m not too worried about Zelda because we just got that and we know they’ll keep doing it soon. Mario we know is never going to stop. And I’m with Krysta, I’m getting burned out with the Metroid situation, plus we know it will eventually come. A new 2d Metroid maybe, but otherwise I’m good waiting.
2 Pikmin, 2 Zelda, 1 Pilotwings
As a Metroid fan I’d love for Prime 4 to be a launch title in hopes it would help it sell well…
But I think it’s likely the system launches with either Mario Kart or 3D Mario and the other one releases for the holiday.
It would be pretty fun to get a 3D Mario Game for launch day again. Hasn’t happened since the first one on N64!
Metroid Prime 4 may be a cross gen title.
Hey Kit and Krysta I’ve been watching you guys since I was 14 now I’m 23. I’ve always enjoyed your gaming takes. Hope you guys have a good day.
Kit’s face lol after Kystra spends four dollars on Fire Emblem
Let's just keep it 💯
$5 - The Legend of Zelda
$5 - Super Mario
$5 - Mario Kart
I'd want a new DK game, Star-Fox game, and F-Zero game!! those series have been sitting on the shelf for too long!!
I don't see Mario Kart 9 being a launch game and I don't know if I'd want an "Elden Ring" Zelda but that reminded me of what they showed off for the Wii U. Looked like a sequel to Twilight Princess, looked cool as hell
My economic-based hot take is that the Switch 2 should absolutely thrive on its backwards compatibility. I think there's extreme value in the fact that you can play the Zelda "Open Air" games in 60 FPS, which is way more exciting than the jump people experienced playing something like Spider-man on their PS5s to get 4k, 60fps, and raytracing (but not all at the same time). This backwards compatibility is a cornerstone for the new console.
My DREAM Switch 2 lineup:
$1 - WarioWare (new mainline game that uses new console gimmick)
$2 - F-Zero (new mainline game with GOOD online multiplayer modes)
$3 - Starfox (new mainline game that DOES NOT use any weird gimmicks)
$4 - Metroid (Metroid Prime 4 baby!!!!!)
$5 - Zelda (new mainline game that has a bigger and more linear storyline)
I know this is mainly about 1st party Nintendo titles, but, I would love to see Persona 3 Reload & or Metaphor Re:Fantanzio in the Switch’s successor launch year
$5 Zelda - Any really, but, 2D Zelda would be nice
$5 Pokemon - Looking forward to Legends ZAZA haha
$4 Metroid - I NEED MORE METROIDVANIAS …if not Silksong would be an excellent substitute
$1 Rythmn Heaven - Gotta have some boppers to listen to 🎶 ;)
For this specific console
$5 Mario Kart
$4 Xenoblade
$3 Kirby
$1 WarioWare
$1 Rhythm Heaven
$1 Pilotwings
Reasoning -
We've been waiting for fresh starts on both these big ones for a while now and they're also great openers.
Kirby always does well and would fill the Mario-World void until one is released.
The $1 games are just the best of the selection and having a few great C list games at the start will set people for choice until the options widen over the first year.
Nintendo got this.
If we can do it i'm sure they can.
Yesss. Finally someone making a video like this. Love you❤️❤️❤️😎
5-Mario Cart
4-Fire Emblem
3-Xenoblade
3-Kirby
I want more $ 😂
Mario Kart, Zelda, Fire Emblem and Rhythm Heaven sounds kinda brutal ngl lmao
$5 3D Mariokart
(AUGUST launch title, early adopters receive Double Dash mode free, which is an online upresed version of double dash showing off ray tracing. 2nd year adopters buy it as DLC. Have at least one more unexpected mode, such as boss-battler mode, open city mode through Tokyo with a custom garage that you can decorate with unlocked collectables and change the layout for which becomes a custom stage for battle mode, or a team race mode with tracks designed with team play in mind inspired by Freaky Fliers - steal and deliver a pizza from an NPC in lap 1 to a home in lap 2 at the cost of not using items to open a shortcut for your teammates on lap 3, for example).
$4 Metroid
(launch title, 1st year adopters also receive Metroid Prime Trilogy from the WiiU)
$2 F-Zero
(September. Licensed out to Drool, makers of Thumper, to buy more time on Mariokart 9 development for the 2nd year. Includes a rhythm-based take on death race from F-Zero X in addition to normal modes)
$2 Mario Party
(October)
$2 Yoshi's Trail
(November, 2D Yoshi platforming RPG set in a reimagined 1800s American West)
This gives us the consistent sellers early (Mariokart/Mario Party), Something for core gamers (Metroid/Fzero) and something new (Yoshi's Trail). If we don't feel Metroid/Fzero is enough for the core, then replace both with a 3D Mario and a ray-traced version of Mario 64 as an exclusive 1st-year adopter perk.
