So my very first detective Pikachu, that I got from a photo op, as well as my 3rd hat Slowpoke were shiny ^_^
If you get to play early you get shiny boosted it's insane how many shinys get caught on day one as soon as event airs.... if you work however and get home in the afternoon try to squeeze in a couple hours of play time, you won't get anything and then for the remainder of the event you farm for hours on end catching 500+ of the "new shiny" and never get it... I love this game
Finally I watch this video as I got my Shiny Detective Pikachu on the last day at 1:55pm waiting for me at home when I got home I'm happy now i can sleep peacefully 😌
I'm absolutely stoked caught 4 shinies today 2 detective Pikachu and then a shiny lillipup and then on my incense I caught a shiny alolan exeggutor. Now my grind consists of chimecco Growlithe and sudowoodo hopefully I can get.
It’s hard to play in downtown Seoul, unless there is an event. Near the official meet ups they probably will have more spawns. Busan is a better place to play for sure.
My second slowpoke was shiny and my first Pikachu was shiny. I also got a second shiny slowpoke about 10 minutes after my first. All 3 in 10 minutes.
Are the shiny odds the same or are they raised? I got Shiny Detectachu pretty easily, in less than 10 of them. I got it from the Sudowoodo path.
I don’t hatch a lot of eggs, perhaps have 2-3 eggs in incubators at once, because teh Pokemon that come from eggs are so boring 99% of the time. Today when taking a walk I put this video on when it popped up. Nice to have something to listen to. 🌟 Within five minutes I hatched a shiny Gligar, a Larvesta and a Frigibax. I’ve heard of stream shinies but are YT rares a thing? Thanks Nick! 🥰

Slowpoke must have boosted shiny rates, i have already caught 3 this event without really trying.
I dont know if the shiny rate for detective Pikachu are higher.. but I got 2 today..
I love how when Nick said "Slowpoke with a hat, the 'new' shiny..." a Slowpoke with a hat actually spawned for me. I checked it and it was shiny!

I’m sad I left Korea before the event, but if you’re into plushes you should look for 3rd Round ones cause they’re cheap “knock-offs” that look as good if not better than legit ones.

BTW, I still think you should get a cooler for your phone. Or a phone with active cooling. Both are great for Pokemon Go.

Color difference, sparkle, or there's a little symbol on the cp bar where you'd see if it is an incense and/or weather boosted mon

I feel like it's all part of the adventure when my phone inevitably dies, it's just fun to see how far I can get on 2%, and then after im done staring into the void, I can finally enjoy nature and walking without being tethered by my phone. Think of the Positive 😅 ✌️

It's a make-up day for the first day shadow zapdos came out, because Niantic had forgotten to turn on the shiny that first day.

I'm not sure I need stardust. I have 9 million.
Also, have already found a shiny Growlithe to make up the one I wasn't able to catch in Pokemon Sleep.
I have 18 million and i still feel like that isn't enough considering it takes about 500000 to 600000 dust to max and 2nd move a pokemon. I'm up to 70 level 50 mons and want to get to 100 maxed mons with at least 10 million stardust left over
