Coming back to this 10 years later and I've never forgotten this. I was 11 and remember my dad waking me up and practically throwing me into the closet while the sirens went off. The weatherman was doing his thing on the TV until one of the producers interrupted him and said they all had to take shelter immediately; a few years later, my dad told me that's when he knew we might be screwed. Apparently one of the funnel clouds was extremely close to our house. My brother somehow managed to sleep through the entire thing! It was such a scary night.
I was there when it happened. As a matter in fact it was right over my moms car, and we were driving, but I missed it because I fell asleep unfourtunatly. The good news is it didn't touch down.

Amarillo has an entire ACA and Federal Signal system
now with Whelen
@@blueguycommenteryt7054 Not really.
Now with just 2001-130s and 508s
I hear either a Federal model 5/7T or SD-10 along with some ACA Cyclones.
You hear I think an SD-10 and a Cyclone
P-15
Or a dual tone banshee
My grandma lives near Soncy and IH-40
I remember this
Same
Same
Whoa, the sirens changed! They're higher pitched here than they were in the 90s.
This siren heard is an ACA Banshee. It was likely installed in the 80s. Amarillo had a bunch of different models.
Till they replaced them with pieces of sh*t
@@sirenfan97no Banshees were ever in Amarillo from what I can tell. The one heard is a FS SD-10 and a slight tone of an ACA Cyclone.
Hate those sirens it happend today but not a serious one
James Castaneda I was there when it happened
