    Awesome video!!! Thanks so much for taking the time to explain. I’m literally writing notes on a system to keep warm during extreme cold extended hunting trips in Massachusetts. I didn’t know they made different thickness base layers or that you can get ones with the fancy thumb holes. I’m sold on it.
    Do you ever double up the base layers using the thinner one coupled with the thick one or do you just stick to the one you need for the given temperature range and add more layers of insulation or sweaters?

      I have doubled up base layers in sub zero temps, but they really are made to work best with skin contact. thumb holes are clutch!
