There are so many nuances to put on the scale: 1) Speed (top speed without the ball, acceleration, top speed with the ball); 2) Dribbling (skills and tricks, body faints and change of direction, ball conduction etc); 3) Shooting (stationary ball, moving ball, shot power, shot accuracy, bending techniques etc); 4) Passes (long distance lobs, short distance lobs, ground passes, tiki-taka reaction etc); 5) Vision (on-field intelligence); 6)Peak power abalities (Brazilian Ronaldo comes to mind as the highest ever peak before injury in 1999) ETC. Theoretically football is a very simple game (just put the ball into the enemy net and don't let it go into your net), but looking deeper it is so analytical and specific, especially in comparing a player (supportive players, hard-carry players, hybrid players etc). Its so crazy that football has so many fans but every one of them seem to look at the pragmatic side of it with such simplicity. And when comparing players they just look at who has more titles. This is a team sport, played 11 vs 11. You can be the best player on the pitch (out of 22 players on it) even if your team has lost the game 0-3.
