  • Hey guys, welcome back to another video. Today I am unboxing and reviewing my brand new Remote Control Maverick Strada SC truck. Its a great car for the money; I got this car for £119. The battery it comes with doesn't last that long, maybe 15 mins, so definitely recommend getting more powerful batteries. The battery this car comes with takes 6 hours to charge using a trickle charger. Recommend getting a fast charger. Thanks for watching, please Like and Subscribe and I will see you in the next video. Bye!

I had one of these when I challenged myself to a budget build, I put a goolrc brushless motor and esc combo in it for £30 and a faster servo and it was silly fast! One word of warning you will snap the chassis where the front bumper meets it! I ended up buying a ECX torment which is in another league for bashing

Hiya mate thanks for the great video! would you say the trucks worth it as a first-time buyer? I'm struggling between a few brands and wondering should I spend double and get a better brand truck or is this good enough for a bit of fun? cheers

Jbaker Hey dude, I’d say that this truck is one of the best budget beginner hobby grade models it’s got a high quality build and it’s pretty nippy perhaps around 30 mph. Battery life on the default battery is not too great but you can always just buy a more powerful battery for it to last longer and possibly even drive faster. The reason I brought this truck is because at the time I was young and therefore had little money to spend. If you’re looking for a bit of fun then yes I would say it’s a good cheap car for that job but investing in a traxxas slash truck for a bit more money, if you’re willing to pay that, wouldn’t be a bad shout. A more expensive truck would obviously be faster stronger and would have a greater battery life. Let me know if you make a decision and what truck you end up buying. Thanks for your comment means a lot to me.
      Cheers
      Luke

Had a friend that bought this ,did one small jump ,took a tumble and it bent the shock towers waayyy to easily . I don’t think it’s very durable

Alex Foyle : Yes I can imagine. It’s definitely more of a budget beginner truck to get into the hobby. I guess this weakness is reflected through the price. I’ve since upgraded to a more expensive larger truck (jlb cheetah). Much faster and much stronger however have still had issues with parts that I have to replace. It’s just inevitable when bashing the cars hard. Even the toughest brands (Arrma and Traxxas) struggle to hold up to a good bashing session.

Luke Linney if you grab the back wheels and turn one does the other turn the same way
