A lot to say but basically, you’ll never get that velocity with any pellet. You also don’t want high velocity in most pellets as they are skirted and have horrible BCs. Anything over 950 with a pellet is just super hard to get them to stabilize if they aren’t a slug. Try JSB pellets and choose something like 8-10grain. Go for grouping not velocity. Remember it’s an air rifle and a break barrel at that. Accuracy is what kills, not power. Have fun!
I was actually getting 1100 plus a couple weeks before this with one of these same pellets but don't recall which right now. Not sure why such a huge difference from one sitting to the next. Maybe I'll have to clean that thing and try again. Ha! I definately agree accuracy is what's important. But yeah I've never seen it do the 1250. Thanks for stopping by!
@northdakotaplinking9794 About 700fps. Pellet design is what does the trick ~ pellet spin energy is in the front part of pellet. Good rifling is the main key.
Hola.
If you want to reach to 1250 fps you should shot with it when its new...definitely you can reach 1250fps even more...when you unbox the gun the first three or four shots can easily reach 1250fps with pba ammo
My Gamo groups far better than that but it requires a gentle hold. A guiding hand on the pistol grip and an open palm for the foreend. Hold it too tight and its like a shotgun.
Varmint is a very accurate rifle ive gotten 1187 over the crony 25yards grouping nickel size . But that 1187 out of 5 shots 2 times . Other 3 925 -890 with pba gold . My rifle does that for sum reason low fps then jump to breaking the sound barrier
Ok, why do you think a rifle rest would affect the accuracy? I was getting quarter size groups at about 20 yards. The groups opened up a bit here at 30 yards, but I was also using 4 different kinds of pellets.
I've enjoyed watching you videos uncle Jeremy! It has help pass time on my deployment. Keep it up!
Proud of you young man. You keep it up!

@@northdakotaplinking9794Try Crosman Premier Destroyer 7.4.
@@blubard6105 Sweet, thanks for the tip. What kind of velocity are you getting?

Gamo raptors break the sound barrier for me every time out of my gamo varmint.
I just picked one up and I want to do a similar review myself. Great info
Thanks for stopping by! Love my Gamo.

nice👍
The gamo raptors are great in my .177 varmint. You get a nice sonic crack, they break the sound barrier every time.

I had to turn away for the Miracle Whip part.
Link to purchase please?
Thanks
800s fps is the best .for accuracy .so you dont damage the seal.
Mine shot 1070,with RWS 5.7 super point. Thanks
Awesome, thanks for checking it out for the feedback! I'll have to check those out.
Your cats looking for it dinner you shot for it ha ha. Thanks
😆
is it loud because i want to buy it and i live in a neighborhood
Hi there, no, it's not too loud.
@@northdakotaplinking9794 oh ok thansk
How much does this rifle cost in dollars?
I think I paid right around $100 for mine. Probably still pretty close to that I'm thinking?
What kinda scope?
Hey John, it's just the stock scope that came with the gun.
My Gamo groups far better than that but it requires a gentle hold. A guiding hand on the pistol grip and an open palm for the foreend. Hold it too tight and its like a shotgun.
Break barrels are notorious for this. They need the "artillery hold"

Gamo varmint can definitely get the job done. Thanks for watching!
Your rifle has a defect....
Problem with that ther chicken is ya ain't gonna get many nuggets! Sure is fun to shoot though
Lucky enough to have that first pellet hit it, and a bonus ricochet lol.
Hello
Hey John, welcome aboard!
alloy...
How far??Thanks
If you're talking about how far I was to the targets, I don't recall exactly but I want to say 25 - 30 yards?
@northdakotaplinking9794 I would like to see a hatsan airtact work out,any caliber. Thanks
Dont need a 1000 fps is not accurate is perfect 580 fps . 11.9fp
Tienes razon Vasquez
Accuracy sucks because you’re on the rifle rest.