Gartooth is on the mark wow, like even the order of games is perfect
I say Mariokart, Super Mario, DK, and Punch Out. This console might not be as revolutionary as the Switch so launching with household names and a classic title seems like the best move.
Battalion wars 3 must have
$5 Pokémon Legends Z-A
$5 Mario Kart 9
$4 Metroid Prime 4
$1 whatever to round it out
I'd be okay with a new StarFox Adventures. I know that's probably not a popular game, but I loved it on the GameCube. I still say the lines of the lizardman shopkeeper.
"YOOOOUUUU pay this much. NO! That's too low. YOOOOUUUUU pay this much. Okay, I'll sell it to you!"
Coming at this from the angle of “what would be the best launch lineup, period” rather than “what would I like,” I think it’s important to have a balance of safe picks and experimental options.
For safe picks, first has gotta be Super Mario. Simple, well-rounded, sells very well in most markets. $5 spent right off the bat.
Next, let’s appeal slightly to the major gaming markets, casual and competitive, by adding some beloved long-term engagement games: Animal Crossing and Splatoon. Now $13 are spent.
Last is the experimental games, which I think should be demonstration grounds for what the console is capable of. WarioWare has a history of using unique aspects of a console for its gameplay, so throw that in. Finally, the environment is very important to Pilotwings, so it can be used to show off the new graphical capabilities. And there goes all $15.
$5 Zelda
$4 Metroid
$4 Animal Crossing
$2 F-Zero
That would sure keep me going for months :)
My dream line up:
$5 Zelda
$4 Animal Crossing
$3 Paper Mario
$2 Yoshi
$1 Rhythm Heaven
I ignored recent/soon to have releases for Switch. If I added weight to those, I may change my choices 😂. This is my dream list for a console.
Mario kart, Zelda and pokemon... now what I want. But financially speaking..
$5 3D Super Mario
$4 Metro Prime
$3 Luigi's Mansion
$2 Mario Sports (more single player focus / adventure mode)
$1 Punch Out
Ok. Let's do this! I don't think it's likely, but hey, it´s my dream..
DK, Fire Emblem, Star Fox, F-zero, Punch Out and WarioWare
I'm gonna go Pokemon (5), Metroid (4), Fire Emblem (4), and Pikmin (2). This can change a lot based off what I really want vs what I think will actually happen.
1) super mario
2) Pokémon
3) animal crossing
4) rhythm heaven
I will take F Zero 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Donkey Kong 4, Super Mario 5, Piloting 1
I did 5$ mario kart- evergreen title, fans have been asking for a while. Launch day.
$4 Metroid- fans have been asking for this from a while, gives something nice to bundle with later on in the switch2's lifecycle. Summer.
$3 paper mario- something most fans would like. Late year/holiday season release.
$2 f-zero- Same as Metroid, but I would like to see this game updated with new tracks, cars, etc over several years. Maybe second quarter??
$1 style savy- to hit as many demographics as possible. Would also like this to be updated with new clothes and things overtime.
I'd also like to add a pokken tournament sequel with a revamped fighting system for like... 3 more dollars.
Definitely going to be Mario Odyssey 2 and botw definitive/master edition on the switch 2 line-up.
Odyssey 2 will be what galaxy 2 was to galaxy 1, an improvement and extension of it's core mechanics while introducing new concepts they couldn't fit in the original in time.
Botw definitive with 4k/60fps and finally have its dlc bundled together as its still hasn't done that even digitally.
$5 - Super Mario (specifically 3D, and if I get any choice, specifically more Odyssey-adjacent than 3DW-adjacent in its format and presentation)
$5 - Mario Kart feels right but I'm aware this is two Big Launch Mario Games after a pretty Mario-heavy year or so, and two racing games in my lineup, so would happy to swap this out for other options. Zelda, Smash, and Splatoon are all making my eyes light up but I can wait at least a few years for those. Pokemon NEEDS several years in the oven.
$2 - Pikmin
$2 - F-Zero I guess?
$1- Rhythm Heaven. i would pay all $15 for a new Rhythm Heaven if i needed to tbh. or, uh, just $10 maybe, the prospect of a Super Mario is also really really nice...
$5 3D Mario
$4 Animal Crossing
$2 Mario Party, F-ZERO
$1 Pilot Wings, Rhythm Heaven
Digital store front on PC! Where people don’t have to resort to simulation!
$5 - 2D Zelda
$5 - Mario Kart
$3 - Paper Mario (or some other Mario RPG)
$2 - Mario Tennis (with RPG story mode like in GB and GBA games)
This was fun!
$5 3D Mario
$4 Metroid
$4 Animal Crossing
$2 Pikmin
I feel like Waverace would have been a good $1 choice
My dream launch lineup for the Nintendo Switch 2 is as follows.
Mario Kart - a great multiplayer game, worked wonders on Switch 1 and would be an automatic pick-up for most people if it launched with Switch 2.
