Pedestrian Killed By Hit & Run Driver | Phoenix

Phoenix Police and Fire crews responded to reports of a vehicle vs pedestrian accident at the intersection of 31st Avenue and Northern Avenue around 10:00 pm Friday night.

Upon arrival crews found an unresponsive female victim in the roadway with extensive full body trauma. Firefighters pronounced the victim deceased on scene.

Phoenix Police have confirmed that the collision is being investigated as a fatal hit and run.
•
Multiple witnesses stated 2 vehicles were seen racing each other westbound on Northern at the time of the collision.
•
Neither vehicle stayed at the scene. No vehicle description is available at this time.
•
The intersection is expected to remain closed in all directions throughout the early morning hours as investigators work the scene.
