- We are back with another breakdown. This time we talk about the man that will be standing across from Justin Gaethje come UFC 300, Max Holloway. Max is an AMAZING fighter no doubt but will he have the power and ability to outclass someone like Justin Gaethje. After all he did have a crack at Poirier at 155 and Poirier seemed to durable for max in the long run. We want to know your thoughts?!

Champ you're a professional fighter and you say poireir and gaethje have similar hands and boxing? I think once you watch justins fights and really study then you will see his boxing is really not great to say the least
@@NateBrownsMix Depends which fights you study as Gaethjes boxing has improved and is definitely more similar to Dustin Poiriers now. Those leg kicks from Gaethje are lethal, sadly for Max who eats a lot of them. I'm rooting for Max.

No, they are the same height and Max actually put on more muscle this time unlike his fight with Poirier. Max gets the win. Justin is pretty sloppy defensively in the stand-up

One thing I haven’t seen many people take into account is Max actually had time to get to a good 155 this time. He’s in great shape. He still has to take Gaethje’s monster strikes, but it’ll be a helluva fight either way

Im most worried about the calf kicks. Max has been susceptible to them in the past and Justin has the heaviest kicks

I just feel everyone is basing this fight off of Max fight against Dustin. If you take away the power shots that Dustin had, Max won the fight. Also, if you look at Max the past 2 fights he just looks bigger, his body is starting to fill up and his shots are being felt more. He could have easily beat Zombie in the 2nd.

I can't bet against Max.
Max has such an open guard when he fights which makes it easy for shots to come through once the void is crossed. But that open guard gives his eyes and his reflexes that much more time to react. Justin throws hooks with serous bad intentions. I feel Justin’s leg kicks will as well be a big factor in this fight. Unless max just puts some serious thump behind his punches like that fight ending shot he did to KZ.

That last punch by Max was nice af. He backed up and planted down which added more power to his strike.

Holloway's problem is that he only boxes and has the most strikes absorbed in the UFC history. Standing in front of a guy like Gaethje and exchanging, i don't think he is capable of taking the heat. It's one thing in featherweight but a whole different thing in lightweight. I think Justin will soften him up in the first round and a vicious one punch walkaway ko in the second. Gaethje hits harder than Poirier imo and we all remember how every punch Dustin threw snapped Holloway's neck.
Wboy you need to fight Charles Oliveira for that NMF championship 😅

I like both of them. But come on Justin can win by KO or decision even though he doesn’t do it much submission or ground and pound. He can win in so many ways. Max can only win by decision. You can just see Justin keeping Max from building momentum. Ripping wicked leg kicks from up close Freaking Max out on how close Justin can be to him and still kick his legs out. I have total respect for Max This is such a savage move from him. Good luck to both men.
Max needs to leverage his speed otherwise he’s F’d! Quick in and outs with precision damaging strikes, not getting my hopes up though this could be a career ender for Max.

Justin finished Dustin and can also wrestle. Styles make fights but Max is a striker. Can he overwhelm Justin? Justin has that power that can ko Max. Like both guys and don't want to see them fight.

A BMF is someone who will fight anyone, anytime, anywhere. Therefore, the NMF should be the opposite. Since Wonderboy fights, he should be stripped of his title, and the title should be given to someone like me who won't fight anyone, never, nowhere.
Both my favorite fighters, but Max will take it. Stylewise, granite chin, endless cardio, great striking. I think Max overwhelms Gaethje from round 3 - 5, while round 1 and 2 will be very competitive. I honestly think Max will make it look like his fight vs Kattar, after he gets really into the fight. So I think round 3 is where Max will show up and do what he always does. 😮

He's not too small, but he's under powered on comparison. He can't reply on a stand and trade punches with, Justin. That would be fighting his fight. Max has to mix it up and take it to the ground. Justin on his back is disabled.
Max doesn't KO and Gaethje doesn't get KOed. Max is a good 145 and Justin is a sizable 155er. No way in hell Justin loses.

That was a jerk move by the ref pulling Zombie's hands away at 5:38. There's no rule that says you can't prevent someone from moving their crotch towards you by pressing against the cup. You just can't attack it.
He was shaking the hands to make sure Zombie wasn't choked out. Not to pull them away.

@@biohazard5551 Yeah, I guess maybe 'jerk move' was a bit harsh. It was a great fight and I get really testy about the ref getting in the middle of those...which is probably not the coolest attitude to have in general about fighter safety so I won't think about that too much!

Justin is dangerous. Max can actually got hurt like Ferguson. This fight will be too much for him. Justin's hits and kicks are destructive. They are in a different level.

Yes he can. But will that win him the fight? Justin needs less contact to do more damage. And that is the problem. Max can not damage Justin as easily as Justin can damage him, that's what i think. Imho, its going to be the best fight on the card. 🇺🇲🪓☠️
