That 6 fingers at 0:22 LMAO
Those fingers reminds me Bruce Almighty 😂
Damn, I didn’t realized that. Lol
WOW
I played it back at 0.25x speed and couldn't see a single graphical anomaly other than the finger. They did that way too well.
Gravity Falls confirmed? xD
I like how this is the only learning subject I have fun with
Jairo Henriquez same
If only subjects were presented like this
the donut episodes should be shown in every high school and college auto shop class and be used to teach people to become mechanics and stuff their is alot of learning potential with donut media episodes

Mj Tingzon Fucking Magnets | how do they work?
There's actually a really good video about differentials out there already that isn't real hard to find.
Sexy Mofo what’s the name of vid?
Mj Tingzon Around The Corner (1937) How Differential Steering Works
You should do one of these on engine configurations. Such as why we don't use V4 engines anymore, why straight engines have better balance, benefits of flat engines. I think people would find it interesting like I do.
Hey, I know it's 4 years late but I know an EXCELLENT channel to watch for such things.
@@QuincyStick well i found your comment 12 days late, so send it.
@@loliniser driving 4 answers has some amazing videos about engine balance and things like that. He explains such in depth concepts so well every time. literally on multiple occasions I've watched a video about a topic I didn't even know existed, and came out feeling really informed on the topic.
@@QuincyStick thank you very much kind sir!
@@loliniser of course!!
They work with electricity right ?
On A serious note can you do a video on straight cut gears
Im interested in learning how they actually work and Why they whine so high
Mike Arredondo about gearboxes in general
Mike Arredondo watch motive dvd channel, they just released video about manual gearbox in general
As well as a cvt transmission!!!
They whine because the gears are straight cut and not helical cut. Just like the reverse on any car. Rougher and more aggressive gears = whine
I can't stand CVT transmissions, but, would still enjoy learning about them!
AWESOME!
Can you explain how fuel-injection is superior to injection from a carburetor DOWN TOTHE ATOM?
thats a very good question
Γιαννης Ξυνιδης Why thank you 🙏🏻
Ken Block Thanks 🙏🏻
Would make a nice episode.
M. Arbah Binamin Yea it would 😜
This feels inspired by Bill Nye The Science Guy, which is a compliment in my book.
Cars Simplified true. This format makes the topic so interesting to watch
& by Back to the Future ... 6:23
Bill Nye isn't a real "science guy", he is more of an "SJW that denies science...guy".

I don't know why this series' lectures are way more interesting to listen to than my math and science teacher hahaha
Him: SIX CELLS!

It’s so weird how he talks fast enough that I just about have no idea what’s going on but explains it so well that I subconsciously understand and actually end up knowing what’s going on overall without even having to rewind or relisten to anything.
Only two weeks ago my grandpa and me participated in a classic car race. Midway through the trip on the second day our alternator died. But we still made it through the day with the battery!

This is my favorite comment of all-time. Thank you, unknown internet human. I appreciate your brain.
I just thought he loved his job.
Literally how much better school would have been if you were my teacher or I could of learnt so much more and been interested in learning from videos like these! Like I’ve never really thought about learning about car batteries and alternators and now I know and will remember loads about it from you just being a genuinely great teacher from the heart of all things about cars and more! I just guess I’m here to say thanks aha (the cool editing and directing also helps keep me interested but it’s not too much to distract me from the subject of the video) great work donut media
i wish every teacher can be as clear and simple as this guy
That was comical and informative in such a way that I learned it all the first time and wanted to go back a second time. Good job. You guys did great on this video and well earned my subscription.
Thanks for this Bart. I work at Advance Auto Parts and I needed this explanation in order to explain this to my customers. More battery sales for me!
Interesting to see an episode on this. I always knew these things were dangerous, but it's cool to see a more in-depth look at this.
I love how Bart is not only a great science educator and car enthusiast, but a self-policing, multi-dimensional army of clones from the future! It really adds that special something to learning physics and chemistry! :)
I love these videos because I'm learning a whole lot of things and they are fun to watch! Could the next one be how gearbox works? It's the only one I can't understand
my tech school uses you guys videos to teach new kids how things work, im in diesel technology and we used this video and many others too learn our stuff, even the instructor a vietnam veteran was reccomending we go and watch you guys and these videos
Congratulations on 800k subs!
This is way better than the drunk explanations of my father when he was also yelling at me about where to point the flashlight. Thanks Donut Media 😁

