Intermittent fasting and these suggestions will fix it all.
My mother was extremely difficult. I felt relief when she died. I miss her in some ways still. I'm 62 and stick to a schedule. I pick up my grand dog every day and walk for an hour. Next I do errands and weight lift. I'm healthier now than I've ever been. My husbands boss thought I was 40 years old.
🎉🎉🎉
Yes!! 😊
Schedules are great! 👍
Great achievement. ❤

the worst chronic condition is thinking about your age and the surprise of ageism. I'm ready to go back to my 40's.
Exactamente por eso no creo en doctores, creo más en resultados, sigan vídeos de personas mayores con la salud y cuerpo que desean, sigan sus pasos y verán los mismos resultados, ejemplo Ernestine Shepard y mas 👋🫶🏼

Glad I found a podcaster that also advise abt devotion and spiritual discipleship. Thank you!❤
I've been waiting for this one !! Thank you. And prayers to your mom, such a difficult time.
If you keep eating sugar, nothing will help..
I wish my doctor was as knowledgeable as Dr. Axe
He is well intentioned but nothing he says is backed by science. Herbs do not fix menopause. Hormone replacement therapy does.
Wow! I really got so much more out of this than I thought I would! Very informative, very practical, and much appreciated!
Thank you Dr Axe for sharing this wonderful content ❤
Thank you, Dr Axe. Much appreciated.
Lovely to see you back doc Axe
That's all true. I'm 55 and practice many of these things. I feel fine. I have no pains. 2 kiwis 2 hrs before bedtime helps sleep. I don't eat sugar, limit salt, no white bread/rice/pasta. No soda, juice, alcohol. No junk food. I have all my teeth. I take supplements and protein powder. I add spicy mustard on my salad, which has turmeric. I drink 8 cups of water/day. This year I started taking gelatin from eating Jelo with no sugar to work on keeping my hair. I exercise and walk. I have no kids, but I'm divorcing.
Do you regret not having children?

This was very helpful and thank you @Dr. Josh Axe like the story about your grandmother. I can relate to past experiences of my own.
Don't forget k2 with your vitamin D.

Not a fan of,it coagulates your blood an in a society filled with/spike proteins ( covid clot shots) the last thing u need is coagulated blood ,can u say stroke lol

Excellent Thank you
I don't believe in social connection and longevity myth. It is extremely hard to make friends as you get older and I've seen plenty of older people who are single live alone. Money and health are more important than who you hangout with.
Great video
It’s also the increase of iron as your period diminishes. Most women suffer some form of ANEMIA then all of sudden during menopause your iron stores start to increase. And, that change takes a minute to get used to because before that you were always 🥶
Love Dr axe ❤thank u for amazing information and knowledge🙏🙏🙏🙏
As a 49 year old I see people who I grew up with who have been smoking for 35 years and also excessive alcohol consumption. Those two will age you faster than anything. Some of those people at 49 look close to 60. On the other hand, some 49 year Olds who took care of themselves look 30-35.
I believe from my own experience with various doctors is the failure to take blood pressure correctly. We really have to ask are these studies accurate as it being their blood pressure are taken correctly.
In every doctor visited, they don't follow the protocol of correctly taking it. They don't ask when was the last meal eaten prior to arriving to the visit because this would result in wrong blood pressure reading. They don't give you a time to relax before taking your blood pressure. That causes wrong blood pressure reading and they fail to not talk to you while taking your blood pressure. That will cause incorrect blood pressure and failing to have both your feet flat on the floor as well as arm on a desk leveled. That too causes incorrect blood pressure readings.
So, we have to ask are these blood pressure studies being done under correct conditions.
When I was in my fifties and got result of high blood pressure . I got teas that lower high blood pressure, rest and tonics from the health shop. Buchu was known to me from the shelves for heart or kidneys and there was also other tonics at health shops for kidneys and heart. Many years I think someone told me high blood pressure has to do something with the kidneys .I then got something that assist the kidneys .I was a t least 3 years ago at the doctor and has my blood pressure to be checked ( and also drank olive oil on empty stomach )
I think what some people forget is that the average age of passing is 76. Mid-life is around 38.
That's American stats; in Canada it's 83

i eat a can of sardines in evoo almost everyday, as a "snack". i think that takes care of Omega 3 and epa/dha(fish oil)