Metroid - Metroid Prime 4 was first announced as a Switch title. Having a cross launch for the game would benefit not only the Switch, but the Switch 2 as well.
Star Fox - Star Fox hasn't had a new game on the Nintendo Switch, how cool would it be to have another game in the series as a launch lineup for the Switch 2.
Mario Party - With Superstars being the latest title, it's been a while since there has been a new game. It could either be A Superstars 2 or a completely new game with the old mechanics back!
Punch-Out!! - With the last game being on the Wii, it's overdue that a game in this series be unveiled and launched. While it likely wouldn't sell well, it would provide more variety for people to choose from.
5: Mario
3: Luigi's Mansio, Kirby, Paper Mario
1: Punch Out
$5 - 3D Super Mario
$4 - Metroid
$3 - Star Fox
$2 - F-Zero
$1 - Pilotwings
$5 - Mario
$4 - Donkey Kong
$3 - Xenoblade
$1 - Pilotwings, Rhythm Heaven, Style Savvy
I just wanted to debate the categories and the money that it’s worth let’s let’s go. That’s a good one.
$5 Super Mario
$4 Metroid
$4 Donkey Kong
$2 F-Zero
I stand by my point that Open-World Mario is the perfect launch game, and according to VGC and other sources, that's qhats happening.
As pointed out in Reggie's book, Nintendo is very aware that it's the most hardcore fans who are early adopters, that's why Mario Kart is not a good launch title, fans would get bored quickly and when you not engaged with a platform, you spend less on it.
If MK was the launch title, it would kill my launch window hype for the system.
I'd personally take a new Diddy Kong Racing over a new Mario Kart.
Mario Kart 8 is still fairly recent, and still really great to play on Switch. It has been way too long since we enjoyed Diddy Kong Racing.
WE'RE GONNA NEED:
MORE MII GAMES (DELUXE)
MARIO & SONIC AT THE OLYMPIC GAMES 2024 (MIIS INCLUDED)
BABY MARIO PARTY (ALL CHARACTERS)
A NEW RHYTHM HEAVEN GAME
THE TWO NEW MORE WAVES OF SPLATOON 3
BRAND NEW AMIIBOS
$5 Smash
$4 Fire Emblem
$3 Star Fox
$2 F-Zero
$1 Punchout
Reason why I didn't pick Zelda or Metroid; is because I think Metroid 4 will launch on the current Switch and have a $10 update patch for Switch 2; same goes for Tears of the Kingdom (which I sold because didn't have time to play, but a 60fps patch would make me rebuy it at some point). The ones I picked; I would like them to be completely new and built from the ground up; for Switch 2.
Metroid Prime 4 is going to be the BotW for the Switch/ Switch 2
Zelda Ring would be badass
Zelda: designed like Elden Ring
F-Zero: high quality racer
Pilotwings: racing, stunt shows, dog-fighting
Rhythm Heaven: Nintendo IP music
Star Fox: Scale similar to Mass Effect, but without bloat
Mario Sports: multi-sports game for variety.
Wario Ware: a quick game to play whenever you have free time.
I’d go
$1 - Punchout (such an underrated series)
$4 - DK (need a new dk game love the series)
$5 - Pokemon
$5 - MarioKart
I feel like I should be able to knock .50-1.00 off for remakes or re-releases?
$5 Zelda remake/port collection (3DS remakes or better yet Wii U ports)
$4 Metroid Prime 4 or Fire Emblem Ports (Radiance games or Fates)
$3 Star Fox (evolve the series to have some Hades-like elements and a strong online vs. mode)
$2 Mario Sports (Baseball) or F-Zero GC Remake (including online versus)
$1 New Pilotwings or New Rhythm Heaven or Punch-Out (Wii)
$5 - Mario Kart evergreen title that will carry the launch of the system
$5 - Pokemon for the holiday season
$4 Metroid to showcase the horsepower of the system
$1 WarioWare to showcase the new controller and it's gimmicks
If theres a zelda at launch it could be a very shiny hd version of twilight
$5 Mario Kart
$4 Fire Emblem
$4 Donkey Kong
$2 Mario Party
Alternately
$5 Smash Bros
$4 Fire Emblem
$3 Star Fox - Adventure Style
$2 F-Zero
$1 Pilotwings
Hmmm
$5 Mario Kart
$4 Donkey Kong Country
$3 Luigis mansion
$2 Yoshi
$1 Rhythm Heaven
If I have to choose from this table: Mario, Metroid, Star Fox, F-Zero, Style Savvy.
Personally I'd lower DK to $3 tier, raise Style Savvy to $2, and add Tomodachi Life to $4.
Cordelia was in Fire Emblem Warriors. Not 4k, but HD on Switcv 😊
My 3 launch titles.
