Roger's the consummate media thorn, and you just know any cash from interviews goes straight to charity. He doesn't fit on any news outlet because he's going for truth. I don't agree with all he says, but the main thing - listening to, and caring for one another - Roger is a wake up call. Pink Floyd were the Prog band whose expertise was restraint. Thus everything they did was thoughtful, careful, and respectful to the audience. Roger ain't Gene Simmons. Anyone who comes up with 'Hanging on in quiet desperation is the english way' is well worth listening to, and truly alive. Roger cares about people, be they his audience or not. I hope he lives to 180.

I see Roger Waters as one of the few heroes of our time. We need more like him, without question. His heart is in the right place, and he's able to spread the message through his music and through his voice that the thing that truly matters, isn't all the corporate greed, and prejudice, and hatred that our leaders keep pumping out to us through their propaganda and war efforts, it's humanity and love that truly matter; that's besides him being a musical genius. Something I've noticed about Roger now, as compared to Roger back then, is that he now has just as much criticism and anger for the democratic party now, as he always has had for the republican party here in the U.S. I think the reason for that is obvious, and I have to agree.

Thank you for bringing awareness to all Americans. I have loved you since I fell in love with Pink Floyd at 15 in 1995. The truth is so important to break through the propeganda and I suffer with both of my parents who are brainwashed by it. It’s almost unbearable when I just bring up that the US is never innocent in all of this and the other horrific things that continue to go on. But after listening to this I will try again. In 2007 my brother and I had 2nd row seats at the Dark side of the moon tour and haven’t missed one of your MN shows. ❤️ Roger I would love to see you on Joe Rogan, your minds seem to be in sync and it will help you get your message out. He did bring you up on the Tim Dillon episode and they played your edited version of the CNN version. I have seen the whole clip too. The truth is so important and we are not getting it. I am from Vancouver,Canada and i wanted to say that US Imperialism hasn't changed since the 1960s.
At the present time there is a proxy war been waged by the US Gov't against Russia. This war was started
in 2014 not last February.Although most people in Canada and the USA don't know that. That is a problem.
and if people don't have a political conscience then they will never get the truth about it.The same goes for
China.Taiwan is part of China and China got the right to put a stop to US interference in that part of China.
People in Canada and the USA don't know that Taiwan is part of China. People should know these things so
that the US and Canadian Gov'ts can't take people for Fools.
With regard to Palestine the BDS Movement has been doing a good job in exposing Israeli Apartheid.
A lot more people around the world now support Palestine and ignore the Zionists saying that criticizing
Israel is anti-semitic. The Gov'ts of Canada, USA and Europe support Israeli Apartheid. They have been
condemned around the world for that. There can be no peace with Israeli Apartheid. The majority of people
in the world support the People of Gaza in their fight to be able to travel outside Gaza and the Blockade of
Gaza by Israel.Israel is a manufactured country by the USA.If the USA stopped giving money and Arms to Israel.
Israel wouldn't last a week.Because of that Israel shouldn't be recognized as a country. From the River to the Sea
    Palestine will be Free!

Politics is complicated, which is why war is seen by almost nobody as a solution. EXCEPT those in power, because its VERY useful for them. But don't mistake canadian media, which is VERY narrow, at least as narrow as the US, as 'what canadians think'. I talk to canadians about politics all hte time, and I do more listening than talking, and I'm always impressed by how much average people have taken in DESPITE the media filters.
For Israel thats cut and dried. Thats out and out imperialism and i"ve only really seen diehard israelis support them, or the far right, which thinks that anybody WITH power must have god on its side (ironically they don't yet have power, but also think they have god on their side).
But who Taiwan 'belongs to' should most definitely be up to the TAIWANESE. Likewise Russia claims (and in part rightly) that eastern Ukraine speaks russian and 'should be' part of Russia. They held a referendum, which obviously was garbage, so you get international organizations to come in and hold a FAIR one. Ironically Canada has some experience with this, with the Quebec Referendum, but there was also one in the Czech Republic before separation, which was handled by international organizations with no ties to the region.
Likewise who Caledonia belongs to should be up to them. And yet western nations SUPPORTED Spain in throwing in prison people who had done NOTHING more than try to organize a fair referendum. So thats the west for you. But also Russia, who set up a referendum as botched as the one Germany held to 'claim' that Austria was part of it.
Why almost NOBODY wants to see this is that obviously once you start allowing referenda on separation, people will say "wait, why don't we have MORE referenda, then that way we can stop some of the problems that lead up to why we want separation in the first place".
And ACTUAL democracy is something NO power base wants to see, for fairly obvious reasons. Finland and Switzerland are now, I think, the only two countries with Citizens Initiatives at ALL levels of government. The US has about half the states that have them, while in Canada Alberta got it last year. How much the establishment media hates democracy is obvious from the fact that that is likely the BIGGEST political change in the country in decades, and yet its NEVER in the media. The day after they brought it in some media mentioned it, being careful to couch it in terms that made it seem like not a big deal and most canadians likely don't even know what they ARE. But its never been reported since, not even in Alberta.

