  • It's the fastest XC60 you can buy from Volvo. It's a plug-in hybrid. It produces over 450hp! So what's the trade off when you pay over $100,000 for this luxury family car?

They have removed supercharger from the MY23 XC60 and XC90 T8 Recharge models. Engine power remains the same. In addition to the rear motor, these models also have a smaller second HV electric motor/generator between the engine and transmission of about 34kW that helps the fill in the low end torque and cuts out when the turbo has spun up at higher revs. Regarding the HV battery, it never drains below 20% of the 18.8kWh capacity, even when the battery shows ‘empty’. Therefore, you will still have full performance in everyday driving since the engine will be charging the battery.

Always been a fan of Volvo’s clean design. The upcoming EX-90 seems to be leading the charge when it comes to much-needed interior updates. Thanks for the review!

Correction, battery at 0% is not 0%. You always have access to 455hp when accelerating, the petrol engine charges the battery pretty fast when it's nearly depleted so you can use the boost when you need to overtake cars. Not certain you can keep 455hp constantly for 30minutes, but then again, who drives at max power for long periods of time? That's right, nobody.

Charging the car using the car is probably the most inefficient way... I had a Mazda CX-60 PHEV that could do this and it dropped the MPG by pretty much 50%... something you should do if you need to. My T8 Ultimate is supposedly here with the dealership We shall see

I will only do the hybrid tbh, if you’re in the country with not so much ev charging gas is needed.

@@ProductReviewCars When Volvo went China? It go poopy! My beloved brand from the early 70's has now devolved to this over priced junk. It's a disgrace. Sweden, what were you thinking?
