wait what was the release date for 762x39, I missed it I think
I wish psa had free shipping on ammo purchases over $200 like other websites. Shipping price determines where i buy ammo from
Same here
They usually have free shipping on any orders over 150
@hondaservicecenter I have never had this happen to me. Over 20 orders $250+.
One thing I love about PSA is that they are always looking out for the American civilians!
There’s definitely going to be demand. Looking forward to a new American made 5.45 ammo🤘
Same
I'm stoked. I'll finally buy PSA AK105 when I can actually buy ammo. I've bought around the gun simply because of ammo supply
Same
Me too
I freaking love PSA.
Next question. Will PSA be selling their primers to the public?
I just paid $98 with tax for a single box of small pistol primers.
Good question
Eventually. Not for a good while.

They frequently sell out of .308 and 5.56 but it comes back in stock within a few days. If you are patient and check back often you will get the ammo you need.
Those who follow my Locals community get frequent alerts when it is in stock 👍
The main question is WHEN?! Months ago we were told June/July. Then November/December.
My AR's love steel case ammo. I'd rather shoot brass, but price is a factor now. Thanks for taking time to make these videos. It's nice to get a quick update from one source.
All my ARs gobble up steel cased ammo. Never had any issues with it. But Barnaul was definitely the best. 🤠
Cool! No prob 👍
Zero with full power 5.56, fight with full power 5.56, and train with cheap ammo.
Man I shot one round of .223 steel cased and I had to bang out the shell! It’s a piston driven Ruger 556, I can only use brass in it. My S&W eats anything it just wants to eat
Lube the bcg and the bolt lugs. Preferably with thick grease. If it's a new rifle, give it between 100-500 rounds break in and it might work better with steel. Use a paint can opener to take out a stuck case. @@gunztommiegunz
My White River Armory AR runs steel case with zero issues. Unlike many others, WRA does not void their excellent warranty for using sc ammo. I got mine at the Indy1500 gunshow where they’ve been for years. I like that I deal with the actual owners and they stand behind everything they make.
Yeah I've never had an AR that won't run steel cased ammo
Be looking forward to the 5.45 steel case ammo and the 7.62..
Be nice if they would make some 7.62 x 25 pistol ammo.
I bet they will
They seem to be catering towards the combloc calibers so I would expect the 7.62 Tok.
That’s great news!!! And what I love about PSA is that they always seem to be reasonable with prices!!
Well not anymore I just checked their website and they are not reasonable at all I can get it shipped cheaper than what they sell it for and AAC ammo isn’t proven yet so I was expecting lower prices… boy was I wrong 😑
If it shoots like Barnaul steel case stuff. I'd like a whole pallet of it.
Shit even if its like tula or wolf id be happy. Barnaul would be great.
I can only hope it'll at least be on par with Barnaul. We've desperately needed domestic steel-cased ammo manufacturers since the Russian ammo ban. Hopefully PSA's will be good stuff and they can expand their factory to keep up with the high demand in time.
My pawnshop had 10 boxes of 500 rounds of Barnaul 223 for 300. I got one was it a good deal? If so I want to get more.
@@loganj7783wait you paid $300 for 500rds of steel case 223??? You DEFINITELY did NOT get a good deal if that’s the case. Should be able to buy a case(1000rds) of steel case 223 for $350
My PSA AR eats up steel case all the time! 2A, seriously, thanks for this update! Keep up the awesome work. Hopefully, you get your truck back up and on the road.
My PSA AR loves steel case. It's had mostly steel case since i got it. In my son's BCA it can fit a hair tight but it cycles it fine. He does run mostly brass in that particular one.
If PSA/AAC makes steel cased copper jacket 5.56 NATO, not .223 rem, 55 grain ammo I will buy it over any another ammo out there. I would love to see this in HPBT as well.
It's sure about time we had someone big out there looking out for us little people. I'll definitely telling my local FFL to start buying in to keep at the shop. Thanks 2A for the heads up and getting the news out.
Thank you for sharing this information. I wonder if PSA will offer the steel case ammo in “spam cans” someday.
Love your videos and live streams. I saw your first one 1.5 months ago and subscribed. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
I have two ARs, that I built with uppers from two different companies. One happily shoots steel cased ammo with no issues. The other won't cycle it. So, the one only gets brass cased ammo and it's happy. The other one is happy all the time.
Steel should run fine in ARs but you should lube the chamber so you don’t get a stuck case. If it doesn’t run steel, it doesn’t deserve brass
Yes, my AR shoots steel case just fine and the money I save doing it buys me 2 uppers.