Super Mario Galaxy 3
Resident Evil 4 remake
Metroid Prime 4
$5 open world 3d Mario
$5 Mario Kart 9
$4 smash bros
$1 Mario Party 11( must say 11 in title)
@4:05 - I'd be down for the Gritty, "Elden Ring" Zelda game if the art design was done by Katsuya Terada, who did artwork for Nintendo Power and the Zelda strategy guides in the 90s.
I like the idea of a nintendo elden ring game, but I'd rather they made a new IP for it, or at the very least used a character other than Link as the protagonist.
$5 Super Mario
$4 Metroid
$3 Xenoblade Chronicles
$2 F-Zero
$1 Rhythm Heaven
$5 New 3D Super Mario holiday game
$4 New 3D DK launch title ( March 2025 )
$3 Starfox reboot game summer time ( June or July )
$2 New Mario Party ( early to mid October )
$1 New Punch Out shortly after launch
Ps: i didn't pick Metroid because I believe Metroid Prime 4 will be cross platform releasing first on Switch this Holiday season And I didn't pick Mario Kart because I think Mario Kart 9 will be a big game coming out in the 2nd year of the console
$4 - Animal Crossing
$5 - Pokemon
$3 - Paper Mario
$3 - Xenoblade
Why Style Savvy of all series, over other series like Sin & Punishment, Wave Race, or Custom Robo, to name a few. And you said you had to remove Kid Icarus for placing reasons, but who is advocating for a Style Savvy year 1 launch?
I will buy Xenoblade 5 times.
But seriously, Xenoblade is a no brainer for me. I'll also add Zelda and Smash. Then for the last $2, I'll get Pikmin.
It pains me to let go of Fire Emblem. Maybe I'll drop Smash and Pikmin for Fire Emblem and Paper Mario lol.
In reality, if we actually got all the $5 tier games to come out in the first year, it would be a dream come true for game fans 🎮❤️ Unfortunately, to keep the system in hype and relevant, it's best to space them all out gradually from a business standpoint
Most realistic IMO:
$5 Super Mario Game with A LOT of Donkey Kong content (game for everyone)
$4 Splatoon 4 (keeps NSO subscriptions going for online gaming, monthly content updates)
$4 Metroid Prime 4 (releasing on old and new hardware, for the "hardcore" fans)
$2 Pikmin 5 ("This is Myiamoto. Thanks for choosing my favorite franchise!" perfect for showing graphical capabilities of the new hardware with hyperrealistic nature)
$5 - Smash Ultimate Deluxe
$4 - METROID PRIME 4
$4 - DK Jungle Swing or something Idk
$2 - Mario Party
8:50 Guys, you heard Krysta say it: people are losing interest in Metroid Prime 4. It's succumbing to Duke Nukem Forever syndrome. 😮
All we've seen is a logo and an apology video lol
I want a legend of Zelda rpg that’s cool like final fantasy but has the charm of like paper Mario and fire emblem cut scenes
$5 3D Mario game in the style of Odyssey
$5 Mario Kart
$3 Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition
$1 Rhythm Heaven
$1 Punch Out
Super Smash Tag 2025 , saying it it first ✋
Poor Cordelia.
Rhythm heaven 1$, punch out 1$, yoshi 2$, f-zero 2$, DK 4$, Super Mario 5$
My dream lineup:
$5 Super Mario
$4 Metroid
$3 Xenoblade
$3 Luigi's Mansion
$5 Super Mario
$4 Metroid
$3 Xenoblade Chronicles
$2 F Zero
$1 Punchout!
3D Mario, Mario Kart, Kirby, Mario Party
Backwards compatibility takes the pressure off the tentpoles like Splatoon, Smash Bros and Animal Crossing. I'd rather not have them rush the next sequels for launch year.
I'm going Super Mario, Metroid, Kirby, and it would be nice for F-Zero not to have Mario Kart cannibalising its sales. We haven't had that scenario since the SNES's launch.
1$ pilot wings 1$ Rhythm Heaven 2$ yoshi 2$ f zero. 4$ metroid. 5$ super mario.
Year 1
$5- Mario Kart
$4- 3D Donkey Kong
$3- Luigi's Mansion
$2- Yoshi
$1- Punch Out!!
& Just for fun the second year id do
$5- Super Mario
$4- Animal Crossing
$3- Starfox
$2- Mario Party
Then for even more fun the 3rd year would be (with the extra $1 i sove from year 2)
$5- Mario Kart DLC
$4- Animal Crossing DLC
$3- Kirby
$2- Mario Baseball & Mario Party DLC
Get ready for this... Nintendo Kart! everyone is here, we get link, samus, fox, kirby everyone in the best nintendo kart racing game ever, people go wild
All my money for Animal Crossing!!! Save the rest in case there are DLC's!
$5 Mario kart
$5 Pokemon
$5 Super mario
