- Hey everyone welcome back to another video! I am sorry that I havent put a video out in a couple weeks but Ive been getting settled in at my new home. Ocala Florida!
So with that the first video I am making is of the 2020 Coachmen Freelander 22XG !!! Now this is replacing the coachmen freelander 21qb and I am so glad it is because there is a secret door in this one that is a game changer for RVs!
Why I love this motorhome is the simplicity of it. There is no options and not that much going on... Also no slide outs just a very simple small Class C
But the Best Part about this Motorhome is the Price!
This RV MSRP's at $82,568 with a sale price of $59,999 BUTTTTT that sale price has M.A.P pricing rule on it... which means that is the lowest were aloud to advertise online while the 2020's are still out.

I love it, the back door is a great for those excape route. plus if you feel safe enough you can open the door for more ventalation when its hot out. Love the convertable table to bed. the bathroom is just big enough to use and get out. the bigger the bathroom the longer people take. For her first time filming for you, i say she did great. and watch out. she cooks your food so be nice.

I like : no slide, the bed flip up, and u-shape dinnette. I dislike the small bathroom, no oven, and its not in my driveway.

Slides are a pain in the butt i tellbyou this by experience all they do is get stuck and neighbors complain about blocking them was nice being in their way I agree with you about the flip up bed don't like having to pull it down every time I want to take a rest but the OPEN space for me makes up for everything else
Robert Ott Agreed, ovens are getting outdated and slowly being replaced with air fryers and the small portable ovens that you plug in. I don’t even touch my gas stove in my house except for the burners, and the oven only goes on in November
The bathroom is sopposed to be that small it’s a motor home duh 🙄

Three dislikes: a knee knocker on the toilet, no side cameras, the dumping procedures
Awesome coach. My likes: No slide outs!! Love the size, and I love how the bed can be moved, so you can axcess your storage so easily. The only dislike is no ladder, to axcess the roof.

This is my favorite thus far. By far. The price for a new one is very attractive, the rear door and murphy bed storage for boat/bike is an absolute winner, and the dinette/lounge area negates the need for a couch.
What I don't like: Too beige on the color (it needs something), no skylight in the rig or window on the cab-over bunk; that I can't leave my place and check one out now.
Thanks Matt. This one squares the circle and allows anyone to get on the road. Parcel this up with a couple of Rad Rover bikes and you won't even need to tow a car.

We have and love this unit. You are exactly right about the good and bad. The back door and folding bed is excellent. Your review is spot on.
Andrea, you did a great job. In a few more vids you'll have this down pat. As for the RV, it's a decent package for the price. I (personally) hate the beds with the corner cut off. I also agree on the bathroom. Other than that, it's a pretty good RV.

Loved this model. We always used a regular ladder with our 5th wheel rather than the one on the coach. Negatives for us would be the bathroom and actual outside storage. Positives L-shapped dinette, lift up bed that doesn't actually have to be lifted up, and the cargo carrying capacity. Good job and welcome to Florida.

Totally. It's the very first thing that came to our mind.
One question related to scooters: That door is very high. Can a ramp be attached to get mobility scooters or other vehicles safely inside?
I had the same idea about mobility. The back door is 58.5 in high according to the guys at Coachman. I asked for the measurements and the sent them to me.
Having used a Toyota MH for many years, and being used to he compromises a small MH requires, this one looks like the best. Love the simplicity.

1. I love the fact that the bed flips up and no tanks beneath it as I sleep in a recliner so I could take that bed out and put my recliner back there. LOVE it! 2. Love the back door! Open it up, open the front one and let the breeze on thru.. 3. The price for a new rig! I love AZDEL already and that's the reason that I would buy a Coachmen because they use it in all their rigs. I love the fact it doesn't have a slide out...who needs the headache when they do bad, and it's not a matter of IF but WHEN the slide does go out. The dumping black and grey tanks on this confuse the heck outta me.

That is a rad little mobile home. I love the fold up bed and rear door. It makes it so roomy.. Awesome space to carry toys and I could see making it a little office area or seating area during the day.

Love rear access, sorta U-shape dinette, and placement of the controls and fuse box. Hate no ladder, prep counter higher than the sink counter, and toilet room (6'3")

For myself, I prefer no slides. Less maintenance in waiting that way. Also, the smaller space means its easier to heat, or cool. I full time, and boondock a lot in a Four Winds 28a. The simple design works out good for me.

Great job filming Andrea! I like the back door, the kitchen layout and having no slides. I don't like not having a ladder, the table/couch doesn't look comfortable for relaxing and the lack of room around the toilet would likely be a dealbreaker. My husband is just slightly taller than you and if you had trouble, so would he.

Great job filming Andrea - I am sure the on screen talent is demanding to work with haha! Likes: Storage is awesome- the back door provides a way better storage than 90% of the units out there. Great little couples RV that can accommodate kids too. The good: price point, value, storage and a Chevy great service support (OK that's 4)! The things we don't like: Exterior color boring, no ladder, TV's?

I love that there are no slides, and I love the J shaped dinette table. Of all the videos I have seen of Matt's so far, this is my favorite RV.

I've just decided to purchase almost exactly this, but its 22 ft and called a Leprechaun. I'm in Canada so maybe thats why? At any rate, its beautiful. I love how wide open the back door goes for when you lie in bed, the size of the fridge, and the size of the bathroom. I'm a single middle aged woman who has sold my house and will be living in this permanently and I can't wait!

Have had one like this since 2005. My wife became disabled and getting her in and out of mine was a challenge to say the least. With a back door like this one it would be a game changer for a wheelchair bound person. Nice job on that for sure. She passed away last year or this would be a no brainer. 55k on my chassis and not major issues.

Your wife did a great job with the camera, especially since it's with little experience. It's a beautiful RV and yet simplistic. I'd have to square the sink corner, change the angle on the toilet mount , that'd definitely add the room to maneuver.

I love the kitchen setup and the counter space! Good sofa/dinette layout. At least they tried to give you a few extra inches of bathroom counter but good point about the toilet location and space. I like the price!
I didn’t read all the comments but I read a few. To address a couple, someone commented no tow package but you mentioned it can honestly tow 5000lbs, correct?
Is there an trailer electric connector? Someone mentioned that you can’t convert the dinette to a bed, but you showed that you could.
I’m a Ford guy, so I might prefer a E450 chassis, but at this price point, I’d give Chevy and a gas motor a try.
Someone mentioned they don’t like the TV in the overhead bunk, but it looks like it’s on a long swing-out arm that would bring the TV out over the door.
The toilet is not a deal-breaker-at this size I’d prefer to to my business at the camp facilities-this would be a road-stop only affair.
The dump handles on the opposite sides are a little weird-what if something happened while you’re dumping?
The awning looks like you can lower either arm for drainage.
Dometic fridges are bad-ass. I assume it runs on 12v OR LP?
Someone mentioned kayaks. The rear storage door is definitely what sets this coach apart. What is the internal distance from the rear door to the engine hood? Could one fit a 18’6” kayak inside???

Dislikes: Plastic sinks & toilet, no ladder
I can't come up with three dislikes. I think this would be great for my husband and me. The press board cabinetry is not ideal, but we're older and know how to take care of things. If we had younger kids I wouldn't put this one on our list.

Pros SImple AC with out all of the ducting etc, this is a small coach, doesnt need it, , toy hauler feature, couch table and I think the passenger seat swivels, head room Cons: Bath area looks a little "super economy" Love the reviews the two of you do, you are so full of it......energy Matt, energy. I like the no ladder look myself. You can put those strapped on lawn chairs in cargo room now.....thanks guys!