So stoked on this news! Thanks
Love AAC ammo. Tried the 77 grain otm and I shot dimes at 100 yards with my DDM4V7 pro with a Primary 2-10. I also run it in my 300 blackout. I’m in of they start sell 7.62x39. Thanks for the video
Nice! You are welcome 👍
Man, if PSA made an AS Val and/or VSS Vintorez with a faux suppressor, firing 9x39mm, that would go on my wishlist. Add a PPSh-41 with a legal length barrel (in the shroud) to the wishlist. The 6.5 Grendel AK's they're going to be making sound exciting, too.
Yeah i'd likely get one as well. Who knows... that said Slagga a US company is working on one but it is slow going. I hope it comes to fruition, but there is at least one working proto we've seen in video which is fantastic.
@@mikhailgregovszki7478where’s the video at?
Thank you for your research bringing us good news!
PSA fanboy here. They have been very good to me. Customer service has been great. Take my money.
"The current former vice president...." 😆🤣
LOL
Is there anyway I can get my old metals , brass, copper, lead ... into their metal recycling stream? Do they a metal recycling stream that helps their resuorces?
11:04 - When I first got into ARs in 2015 I only used steel cased bear 223. It worked fine but it definitely had accelerated barrel wear. The Ballistic Advantage barrel was pretty much shot out after about 5000-6000 rounds and the Gastube/block/key were getting badly fouled with a hard rock like residue. Accuracy went from 2.5 inch groups at 100 yards for the first 5000ish rounds to 15 inch groups around 6000 rounds. At the time it was $0.19 a round for steel cased 223 and $0.33 cents a round for for M193 or M855 5.56. So it did save about $750 which was more than enough to replace the barrel, gasblock, gastube, and BCG with like $350 left over. Had about 10-20 failures over that period. Totally worth it if you just wanted to plink and save a bunch. Accuracy wasnt great and reliability had an occasional hickup but you did save quite a bit in the end.
I really hope it matches the russian priced ammo
The 5.45X39 is probably going to have the biggest impact. My AK, that was lost in a tragic boating accident, was remiss to have to stay in the safe on only be shot a couple of times a year, would have been thrilled. 762 stuff is still available and agree more used, but the 545 is more dire. Regarding steel case out of an AR, YEAH we had to do that through several of the ammo scares. My ARs didn't die. Rather they jumped overboard to try and save my AK.....
This is gonna make PSA a fortune.
I get all my 300 blackout and 223 from AAC! Plus all my AR parts are from PSA!!
I’m a reloader. I always police my brass and ensure the practice is ok before I shoot. I need every casing back!
Good stuff thank you 2a edu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No problem 👍
Yes, I have both brass and steel case. I will run steel case in my AR a good AR can handle it.
I will be ordering a case of 5.45x39 as soon as I can get it. If it tests out in my rifle, I will be ordering more. Once production is ramped up, will PSA be offering a 5.45 barrel for its AR-15s? I for one love the combination and would put a couple on my Christmas list!
Also, mark another vote for 7.62x25 and 9x18, if that's a future option.
This was great news and information. Thanks
No prob 👍
Most manufacturers are coming out with steel cased ammo, but so far it's actually made in Bulgaria or Romania.
Tula introduced the range friendly, "copper" ammo around 2000. I still have a ton with 2003-2004 lot numbers. 🤠
Will they make soft point ammo for 7.62x39, or FMJ?
I have shot a little Wolf and a little more Tula steel case with my AR's. I bought 1000 rds of Tula back when it was cheap. Still have about 600 rds. in an ammo can. Just in case.
My AR guns run well on .223 steel case.
God Bless PSA and God Bless America.
👍
2A I enjoy watching videos. I have a friend that's from Michigan . Brian and his Mother Judy worked with me . I visited Brian in Hillman , MI. I even helped his father David move back to Hillman from Tyndall. Are you Brian older Brother? Brian owned and operated Benac Outdoors in Tyndall, SD .
Thank you for this video!
You are welcome! I have some of the 7.62x39 coming in a couple days. Stay tuned....
Nice! Now I can consider getting an AK in 545.
I am going to stick with 5.56 and 7.6x39 5.45 offers no additional advantages to the common traditional American cartages.
I shoot nothing but steal case out of my ar15. I have had no issues.
PSA is beast and I try to buy their products or buy from their website vs other sites. Support them who support your rights .
I agree! If you join my Locals community, I share links to PSA, which help keep this channel going, and PSA as well.
From what I understand about steel case and AR's is that its hard on the extractor and they are more likely to get stuck in a dirty chamber. I believe this is one of the features of high end barrels vs standard barrels due to a polished chamber. But I am assuming a standard barrel chamber can also be polished.