I never would of thought I would use Donut Media to finish a school project.
10/10 nice boy bart. Can you please make a vidoe about Koenigsegg Direct Drive and Torque Converters aslong as your wife doesnt read this?
am sad that would be nice, watched some video where Christian von Koenigsegg explains it himself, didn’t understand one thing.
Funny exceptional teacher.
I enjoyed it
Can Bart be my Math teacher for next year?
This series reminds me so much of BIll Nyes old TV series, not going to lie I love the crap out of it.
Fuel cell cars next please!
I agree with this. Can fuel cell cars replace petrol cars for car enthusiasts?
FlyingSamosa52 i really do hope fuel cell cars can take over
half of everything I know about cars is from you guys. You are the best.
Awesome and informative video as always.
Next, can you make an episode about the differences and pros/cons of a Dry Sump vs Wet Sump oil system?
You have a unique gift of making complicated subjects understandable to peasants.

Great idea to put Science Garage and Up to Speed right after each other.
One is ear raping you, the other is a big bearded man that yells at you.

hey donut, I use a gold series battery from my local auto parts store. It was advertised as being more powerful and rugged. Is that possible with how you explained batteries work? Cheers.
Breeki Gopnik Did you pay +$100 for a battery? Lel
Jeff Fisher thankfully it was on a warranty exchange from an old one sold at the same store. It was free, but was sold for nearly $200 kek

Petition to bring back science garage for new and learning mechanics?
I have been watching a lot of videos about alternators and this ones the best
That RedOx reaction in batteries took me a month to understand for my engineering entrance exams which I passed but did not enroll. I kinda wish I would have enrolled back then now.
Yooo, you're the coolest guy in youtube for me now, i've always want to learn stuff about cars and here i am, thank you
This is actually quite helpful, as I'm learning about acid and alkali.
who would've thought
He makes learning scientific stuff fun and exciting!!
I never expected a video about alternators to be actually hilarious! thanks for explaining that in the end, we all just want to get home, right? :P
This guy will make world great again.
The device that changes ac into dc is actually called rectifier and it is not only made of diodes but also capacitors
Is there way to increase the voltage from mechanical energy to get more electricity without spinning faster? Maybe make a very light part spin very fast? Maybe transformer or dangerous parts of microwave applied?
Loved the portal at 2:43. Keep rocking the super entertaining learning shiz
Good teaching. Only mistake is that car alternators regulate the "low" current in the rotor/armature. It's sends the "low" DC current via the slip rings, where more current is given, to the rotor generating a stronger magnetic field, thus making the alternator make more "High" output current.
What you described in your vid is a motorcycle alternator. They have a device called a regulator-rectifier that rectifies and then regulates they main "High" output current. The rotor is NOT "low" dc powered in a motorcycle alternator, it has permanent magnets. I like these teaching vids, I can learn a lot from this.
This really helped me learn. Thanks for your humorous way of teaching
I’m in school for aircraft mechanics and I know it ain’t the exact same. But it’s similar so I definitely appreciate the explanation
I really like your style of explaining things in the video and I also don't need a headphone for listening the clear audio.
I bought a car that didn't have a working alternator; so I ran a pair of jumper cables from the car's battery onto a secondary battery sitting on the passenger seat to keep it running long enough to load it onto a trailer.
Makes me realize how important alternators can be for running an engine.
Many excitement for this episode, much funness
I love this guy energy
this is so much better then the last video I watched
Greatest show ever watched....heads up great work
That sixth finger got me laughin' ... you're awesome
Great video!!!... but you know what's even better the part of the video where AC DC it's playing in River Plate Stadium In Argentina 🇦🇷!!!....Go River Plate & AC~DC!!!!!!!👍👍👍
So much better than how my Aircraft Electricity Instructor explained it! Also, gotta love how Bart uses the multiverse idea!
donut should also starting doing videos on how to maintain a car, how to put mods on cars, how to fixs/restore cars, ex engine lights fixes ect.
This is shocking, who knew science could be this electrifying 😎.
I didn't expect this video to be so interesting and engaging. Reminded me of Bill Nye!!
Boy i wished this was posted before my chemistry exam
I wish I could be as excited about anything as much as this guy is excited about everything.
they probably use a full bridge rectifier which is 4 diodes that convert ac to dc in a much smoother manner. in electrics they also come pared with capacitors to further smooth out the current in circuit for those sensitive electronics in your phone etc.
Most likely yea, but it's one of those small overlooked things, like how in some vehicles (im not sure if its a thing all makes and models do/have) but some cars supply 14V to the battery as apposed to 12V
Bro you got an insane amount of knowledge into this video!
We need a one direction reference every Science Garage video
I JUST LOVE SCIENCE GARAGE SO MUCH!!!💛💛💛
