Buy yourself some moldable icepacks. Should be able to get them for under two bucks. Freeze them when you are in HOTEL/HOSTELS. Put one under your shirt and tuck it in and go. At night you can get them chilled out in a stream at night. Currently I have ten ice packs in my freeze right now and two on my back. My home ice packs are much bigger because I do not have to worry about weight
I'd do the exact same thing by getting into hotels every night until the heat breaks. We've never had this much heat and humidity. Get into AC and restaurants as much as you can. From this point on, mainly CT to Maine, the hotels are ridiculously price. At 65 yo, I eat like a 10 yo. Mozz stcks vs a salad??? The mozz sticks for the win. Salad, 😂😂😂. Temps up here in Maine have been in the upper 90s for two weeks! It’s definitely hot here at times in the summer, but this is a heat wave for is for sure. Be careful out there.
Dying to know how much the rooms cost up where your at ? Especially that last room ! It looked sooo nice !! What could one expect to spend in a room at that last place ? I wanna go !! LOL 😀 😆
So, the gunfire you heard was from West Point. The plebes are in their summer training and that was them at the rifle range. Also, I totally understand the heat and humidity at this point of the trail. It's going to get better quickly!!!
It’s a common occurrence here where we live to see a flock of turkeys that many in early summer but the sad part is that you see them getting less and less as the days go by until you only see 4 or 5 make it all the way, the harshness and reality of living in the wild😢. That is some bougie hotel for sure, you deserved it being out there in the heat!
Also, the garbage was terrible. We own a fast casual restaurant and 99% of people are great and considerate. Unfortunately, the other 1% aren't so great.