Love to Roger Waters. I agree with so many of his views about world politics, but I do think he is wrong about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and his pro-Putin stance (if that is his position rather than a pro-peace position). Russia has failed to develop as a democratic state, unlike neighbouring states. Russia resorted to violence rather than pursue communication. That said, Roger Waters is an important voice in present times that everyone should listen to and give thought to his ideas with an open-mind. COYG (sorry, a bit tribal)!

    • @indigal1720
      @indigal1720 Před 2 lety +3

Bollocks. Tell that to people who are fighting in Donbas today. Both sides don’t wanna fight because they don’t agree with what’s going on. Putin is considered a liberal president in Russia and he’s definitely not handling the situation as tyrants would handle it. Have you talked to at least one Russian who lives there? Most of them will agree that he could’ve done a better job but he has few soft spots. He believes in free market, equal rights, neo liberal economy and bs like that. But both governments knew that they’d go to war back in 1991 simply because they couldn’t figure out how to form the post soviet countries and share their territories equally. This is not putins agenda, this is just a crisis for two neighbors who couldn’t divide the resources and land. You can look up the videos where the president of Ukraine and many Russian diplomats say this all will end up with war. Just know that while the west pictures Putin as evil tyrant by it’s propaganda, most Russians (especially the left) believe that he’s not tough enough. Anyway… Americans know better what’s best for Russian people ☹️

    • @ImpetusOmnipotens

So many things wrong with what you said, as the previous comment says, bollocks. Putin desperately tried to pursue conversation it was America that didn't want to listen, Roger is right about that. If only the US government didn't act like they are the masters of the world and like the cowboys that they are and actually sat down and considered Russia's worries and demands this could've been avoided. All they had to do is meet the Russians in a dialogue as equals but we all know the Americans are unable to do that with anyone, they always have to be on top and dictate the terms.
On another note, if you think Ukraine is a democratic country you have another thing coming.

Again Roger, you are a Great musicien, but as I wrote to you a year ago: forget to juge Israel just because you are famous. You think you know, forget it, just because you are proud to have been in the Territories. I’m not Jewish, I think all those religions especially Christian and Muslim as well as Jewish should give place to meditation and forget about duality. But when I hear you talking about Israel and the Jews, you are still under prejudice in your unconscious. I’ve been working from Morocco to Iran in more then half those countries, it’s all about having a universal view of things. Of course you think you better and you allow yourself to talk for hours. By the way I met Qaddafi in Nigeria in the early 2000 (Roll back malaria meeting in Abuja)

@ 1:28:00 the 2 Russians Roger is referring to is Visili Arkahpov and Stanislav Petrov. It will never not be absolutely hilariously depressing how many people don’t realize the hypocrisy of US politicians condemning other countries like Russia for “threatening nuclear launch” when the only country to ever nuke another country was the US TWICE and WE DIDNT EVEN ADMIT THE NUKE STRIKE UNTIL OVER A WEEK AFTER THE BLAST…….let that sink in y’all, not only is the US the only “nation” to drop nukes but wouldn’t even admit it globally until they saw fit too. That’s beyond criminal by a long shot.

Extinction rebellion is a clown org. They’ve done absolutely nothing to shut down any corporate monopolized owned governments which is the core root of the extinction were in and the source of all suffering and crime. “Either mankind will put an end to war or war will put an end to mankind” let’s not forget war comes in many forms, different battle fields. The mind is a battle field; the heart is a battlefield, and we need to retake that battlefield if humanity is to allow peace and harmony with nature and all life.

Of course everyone should communicate but the reality is that there are many who just don’t want to. Xi from China does not want to communicate, Putin does not, the rulers of Iran do not, and so on and so on. Do you honestly truly believe you can negotiate with these people. If you do why don’t you use your power and influence to meet them and see what you can do.

Great Q's & A's session. We had drills in the 70's of getting under one's desk. Been on the London Underground when alarms were going off, announcer & message board warning 'this is a security alert! please evacuate the station immediately. This is not a drill, repeat, this is not a drill' then the message would repeat. People walked calmly without fuss out the station. Most times is was a hoax, coded bomb warning, or in some cases 'an actual device' in most cases made safe by the army bomb squad.' Only time it got scary was when they found a real bomb at Euston train station, police come running down screaming to take another exit & to avoid being near any glass windows.
Agreed with everything Roger said. But, if he really wants to know the root cause of all the evil in the world, it's satanists and malevolent 'non-humans' running the show. Not religious..! but fully believe Jesus Christ is our Lord Father Himself, that He is coming back Soon!! Satanists & aliens know they've lost the war, so they are trying to take down as many souls as they can gather down into Hell with them, sore losers that they are. I pray to Jesus that Roger & the rest of the Floyd are saved & make it to heaven. Peace.

I guess Roger forgot that China invaded Tibet, killing thousands. And as for his stance on Taiwan, saying China has indeed always "owned" Taiwan, what about when he did his Us and Them tour in Australia and went on stage in an aboriginal flag? Seems he has also conveniently forgotten Taiwan's aboriginal tribes. Monsieur Standards Doubles. And his passion for Arabs in Palestine is a superb stance, but once more he forgets the Uyghur Moslems being persecuted in Xinjiang. Shame.... very inconsistent with those views.
