Dr. Josh Axe do you recommend the ketogenic diet or intermittent diet while breastfeeding? If not then what do you recommend. I watch you weekly and you haven't touched too much on what's safe while pregnant or breastfeeding. Would love info on that

+Mica Jones - Google "Is ketosis safe during pregnancy?" and you'll get the answer: It's incorrect, but widely accepted, that ketosis during pregnancy is harmful to a developing baby. ... The majority of studies on ketosis are actually looking at diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) or starvation ketosis, not nutritional ketosis (induced by eating a low amount of carbohydrates)
Usually better or at least quicker to ask Dr. Google than Dr. Axe for specific advice ;)

Many years ago my husband and I became patients of Dr. Atkins. I had blood sugar control issues and my husband had malignant hypertension. After 8 weeks on the Atkins program we both lost a lot of weight, my blood sugar stabilized and my husband was able to go off his meds. We did take natural supplements along with our diet change and we gradually added good carbs like more veggies and berries. It worked! The first 3 days were the most difficult in ridding ourselves of carb addiction but after that we experienced energy surges and well being.

Great video, Dr. Axe! I did learn that eating grilled chicken on raw salad is not a compatible food combination, though. I found out cooked meat combines well with only vegetables that are cooked--however, when cooked meat is combined with raw vegetables, the "raw" vegetables alkalize the stomach and neutralize the digestive acids needed to digest the meat.

I have one or two things to do before meal I end up eating my breakfast smoothies at past 11am and 12noon. Also I eat dinner btw 5-6pm latest 7pm and I like to snack before bedtime. I snack healthy duo, and I am in my best shape ever. I eat protein, healthy fat and fiber, tons of herbs and spices, leafy green and low carbs. BLife look up vegan athletes, bodybuilders Etc. then make sure you have a good biome in your gut eating things like jicama, and a variety of other fruits and vegetables will give you a good healthy base for the proper bacteria to live in you which is a huge part in the main part of your whole entire digestive abilities and is basically your immune system. It also affects your brain! I mean that it's another joke proper bacteria versus improper the tests are amazing to watch people take them before and after. look into a higher vegetable diet you can eat endlessly and try Raw! You can juice and taken so much nutrients and day but always make sure you have that giant salad that has a big pile of chickpeas made into a chicken or tuna type salad but I just whisk olive oil and vinegar and some spices very fast together and you pour the olive oil in the thinnest stream and it will thicken in the blender or just get a good raw mail at the health food store that's vegan but make some sort of protein Pile in the middle of that salad made from vegetables and remember some of our biggest animals that we waste our land growing their food so we can eat them wasting water and land and filling Everything full of chemicals they naturally eat grass and Grains so remember protein is an interesting myth it's actually the amino acid profile that you're using not just the word protein! I went 37 years with no virus during that time I took care of people who had viruses so I could clear them up so they could go to work the next day and very good at what I do so I would go to the minute somebody felt like they were going to get a cold or flu that funny feeling in your chest like something is pulling its adrenalynn trying to fight. weather herbal concoctions that I have invented I had them cleared up by morning making them take this every hour driving them crazy but they never had the virus catch it ran like hell! don't get caught up in that protein myth you'll end up with renal failure! I know somebody who owns a fitness center of North of me and the difference between the people who use animal protein and all the powders and the people who are vegan and use Whole Foods and if they do use a powder it's just ground up Whole Foods. the difference in their glow is amazing one looks tight and uneven and a waxy. The other looks bright and glowing and just so much fresher their skin is moisturize did not just oiled its moisture from the inside not added. Enough of the lecturing look into it one of our strong men from a few years ago who won the World Championship was vegan and so many extreme athletes are vegan. I have been for 53 years of wouldn't be alive for the things that have happened to me if I wasn't I was born with a very Wicked autoimmune disease that nobody has actually live through it would be a SIDS baby. but here I am! thanks again mom! and the wonderful older doctor who grew up in a house full of midwives in the 1800's as a as a tiny guy he's the one who got me out rear-end first with a cord around my neck and a little room and our town. at a time when Hospital births and sterilizing women like their filth was the only way when they were giving birth. I will apologize for the poor grammar and punctuation I used voice to text and I cannot see at this point because I haven't been to bed it's now almost 5:10 a.m. and I haven't slept! I have a funeral coming up for a dear friend and I'm going to see people I haven't seen for about 40 years. And they get a little wound up when there's going to be 700 to 800 people attending. yikes! Take care! do your research on the subject I just tried to explain in my exhausted stupor.

Pop Up intermittent fasting really works - just gets that bit of extra ‘thick skin’ away that just seems to stick - and, you don’t need to cancel out any particular foods.
Also hot water with squeezed lemon in the morning. Healthy fats, and yeah sugar and sugar containing foods should be minimal.

I bought kale salad and I will add the cooked salmon from my grocery store. 2 meals a day has become my norm. My $1 is selling a great green tea detox. Eating very little starch right now. I bought unsweetened almond milk.

New friends guessed my age at late 40s last night. I will be 71 this month. Going for mall walk and up a big hill today.

THANK YOU Dr.Josh Axe for these great videos, I hear so much about diet, Being a Vegetarian your helpful videos are so true. Being Disabled from an Auto Accident with a Drunk Driver and 7 herniated discs has changed my life and workout routine, I do walk and ride my bike but your diet seems the most helpful, I sent all your videos to myself and subscribed to your videos, I was healthy and thin all my life with a good diet 6ft. 185 lbs. Last two years not getting the exercise I gained 12 lbs. and I hate it. I guess being 69 years old should not stop anyone, and I am going to check your other videos.. THANK YOU!
