i know for me i was thin, gained weight..then lost 115 lbs..and i had very high cheekbones before weightloss (just as she had)... but afterwards i noticed i lost some volume in my cheeks..i had to get some filler (juvederm voluma) to help bring my ORIGINAL looking face back to life..its common practice for many people who have lost massive amounts of weight to get a lil cosmetic touch afterwards.
It's horrible that the plus size community turned on her. The point is to accept all body types. Skinny and plus size. Not start discriminating against one or the other.

Why should the plus-size community embrace somebody who is not plus-sized? It's not about accepting all body types, it's about accepting our own plus-sized body type.
DiDi because us all as humans should accept one another rather big, small, tall or short. We should accept that this woman wasent content with herself and changed herself.
But why is she getting hate when she should be an inspiration instead? I personally think those hating on her need to look at themselves instead because it's not her they are mad at, they are mad at themselves because they want what this woman who used to be like them has.
She's thinner, she's healthy, she's more confident, the people who used to look up to her only used her as a reason to feel accepted at their size, they used her as a reflection of themselves, she's okay to do it, so I should be to. Since she's no longer like them she shattered that illusion for them.
In short they are all jelious because they refuse to better themselves, but thats not what body acceptance is about. It's about being content with yourself and loving yourself and being okay that the woman or man sitting next to you looks different and that's perfectly okay.

plus size can be size 12 which is really not that big. Plus size doesn't mean plus size for women it means plus size for modeling. That being said some plus size models are much bigger sizes. In some companies the minimum is 12 in other it is 14.
But yeah she is still curvy the people hating on her need to chill she got healthy and stopped losing weight at a healthy weight. I mean if she went size zero I can understand them thinking she is doing it for looks and therefor "betraying" them but all she did was become a healthy size, how can you fault someone for that?
she is so beautiful now! The only thing is I feel kinds bad for her because I know how hard it is to find jeans/pants that fit big hips and a tiny waist. It's hard enough to find pants if you have a big bum and large hips and a fairly large waist. I'm size 16 but the hips and the bum never fit and if they do it never fits my waist

The way she ran out onto the stage - IMPOSSIBLE for her 240 lbs heavier. Who wouldn't want that option for anyone?? The problem is social media, it permits, encourages and amplifies the most impulsive, thoughtless comments on any issue.

she's not even super skinny like the girls that usually get skinny shamed. i think she's gorgeous and smart for doing it and those people are just jealous of her for having the willpower and strength to turn her life around.

Some girls/women get skinny shamed if they don't have noticeable breasts, bum and hips. They get told to go eat a burger. The ideal body for women right now is curvy but not overweight, if women don't meet that ideal by being either not curvy enough or when they are too fat they do get criticism.
Women can lose weight but when they don't have the necessary bone structure and body fat distribution pattern needed for a curvy figure there is really nothing (except for plastic surgery) that they can do to become curvy.
Skinny guys can increase their muscle mass, so there is at least something they can do.
They're all butt hurt that she's beautiful. They want an excuse to make themselves feel better about being fat. If she's fat too then great. But if she looses weight they feel like they should to but that goes against their wrong fat positivity beliefs
Ivan not true. Women get skinny shamed too. I know because I am naturally thin have heard it many times. There are even pictures on the internet of curvy women side-by-side with thin women, praising the curvy woman while calling the thin woman “shit” or “unattractive.” Not cool. It is just as bad and hurtful as fat shaming. Especially to be called anorexic or bulimic, when that is not the case. For some women, like myself, we don’t gain weight all that easily.

She's gorgeous. I lost 110 pounds and I know what she was talking about when she said that she couldn't ride on a roller coaster. Before I lost 110 pounds, I wasn't able to get on some of the roller coasters at Cedar Point. But after I lost 110 pounds, I went back to Cedar Point and I was able to get on all the roller coasters. It was a great feeling. I'm so proud of myself.

In my opinion this is ridiculous, can't believe people are still shaming her after she lost the weight. When really, in reality, you really aren't suppose to be overweight. Not fat-shaming but you are suppose to be in a certain range depending on your height, etc. In reality, being overweight is unhealthy, there are so many risks and health issues that you take with being "obese", along with what she was saying towards the end, that she could do things that she couldn't being plus sized. Just because she got help to get healthy and do what is right for herself, she wanted to better herself and just because people don't want to change and think it's okay to be severely overweight, does not give them the right to shame her.

That’s why I m happy she was able to get into a job she loved. It be like being happy for anyone to be able to follow their dreams as a person. She's a lovely woman either way. It's bitchy and hypocritical to only approve of someone if they look one way or the other. People need to stop placing all their identity in one thing, whether it's looks, weight, the diet or lifestyle they follow, or whatever else. At the end of the day it's relationships and interactions that matter. This petty fighting because someone does something differently than you would or looks differently than you expect is stupid.

I do not condone allowing oneself to get overweight or fat to a point of irreversibility. It is that person's problem and responsibility (which this model acknowledged), you know? One of the most miserable things about being fat is how other people treat you - criminals often get treated better. The public would have you believe if you're fat, you can't be active. Or that if you're active you shouldn't be fat. (sometimes you can be very athletic and still have extra pounds so the ridicule never seems to end regardless) If you're out in public trying to be active you get laughed at, stared at, rude comments made at you to your face. The body positivity movement on the outside seems there to help people realize they ARE worthy of love regardless of how they look. It helps people stop being afraid, and stop hurting, to be comfortable enough to go out, be active - the benefits include no longer needing to comfort-eat, helps them battle depression symptoms, helps folks get out of the house. The downside is that once you reach that point and you start losing weight actively or just passively from not being afraid of going out anymore - that supportive community seems to get angry. They question whether the person is losing weight JUST to please others or fit some societal ideal . So that's the dark side of the movement and it's really unfortunate. This woman did an amazing thing for herself. A life style change is a massive undertaking that takes a lot of discipline. Dramatic weight loss often leaves people with folds of loose skin and there are so many costs and complications that can happen when trying to fix that. It's a real battle. I don't understand why any hate would be directed her way.

She was embarrassed she didn't fit into one seat. What did she do? Did she whine about it publicly? Did she demand airlines accomodate to her bizarre size? No! SHE LOST WEIGHT!!! Because not fitting into seats anymore is NOT discrimination, it means you have taken it too far with the amounts of food you ate, you have put your health at risk and you have allowed yourself to get to a size at which you are just TOO big!

I mean, she's my idol because she showed me that being big doesn't make you ugly. But also because she does everything to stay healthy.
I look a lot like her from before, same face, same weight, and I exercise constantly but I can't afford gastric sleeve or any surgery, weight loss goes very slowly, definitely a metabolism thing because I haven't had any junk food in ten years but I'm still over 400.
And while I could've been upset that she'd lost the weight; I'm just happy she's healthy.