Positive information,Thanks 0:23
No prob 👍
PSA needs to make steel cased 9mm after they get the other calibers out the way. I hope there 545x39 and 762x39 are lacquer coated steel cased rounds. I definitely prefer it over regular steel cased but I ain't picky I will take any available 545x39 ammo being produced. I hate not being able to run my 545x39 aks like I used to beable to
Why lacquer? As opposed to the polymer coating? I thought most people complained the lacquer stuff got sticky in a hot gun. I don't ever really recall having issues with it myself but I know I read about that more than once.
Lacquer resists rust 100 times better than "poly coated" But it can stick too.
@@2aEdu no doubt brother thanks for the continued visits to PALMETTO STATE ARMORY. And keeping us informed about the types of ammo and what how they are going to be made of. Because besides your information. I've been hearing down the pipeline that psa will be making 545 and 762. But never heard when or if they still had it in motion or not. But in my oppinion I prefer lacquer coated ammo as much as I do brass. But would 100% rather run steel cased thru my aks. But definitely have had my fingers crossed hoping someone would produce 545x39 for us.
@@2aEdu what can stick? The rust or stick in the chamber
@@mikhailgregovszki7478 I've run thousands and thousands of rounds of lacquer coated ammo thru my aks thru the years. And not once I've had the coating melt off and stick. Even running high round count courses. I've had my aks so hot there smoking and it never has been a issue. But lacquer coated rounds are just as slick as brass cased from my experience. And another reason is usually lacquer coated ammo is military grade and loaded alot hotter than commercial grade plain grey steel rounds. And your guns run alot cleaner with the lacquer coated rounds. Your internals don't get half as dirty as non lacquer coated. It's safe to say the inside of your guns no matter the caliber. You have to clean your gun 3 times more running non lacquer coated compared to laquer coated. Lacquer coated is the way to go in my oppinion. But I've seen people talking crap about it too. But I've never seen it between me and all the people I shoot with
Really surprised PSA said ZERO about this at SHOT this week. Glad I found this video. I was worried. Glad I found your video. Also: Almost certain they will be branded as 'Soviet Arms' ammo. There is a listing for the 7.62x39 on PSA's website, out of stock of course, but it's in a Soviet Arms box, plus they did show mock boxes and rounds at SHOT last year.
Thanks bro for the update!
No problem 👍
Finally some good news!! Thanks for sharing!
No prob 👍
There is a huge demand. They will sell out soooo fast
They are a fantastic company.
Great information that I haven't asked, but have been thinking about sence the sale of vista outdoor.
Thanks!
Great news, and I've been wondering about it. Now, how about finding out a release date on their announced StG-44 reproduction rifles?
My AR'S will run steel but personally I only run it in my AK'S and SKS'S
It says Soviet arms on the ammo box on the PSA advertisement so I'm not sure but I would think it's called Soviet arms
Yeah I'm not sure calling it soviet arms is the best idea. I mean plenty of us will be fine but I also think that may scare some people away. Maybe have two brands? I don't know.... I say just use the same AAC or even PSA brand, the community will spread the word and make it known if it is good stuff.
Since you're already making the parent case, why not the obvious next progression into 6.5 grendel and 6mm ARC!?!
this good news, I've reloaded over 44years but as brass wares out,.especially the military surplus calibers brass extremely hard to get for reloading my collection I'm overwhelmed about the 7.62 ×54 Russian. I know the box primered steel cases can be reloaded but concerned how many loadings I could get .plus primers. I would be absolutely wonderful if we could buy ammo, brass, bullets, primers directly from the company otherwise they will.get price gouged to death and horded and would we really be any better off.at least affordable to the masses. we will wait and see.papa wishing you well 😊
Great news !
If ranges are anything like airsoft fields, the field rules seem to be a result of insurance requirements.
I've put tons of Tula and Wolf steel .223 through my AR's and only had one stuck case on a new cheap barrel. Polished the chamber and it never happened again.
I was surprised to see their price on the steel 7.62x39 is right down around the lowest price stuff you can find on ammoseek, that's a good sign even though it's not in stock. Im sure it'll take quite a while before they are able to keep it in stock regularly with as twitchy as everyone is worrying about shortages and bans and elections and all that happy stuff.
Yeah. I got a notification that the PSA stuff was in stock. It was gone when I read the email an hour later.
@@2aEduI signed up for an email update when it gets back in, Im looking forward to trying it. PSA has been killing it lately.
How about components for reloading? Bullets and primers?