Thanks, Dr. Josh, for sharing this topic. Very helpful. I exercise at the Y 3 times a week.
Ahhh, the one I’ve been waiting for. 😂
Your videos need chapters.
Do more on people at 50 or after!!!! Exercise???
Seriously you have to eat for your blood type and when I started eating fruits my blood pressure drop like a rock it's amazing😂 we need those natural sugars everyday.😅
I always believed that stories of "spontaneous combustion" were a myth until I experienced hot flashes...LOL Mine were so bad there were times I would be stripping clothes off as I headed to the bathroom for a cold shower...
Hot flashes are no joke...lol
Yeeaahhhh l am NOT laughing out loud about my hot flashes
Get your iron checked before taking iron vitamins or vitamins with iron. You may have high iron and not know it!
I only eat organic and whole food. I never shop in any aisles. No food created by someone else. And use healthy oils, I.e. avocado and extra virgin olive oil, and exercise daily
Im 53 feel fitter now than ever . You can do it at any age . People think im way younger but it takes discipline too
Dr Axe. Is the Keto diet ok for a woman in her 50?
Thank you Dr Axe,would you please tell us what is your opinion about carnivore diet? I am really appreciate your help 👍✌️🌈🌹👏
He said eat grass fed beef, red meat.
@@alexthomas4689 Ok,thank you for sharing.
Hello Dr Axe, l did a gallbladder removal last year. Can l take fish oil and how much?
Mentor and disciple yourself! I’m so used to giving to my kids and parents, I need to take care of ME!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
You look amazing at 50
To all peri and menopausal women: (I’m one, too). Please see Dr. Andrew Neville’s video “How to heal miserable menopausal symptoms: The adrenal link.” You have to get off that destructive adrenal killing & hormone destroying drug, caffeine. That’s #1. And no, carnivore isn’t the answer-I was strict carnivore for 5 years and it totally jacked up my gut & adrenals. I wish you well.
I quit caffeine 4 months ago and I can’t believe how much better I feel! No more heart palpitations, my anxiety is lower, and the dark bags under my eyes (that I thought were genetic) are gone. I definitely don’t look as tired all the time.
@@Masqueesha That’s awesome! How old are you, please? And do you have adrenal fatigue? (I do, it’s a NIGHTMARE) I’m on day 70 no caffeine. Going through HELL.
@@goolash9991 I’m 49 and I’ve never been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue, but I definitely abused my poor adrenals my whole adult life with caffeine and alcohol. I still have a glass of wine every now and then, but I’ll never go back to caffeine.
Thank you! I will check that out 🙏
After 60 here, should we include creatine and Taurine?
so as a woman, how many units of vit. D should i take????
I'm allergic to turmeric. Do you have any substitutes for it?
Okay, this is embarassing, but as soon as I started taking Steve Gundry's Might Reds (gummies), EVERY DAY, I now go EV. DAY. It is fantastic!!
I am 52 I like wine 🍷 and Guinness.
Gym supplements chicken and broccoli and Brussel sprouts help. Also I guess.
Amen 🙏
Unfortunately, I'm allergic to all milk and cheese. Cannot eat yogurt. I'm allergic to all beans/legumes, so I only eat Haddock fish (basically a pescaterian) I wear a drug and food allergy medical alert bracelet since I have G6pD Deficiency. I'm 66 years old and my Medicare Advantage plan via AETNA is stating I have no medical reason to enable me to see a Nutritionist. They say if I'm not in end-stage Renal Failure, Diabetic, and obese I do not qualify to see a Nutritionist.
What magnesium citrate would you suggest Dr.? Please reply. Thank you so very much 😊
Pure Encapsulations Magnesium Citrate
❤❤❤❤
This was Excellent!!!👍🙌🏼
I’m 64 and I am doing those things you suggested!! It does make a HUGE difference!!
You’re a Blessing Dr Axe!!
Wonderful to listen to this video. You are so much true, lots of women start to suffer from osteoporosis/osteopenia, I have been recently diagnosed and somehow I always enjoyed cycling, swimming, going for a little walk. Now I started going to the gym. I LOVE your advice on food and supplements. However what touched me the most ? Soon I turn 57 and I still feel very young at heart. I LOVE to share my wisdom as I wished there had been people who did the same when I was younger. Since 2 years I teach chair yoga to seniors. They are AMAZING and even though they are older I LOVE to share some life wisdom with them as I realize, our society does not 😢 prioritize older people anymore. Time for us to take excellent care of ourselves so we can keep doing all the things we love in life. Love to watch more of your videos 🙏😇
