"When you get rejected, the same area of your brain that experiences physical pain gets activated."
No wonder it hurts so much.
I experienced rejection after rejection for 5 months while I was unemployed and applying for jobs in tech, and damn did it hurt.
I felt like I kept getting knocked over time and time again, and the thing that got me through was learning about how different successful and inspiring people dealt with rejection.
There was a recurring theme. Successful people do not shame themselves for being rejected. Instead, they reflect, they improve, and they MOVE ON.
Rejection forces you to learn and grow and redirects you to where you are supposed to be. It brings you closer to your goal and success.
So with this newfound realization and motivation, I persisted.
In this video, I share my story of rejection to hopefully inspire and motivate others who may be struggling. I filmed this on a whim as I opened my new Breville coffee machine. Hope it lights you up!

I've gone through the same thing literally last year! Nobody ever tells a physician aspirant and then a practicing physician what its like outside of clinical medicine. Its like literally being like a rouge doctor. But hang in there. your grit is going to get you through this rough patch. I've found an amazing role where I can still have an impact and my medical background was as relevant as ever.
That's so awesome and inspiring! May I ask what role it is?
You have the right attitude!!
Looking forward to more videos!!
Thank you! :)
Hey le
I've graduated from medical school..
One direct question
How do i prepare a resume (CV) for healthcare tech job
Hi Praveen, your CV should highlight your skills and experience and how they align with the role you’re applying for. To be honest I find networking and reaching out to people directly more powerful. Even when I look through CVs of applicants it’s really hard to gauge a person’s knowledge and skill set without directly talking to them.
