Hidden Devices are not just something that got hidden. It basically shows other drivers that are not being used but still exist in you pc. These are something that u have to delete. Never it will help if u try to update a hidden driver. Now for your issue that no driver is being show. In that case either your camera is facing a hardware issue or your PC is not able to recognise it due to lack of drivers. As a troubleshooting step you can go onto official site of your PC manufacturer and search for your model no. See if there's any driver available. If not then you will have to do a Custom Installation of Windows 10 on PC ( Before that I would suggest that you check on manufacturer website that do they provide Drivers for Windows 10 for your model no. which basically confirms the compatibility ) Now after custom Installation( NOT clean installation ) of Windows 10 your camera must work if that's not a hardware issue. Else will have to go to the service center of your PC to get camera repaired .
I tried this. This did NOT work either. My webcam never worked in Windows 11, and HP website says they only have driver for Windows 10 for my laptop; at this point it seems the only way to make this work is to go back to Windows 10.

Dude WTF When u reoved the hidden devices, I Got the camera. But then u said u need to delete it, This process was wrong. After getting the camera option, u could have restarted it.
I've followed your instruction patiently, until I uninstalled the cameras integrated in my device manager. but then it is missing for forever. How come your cameras appear after you uninstalled it then close the device manager, check updated software, and then reopen the device manager, and magicly it appear?
This Microsoft solution worked for me: Before working through the possible solutions listed, do these first: Check for updates. Select Start , then select Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates. If you see the option to View optional updates, select it to see if there are updates available for your camera. Allow available updates to install, then restart your device when it's ready. Restart your PC. If you haven't restarted your device since the camera stopped working, you should do so. Select Start , then select Power > Restart. Waking up your device from sleep isn't the same thing as a restart. Test your camera with the Camera app. Select Start , then choose Camera from the list of apps. If you're asked to allow access to the Camera, select Yes. If the camera works in the Camera app, the problem might be with the app you're trying to use.
Thank goodness! This error was a nightmare for me, and everything I had looked up was completely useless--I finally got it back by about 2:30 with a system reset (and another Windows Update 🙃) I can't believe this is still an issue a year later, but I'm so thankful this was still helpful!!

What Sriram did at 5:00 is what made my camera finally turn back on, after months of trying. Uninstall ---> Action ---> Scan for hardware changes. This made my camera turn back on right away, for whatever reason. A pleasant surprise. Thanks for the awesome video, man!

To anyone witth this problem seeing this, It fixed for me by uninstalling my camera driver then selecting "Scan for hardware changes" and letting windows reinstall the driver automatically.
"Make sure your camera is turned on. If you have a newer model Lenovo laptop (2018 and newer), there may be a switch near the camera that either covers or opens the built-in Lenovo camera lens. If it is closed any app that uses the camera will show a blank image. Check this switch to make sure your camera is not disabled." I did this as recomended and it was a switch near my webcam I did not even notice and it fixed it!

Guys, check if FN + F6 (or F10) is enabled on your keyboard. That's the manual on / off button.

How come your cameras appear after you uninstalled it then close the device manager, check updated software, and then reopen the device manager, and magicly it appear?
have you been able to figure this out? I just ran into the same problem...

This Microsoft solution worked for me:
Before working through the possible solutions listed, do these first:
Check for updates. Select Start , then select Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates. If you see the option to View optional updates, select it to see if there are updates available for your camera. Allow available updates to install, then restart your device when it's ready.
Restart your PC. If you haven't restarted your device since the camera stopped working, you should do so. Select Start , then select Power > Restart. Waking up your device from sleep isn't the same thing as a restart.
Test your camera with the Camera app. Select Start , then choose Camera from the list of apps. If you're asked to allow access to the Camera, select Yes. If the camera works in the Camera app, the problem might be with the app you're trying to use.
I forgot to mention that installing the updates to the camera drivers based on the View optional updates, did the trick.

I have just uninstalled it. After that I restart my Laptop now its working.
Thank goodness! This error was a nightmare for me, and everything I had looked up was completely useless--I finally got it back by about 2:30 with a system reset (and another Windows Update 🙃)

What Sriram did at 5:00 is what made my camera finally turn back on, after months of trying. Uninstall ---> Action ---> Scan for hardware changes. This made my camera turn back on right away, for whatever reason. A pleasant surprise. Thanks for the awesome video, man!

To anyone witth this problem seeing this, It fixed for me by uninstalling my camera driver then selecting "Scan for hardware changes" and letting windows reinstall the driver automatically.
"Make sure your camera is turned on. If you have a newer model Lenovo laptop (2018 and newer), there may be a switch near the camera that either covers or opens the built-in Lenovo camera lens. If it is closed any app that uses the camera will show a blank image. Check this switch to make sure your camera is not disabled." I did this as recomended and it was a switch near my webcam I did not even notice and it fixed it!
