Him and mayweather the reason I can run 5 miles 😂 6 maybe ona good day… the “Hardwork and dedication” & the mindset of going to war always gets me in the mood to train
@@vinniedixon1140 As much as I love SRR and know we never got to see films of what he looked like in his prime, I just don't think "middleweight" was SRR's absolute best weight class.
Hagler made me to up ma game. Made me go out and run come back and squat, sit ups, push ups, calisthenics, skip, this guy made me battle mode. Make me wanna burst the heavy bag
Not really. Lots of hype before the fight which didn't last long. It's not as if they fought 3 times or 6 times like Sugar Ray Robinson & Jake LaMotta did with each other.
Mentally focus, he was so locked in for that fight. Even when hearns cut and hurt him in the 1st round. He walked him down and ended it in round 3. Amazing performance. R.I.P Hagler. #Newark #brickcity
He’s lucky that he knocked Hearns out when he did because if it went another round, Hearns may have won due to all the cuts and bleeding that Hagler was suffering from.
I'm not sure if that was as an expression, but I wouldn't exactly call it "lucky" if you manage to knock out the great Thomas Hearns in the third round.
The fight was never going 12 rounds due to the fact that before the fight Hearns was getting a massage which relaxed his legs & when his trainer Emanuel Steward came back into the dressing room he went mad as it jeopardised their whole strategy which ended up going out of the window so they told Hearns to just go for it & he was doing well until he broke his hand. Hagler said he was going to knock him out & he did. Surprised they didn't have a rematch as Hearns would've done better.
Yes, lucky. Hagler was bleeding heavily. The ringside doctor, referee or coaches could have stopped it at any moment because of that. It was just as well they didn’t and the fight went on long enough for Hagler to defeat Hearns.
after hagler lands a clean shot that made hearns turn his back he was hurt so that scenario was not LUCKY, it was the effect of haglers relentless aggression

Hagler was the switch hitter that could ko you from either side with either hand. Fighting a southpaw is hard enough as he is perfectly at home always fighting rthodox guys and you are uncomfortable facing the more rare lefty. Hagler was a deadly southpaw like Pacquiao but he could suddenly become right handed and knock you cold.
Mayweather too small to handle that aggression and power. Marvin was absolutely ferocious in the ring. You needed real power and he'd still walk through you.
Feed the Faith, Starve the Doubt - Marvin Hagler
Barz!
Really said a lot about how disciplined he is.
I need to go outside and run, that's the Hagler effect!
👊💯
You took that from Joe Rogan.

Absolute beast of a fighter. When he stepped foot in that ring there was just one thing on his mind, WAR!!!!!!!!!!
One of the greatest middle-weight in history of combat sport to tread on this earth. Absolute legend 🥊
Marvin trained like a Spartan. Nobody was in better physical condition
Facts. And a titanium chin...
"I've been feeding the faith and starving the doubt..." 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 POWERFUL
They dont make 'em like this anymore!!
The marvelous one
The greatest middleweight and arguably the greatest of all time.
Sugar Ray Robinson is the GOAT. As much of a badass Hagler was, Robinson would've outboxed him as his footwork and hand speed were incredible.

@@krugersavage6347 Why was he a 5 time middleweight champion then? He moved up to middle as he had no competition left at welterweight.
@@vinniedixon1140 Robinson also lost the Middleweight Titles 5 times! Far from an invicible Middleweight!
@@vinniedixon1140 Great fight for sure, but yeah, hard to deny a guy who was 144-1 as a ww, then ruled an historic mw division.
