Wow, talk about a grand entrance to NJ. Smart to stop and dry off. We love DWG, the little Apple Pie Bakery, ice cream, and definitely a vortex town. Thanks for posting. It's a lot of extra work, but I so appreciate it. The miles will go fast now. Have fun and make memories
Too bad for the storm. You missed a nice overlook of yards creek reservoir where we had an awesome rope swing as kids. Epic battle with park rangers to keep it in place. We lived
Holy moly, that was bad. Glad you two are OK. Must have been a while ago because I thought the east coast no longer had rain. At least it seems that way in VA. Hope your hiking luck improves!
Yikes! That was one heck of a downpour 😮 glad you made it to a hostel so you could at least stay dry and dry out some of your things. Being soaked in a tent would be miserable 😖 ❤ Uou always seem to put a positive spin on the hard stuff. Love that! Chuck is lucky to have you and you’re lucky to have Chuck! I need to find a “Chuck” for myself. (In the mid-late 40 range and… Canadian lol) If you know any, let me know! 😂❤
This is why I have a rain cover for my pack and an umbrella in the summer. Keeps my stuff dry and I may get wet but not drenched. I have to admit this looked pretty miserable, I don’t blame ya one bit for the Nero. Happy Trails y’all.
@@Sloth_Hikes I have a pack liner because my packs material is waterproof but the unfortunately pack isn’t seam sealed so when it’s hurricane type of rain/wind ain’t nothing saving it - even with a pack cover (unless you’ve got a cover that covers up the part where the top of your shoulder straps meet your pack 😅)
@@Sloth_Hikes if I were redoing my rain gear setup I’d go pack liner/poncho. This sea to summit one looks awesome. seatosummit.com/products/ultra-sil-nano-tarp-poncho
Well, this was not the best AT introduction video for me to watch with my 92 yo mother! 🤣 During the storm, she said something like, " They could be in an Italian restaurant now having a glass of wine." She thinks we're all nuts! 🤣🤣

WOW!! You got HAMMERED!! But, fecals occur. It is what it is. Just glad you're safe!!

Bummer, what a down pour to get caught in! At least y'all found a place to dry out for the night. Wish you could send it back down here to Lynchburg.
Y’all are awesome!

That rain was intense. Hope everything dries before you pack up and go

She’s not wrong 🤣
What offline app do you use for editing? Just curious 😊
Capcut! But if I have a signal I prefer Splice.
No umbrella?
@@macattack5162 an umbrella would have been useless in this situation 🤣 the wind would have turned that thing inside out haha.
