@Polstertron I loved Hugh but lets face it he lost his edge, hate to say it but The Stranglers got better and their spark back they day he left. Going to see them twice next month, always fucking awesome live and the new album sounds good as well
The thing is they have moved on since Hugh and if you here Hugh these days its desperate, Baz has done a great job since Roberts (the knob) left and injected a sense of enthusiasm into the group, just listen to the last 2 CD's and give them a chance, Another Camden afternoon, Norfolk coast, Barbara Shang-ri-la tracks that are very worthy or the Stranglers... I mean look at the stones last night...
Oh God it gets worse! JJ, Jet, Dave and some bloke on vocals that might as well be working in my local Newsagents? This isn't the Stranglers, it's a tribute band. The Stranglers without Hugh Cornwall is like Blur without Damon Albarn. Pointless and tragic.
They sound fantastic.

They had a ridiculously big crowd that day. Only 2nd to Florence from what I could see.
Hugh was the stranglers but you need to be a 70's lad to understand that
66 is the clue mate..