I thought that post menopause, women would need LESS iron, since periods no longer help eliminate too much iron.
I ate steamed vegetables, cod, did flax seed oil for health, with unknowingly being of help with (late start) of menopause symptoms, which I never, at least the not hot flashes.
For the algorithm 😎
The voice volume is turned off. Can't hear you 😢
I have become cold since i've been Minute pause
That is why not to retire besides making money connecting with people socializing is impt.not to feel isolated feeling lively 🇵🇭🇺🇸
If I'm taking your multivitamin for immune health which has the B complex vitamins in it do I need a seperate B complex??
You think love is not a feeling. You are incorrect love is a emotion feeling we create and then its a choice to who you love.
Wu Wei wisdom channel here on you tube explains this really well with facts sense and logic.
Your comments you should stay with somebody no matter what is terrible advice.
I use to follow and be a fan but know better now..
sooo depressing :(
I wake up early in the morning 5am I follow millets dieat , my weight 56 no sugar no out side food we prefer home made food recently I have been taking omega 3 fish oil supplement+multi vitamin tablet and sport+intermittent fasting+mind Full meditation with positive self talk+gratitude+affirmation+social services i am enjoying 53 I won state level gold medal 🏅 i am caring my father 84 and control financial management My whole family in gym workout everyday
perhaps you could consider talking about the more updated and recent research on hormone replacement therapy and how the WHI has been mostly debunked and it is a travesty that women have been denied supportive therapy for so long - and it does extend longevity by three years according to the book estrogen matters by Avril Bloom.
YES!!
YES. Also Dr Mary Claire she is fantastic 🌟
🙏🙏🙏🙏🩸☀️🤲😇
What about the inflammation caused by dairy?
I'm going through Perimenopause. I didn't have too many hot flashes but so much moodiness. Out of my character. I take your women's hormones but still so moody
Take HRT, forget about supplements . Supplements work for a short time but when hormones decline even more it’s end of primrose oil and beginning of pharmaceutical HRT.
@@mihaeladog7187you are right about supplements for peri and menopause. They work for a period of time, then are not enough. Then you need more. Make sure they are bio identical from a doctor thru a compounding pharmacy and not the synthetic ones from the doctors. Most doctors don’t really know how to do them right. Find one or someone who does functional medicine that really knows how to do them. Takes research but well worth the improvement for quality of life.

Cut out SUGAR and processed foods and bad oils.. All those aches and pains will disappear. I am just beginning in my 50’s. Retirement? Hell no…. Men and women go into a decline when they stop working..
How old are you, anyway? Are over 50?
I guess you don’t subscribe to getting most of the nutrients you need from your diet, worrying.
Dr Josh, got tired of listening about the supplements, especially when you started to talk about the nutrition. How about suggesting to have the foods that have all these vitamins and minerals? Stopped watching after 6 mins.
Maybe you should have kept watching past 6 minutes

You earned my unsub for recommending so many supplements.
We live in a fallen world. Our food supply is poisoned and lacks the proper nutrients in many cases.
@@rjthomasindyusa so, does that mean you live on supplements?
Ridiculous 😂
@@DVB1848 The guy recommended some supplements. How does that escalate to living on supplements?
Some of us need to supplement our diet. I developed multiple issues after Covid and I have the MTHFR gene mutation. Supplements will probably be a part of my nutrional profile for the rest of my life.
Supplement until we fix the food!
You lost me at turmeric. Do your research on the side effects of turmeric.
