- The newest family member of the SunDown SA Series Subwoofer line. This monster sub is the newest designed SA-12 V2 Subwoofer. This thing appears to be an absolute beast for construction and design. Can't wait to get it installed in my BMW E64 M6 Convertible.

It’s called inverted mounting when the sub is mounted upside down & fires into the enclosure instead of firing into the air! Beautiful Sub 💪
Run a 20hz sine wave / tone for 24 to 48 hours at low volume thru the subs to loosen up the soft parts. This will help you achieve to play lower and louder in your small sealed enclosure. Neither sub is broken in and that could be affecting the performance you are getting. Also these subs are recommended for ported enclosures.

This wasn't available when I ordered my Deaf Bonce. Then when this came out I had to have it. Sadly, I have been traveling a lot for work, and haven't been able to complete the installation. I will post a finished video for sure. Thanks for watching.
That’s a great sub. If you have the room go ported. They are usually made for ported.

The z don't play a wide range of music like the sa but it hits way lower. I honestly prefer multiple sa subs vs 2 z series only because I listen to all types of music. But it just comes down to personal preference either way you will be happy.
how's ur rev3 sound? Idk if I should get the v2 or the rev 3

Hello , What amplifier did you use to power this sub? I have the same exact subwoofer (SA 12 V2 2OHM) and the SFB-1500D Amp & The gain is at a little past quarter and The clip light blinks when It is at normal volume & High volume and subwoofer also getting hot. I only had for about 2 weeks. I am trying to figure out what’s going on with it. I have the sub wired to 1ohm also.
I was running the Rockville RXD-M3 4000 watt mono amplifier at a 2 ohm load. I never take my amps lower than that to keep them from getting too hot during the summer. Hope this helps.
I also tuned my system with the SMD tuner. You may want to make sure your head unit isn't sending out a high dB level or bass boost causing the amp to react negatively.
How does this sundown sub compare to a fosgate T1 12?? Any feedback would be appreciated and thanks
Unfortunately I don't have that sub to compare. However Rockford makes some really nice stuff in the Pro series.
Why would people like or dislike subwoofer basket if its not going to be inverted for people to see? If its going in the box and no one going to see it then I think no one should care that much but we all have likes and dislikes.
What music you listening to with that sub?
I honestly listen to all genres of music. Of course some sound better than others based on the track. However most newer music is digitally mixed better than older tracks so they all perform well. I have also played some very bass heavy tracks to out this sub through it's paces and it performs very well.
In full disclosure, the box design and car I am running this in does not mix well. My truck space is just too limited on room. I have since moved to the Kicker 10" tube enclosure since it is smaller, more efficient, and can fire into the cabin of my car. Video of that coming soon.

Hence the question mark at the end, so people can judge for themselves. For the money, it does pretty well for entry level for novices looking for a sensible budget build. You are correct on the Deaf Bonce.

They’re good subs and have a good price, but the JL w7 destroys all. You can’t beat the quality of JL audio. Yes I know they’re more expensive