This is GREAT news!
Great news.
Hopefully they start to pump some 5.56 out again. The Columbia store has been empty of 5.56 for a over a month now. Plenty of 300blk at the best prices around though.
Oh, they partnered with AAC ammo, good stuff.
Great info.
Thanks man!
Very nice
Thanks 👍👍
No prob 👍
Awesome! looking forward to it... I hope and expect it to be a little cheaper than brass cased, but it may not be at the beginning. If I can get a case of 545 for less than 556 ammo that will be super excellent.
Then I'm dreaming perhaps but in a year or two the unicorn 939 will be available and maybe slagga will be finishing up their VSS clone. Hey a man can dream.
Despite the dream I have 762 both the 39 and 54R guns, and I have a Makarov so i'd be buying that ammo for sure as well.
I hope so too!
Thank you for the great info. Maybe someone already asked this question but I didn’t see any comments on it. Do you know the bullet diameter that they plan to load in the 7.62x39 cartridges? Some ammo companies load .308 and the foreign ammo tends to measure .310 or .311.
Thank you.
I see what they say on rang fires because I was hog hunting and saw like a tracer like thing happening in low light
My county owned range forbids steel cased ammo because they say it damages chambers. They are seriously that dumb and biased.
Most calibers that are manufactured with a steel cased round are chambered for a firearm that those county officials would like to ban.
@2A Edu I hopped on patreon yesterday. Still unable to get on locals. Go figure very frustrated
🤞🤞🤞 can't wait
Interesting video
I am always looking for new 7.62x39 ammo to shoot
When I am not looking to use my Brass cased reloads
LOL I still have several unopened cases of Norinco 7.62x39 ammo
Me too, I have close to 10K rounds of un opened tins that have been sitting in the corner of my garage since the late 80's early 90's.
@@mikehenry4743no not oin the garage!😮😵
I'm interested in seeing the price
Please do more positive videos like you use to do. We only live once.
I do tons of positive videos. We were having a lot of fun in my Locals livestream last night. Joking around and having a blast.
Except for James Bond--he only lives twice.
Where we at with the release of this ammo?
CZcams unsubbed me so I just subbed again.
Thank you!
Aww man PSA has aac "Soviet Arms" 7.62x39 listed, but out of stock. 🤔 I hope I get a chance to ordernsome soon. Haha
PSA AR15S Eat Steel case. Atleast mines does
My wife's M&P15 has lived on a steady diet of steel cased. AR bros are just weird about steel cased for no reason.
Psa is the best. For many reasons!!!!! 🎉
I agree!
Does anyone have any insight on what the delay is in getting this rolled out?
I shoot steel 556 out of my Wolf A1 uppers. I have several piston operated 556 rifles and they mostly do ok with steel case ammo. DI 556 rifles not so much. I had a Valmet 556 AK and it did not like steel case.
Did they receive any gov grants for their ammo production?
What about powder though?
Hell yeah there's a massive demand for cheap as possible steel case 7.62x39, 5.45x39, and 7.62x54R. we need as many new imports as we can get and PSA to manufacture it. Once this starts, people will be able to enjoy their hobby again and sales will skyrocket. Who ever delivers will be filthy rich. It would be nice to 7.62x39 .20-.30 cpr, but no more than .50 cpr.
Boxer primers, copper jackets......why not make inexpensive brass cased ammo too? Regular old AKs made in Russia are approaching $2000. That will only go up from there. Plus, with boxer primers it can be reloaded. I'm curious to see how inexpensive this steel case stuff will be 👍🙏✌️
6.5 Grendel
You said they will be making 7.62x39 soon, when will it be sold? When can I expect to buy it?
When is it happening??
Hurray for PSA
Hey my dear brother. I have been searching youtube since a week after psa steel cased x39 came out and still am yet to find a velocity and accuracy/consistency review of the cartridges.
Hey, I'm trying to get some myself, but haven't been able to find any in stock yet.

Merry Christmas! If you go to my channel and click on the little down arrow next to the word "subscribed" It will let you select the type of notifications you want to receive for my channel. If you select "all" you should get them.
Awesome news for yall foreign caliber peeps .. on a side note , I had my local ffl order me a PSA lower ( AR ) went and looked at it and did my paperwork Friday after work , but there weren't any stickers in the box at all .. I thought they always put stickers in the box , or am I wrong ??
I got a big sticker with just 10 or 15 boxes of Blade ammo
People always crying about stickers lol
I gave away a ton of PSA and their sister brand stickers on livestreams recently.
Glad to hear they told the govt. clowns to go pound sand!
