    THIS IS EXACTLY WHY TECHNOLOGY IS SO SLOW AND WE WILL NEVER SEE AUTOMATIC DRIVING IN OUR LIFETIME TIME AND ALSO WHY WE CANT HAVE NICE THINGS. BECAUSE CAVEMAN IDIOTS ALWAYS HAVE A PROBLEM. WITH ALL THE SAFETY MEASURES IN PLACE THERES ALWAYS GOING TO BE SOME IDIOT THAT COMPLAINS...SO DOES THAT MEAN WE SHOULD NEVER HAVE FULL SELF DRIVING?

    • @FernandoR211
      @FernandoR211 Před 3 lety +26

      This is why idiots run into semis and blame tesla for auto pilot being faulty. People are finding ways to bypass the safety measures put in place. Its a beta product. Its a beta feature. But products like this allows people to bypass safety requirements of keeping your hands on the steering wheel and keeping attention on the road. Tesla is really close to releasing FSD. But if it gets banned because the Highway safety commission deems it unsafe because of people like you and others using devices like this? It never will.

    What sucks about Tesla’s auto pilot/self driving is that even if you are driving dead straight on a highway, the car will constantly nag you to “nudge the wheel”, even though the wheel doesn’t need to be nudged at all. To me, it makes self driving useless. If you are forced to move the wheel every 15 seconds, even if you are driving perfectly straight, what’s the point? I have very little faith in Tesla’s FSD and I only paid for Enhanced AutoPilot. I would use this device and I am 100% confident that it would be totally safe. The nag is truly a nag and in my opinion, it does nothing to make me a safer driver. My hands are ALWAYS on the wheel and ready to take over if necessary. I just don’t understand why Tesla forces the drive to turn the wheel when it doesn’t need turning. My two cents....

      Maybe you don't understand that true self driving isn't legal yet. And if you believe your autopilot is totally safe, then you are an idiot. And Tesla isn't requiring you to turn the wheel with the nag, it's requiring you apply some torque to the wheel.

    • @sleasy01
      @sleasy01 Před 3 lety

If the car goes to long without issuing a warning it’ll just completely disengage until next drive….I haven’t figured out how long that takes but it’s a good while. Maybe 5 mins if not more…but it u place your hand on the wheel on the opposite side of the weight you’ll counter the weight and trigger the warning….once the warning appears let the steering wheel go and the warning will disappear as well. As long as the warning is being triggered every so often the no nag works. Still annoying

      It’s not illegal, there’s no law that says you can’t use a device like this to my knowledge. You’re simply bypassing the need of applying pressure to the steering wheel every 20 secs. It’s no different than getting a car then modifying it with a bigger engine and exhaust system thus changing the manufactures specs simply to go faster. IMO the risk is the same. If you’re paying attention to the road, you’re ready to take over when needed, then you’re using autopilot responsibly. I see no problem with it.

      @@kajimakerz8493 there’s good reason for it. Many drivers will just put this on and go to sleep, but in the event the car turns back to Manuel mode in an emergency, the driver won’t have any control. There was an event just like that where a cop tried to pull the Tesla over, but the Tesla just kept driving while the driver was sleeping. People can’t be trusted with full self driving yet

    Should you be videotaping and driving at the same time? Bypassing safety features isn’t a good idea, just like the turning knob you have on the other side of the wheel, which is illegal but in some jurisdictions due to injuries caused in accidents. People can do what they like, but it will be interesting to see what the insurance company says after an accident with this mod installed.

    I love all the Karen's whining about "promoting" a 'unsafe' product. Why are you here?? Why did you search for this content if you're so opposed to it?? Alot of products are use at your own risk. If you think this is that big of a deal, that just reinforces how bad of a driver you are. These cars are better drivers than many humans. Still means you should keep your eyes on the road and ready to retake control at any time. If you don't then thats your fault and you'll face the consequences of being a loser.

      I think the ones complaining are more likely concerned about others harming other people, not of them personally using this and harming others. Imagine if there was a concoction that would make it so that the police cannot detect that you’re inebriated if you get pulled over, would you have peace of mind about other drivers using that while you go about your day following the law while a couple of cheaters make the road less secure since they can get away with it?
      It’s fine if you crash your car and you’re the only one who gets injured by it because it’s your own fault. But this could potentially kill an innocent bystander, or maim someone else. It’s not about you, it’s about society and caring about others. I’ll bet if another Tesla owner crashes into you because he used this device you would change your mind.
